Fascinating to learn the ins and outs, esp as a musician! Love it!

Very cool. Never really thought about how instruments get repaired. A lot of musicians are picky about their instruments and how they sound, so it must really take a lot of skill not to damage them further. I’d be too stressed out to even touch them, much less take them apart and put them back together again with replaced parts.

Very cool, I've worked as a metal finisher in a car factory. Little similarity. 😊

I am age 77 a Vietnam veteran who plays in high school bands under Papa James, Harry James' brother. I played at the Houston Youth Symphony and All City Band.
Returning from Vietnam I had difficulty spelling words, making it very hard in University. Going to University and raising a family made it impossible to play in an orchestra, but now I got an offer to play with a school kid so I want to try and hope for the best in my last few days.
I was going to send my trumpet to Anderson, but now to see your video I hope you can do your expertise to repair and seal the insides of the corrosions. My Trumpet is a King with all the engravings on the bell. It is currently in South Carolina. Two Tube smalls might need to be replaced.
Please do not be afraid to quote on my Trumpet. Just in general what do you charge for plating keeping in mind that try to keep the sound of the brass, please?
    Thank you
    Mr. Dickey
