If it's a real fight Tyson wins easily. Jake Paul went the distance with Nate Diaz. A slow lightweight with no power and Nate still backed him up a bunch of times.
Tyson is a 228lb natural heavyweight. If it's real Jake has no chance, none, zero. The fact that Jake's fight with Nate was so close means Jake has no chance against Tyson. None. He's not going to land a lucky punch. Tyson made Roy Jones look like an amateur pulling back on every punch and that was just a couple years ago. Jake's a fat 222lb Tyson is not fat at all.
The power difference is going to be 3 weightclasses apart. Tyson has mailboxes for fists Nate had little birdy marathon runner hands and that was enough to hurt Jake.

With 16 ounce gloves I scored a liver shot knockdown against a heavywieght. I'm a middlewight. At my best, I never had the power that Tyson does at 58.
I adopted his shuffle step and used it extensively, it doesn’t work well if you aren't fully commited to pressing to get inside. Tyson's losses stemmed from when he failed to commit to getting inside. RJJ couldn't stop him from that a few years ago. Douglas and Holyfield did though.
I don’t think Jake has the tools to keep Tyson at bay for long and Jake has a tendency to drop his right hand which no one has made him pay the price for. I don’t think he's trained that habit out. It takes pain and loss to train bad habits out fully. Jakes needs to be lateral and pivot out of trouble. He is actually decent at pivoting out left but often still puts himself near the ropes. I don’t know if I've ever seen him go to his right. Sometimes you have to because your opponent is trying to beat you your left side.

It basically means nothing. Normally "sanctioned" in boxing refers to the one of the 4 major commissions (WBC, IBF, etc) but not in this case, that's why I say it's a trick.

Ten years ago I took up boxing for fitness, I am now age 68. At 59 and 60 I was hammering the heavy bag and doing 300+ pushups per day. Age 61 through 62, my power dropped 20% and pushups dropped to under 100.
Two factors I see are shelf life of Mike and obvious leg joint issues we all saw a year ago. His heart is age 45, hands are age 55, legs are age 65. If Mikes doesn't finish Jake by 3 minutes in it won't be pretty. I'm not betting on this fight.

@@callfourzero1931 Sorry. Too harsh of me. For someone who started training at 59 to make comparative conclusions about Tyson's potential fitness level is not going to factor into realistic analysis however.
Tyson has trained at an intensity level that is probably near the human threshold and is one of the premier natural specimens in the sports history. That alone puts him in a unique category. Paul has never achieved the fitness level, or anything near it that Tyson maintained for over a decade.
Age is definitely a factor, but an ATG boxer has achieved a base fitness level that is beyond what most people have or could achieve.
His chin is proven world class, which is rare under any physical circumstance. Although that, along with many other assets, will definitely fade with age, most humans do not posses the ability to absorb world class bombs from HW fighters regardless of how well trained they are. Tyson's fought in many 12 round bouts at the elite level and has ended countless champions and top contenders, who also had proven chins. Paul has never absorbed a world class HW shot, or finished anyone near contender status.
Larry Holmes outclassed Butterbean at age 55 and Butterbean was a proven threat with a much better resume than Paul will ever have.
To me this fight is a farcical cash grab, regardless of the outcome, which will probably be staged.

I was in a gym with more champs than any other gym in the world. Main St. Houston Tx. This was about 25-30 yrs ago. I am a middle weight, but I decided to spar with the 8th ranked heavy weight in the world. He was African and could hit you from 6 ft away. I thought I would "Joe Frazier" him. Landed a solid left hook and then I saw the look in his eye change. Then I saw the rafters. Didnt hurt at all, like getting hit by a train. Felt like I woke up from a nap.

Hey, Tony is there any way to avoid CTE in boxing? It really scares me so I tried working out my neck I heard it helps

I believe in a way jake is reviving boxing among people
I dont know but jake is definitely not a clown he is just acting and doing his damn role
In reality jake seems to be an intelligent guy

I was like you when the fight got announced thinking it was a pointless UA-camr v. An older weaker version of Mike Tyson.
But Paul has got himself in shape and Tyson looks great and hungry.
It's like a generation battle too.
I'll be interested how it plays out.

You are right on about the power of Heavyweights vs. Light Heavies ! I think former World Light Heavyweiight Champ Bob Foster was 0-8 vs. Heavyweights

Great analyst sir. totally agree with you. As for the game plan I expect to see Jake Paul going for the KO right from the start hoping to surprise a fresh Tyson. Well, chances are it will end up Tyson Marvis Frazier Jake Paul and its gonna be brutal. No one can handle the ferociousness of Iron Mike and he is on a beast mode right now. Look at his face in the latest interviews. He's focused and have that darkness killer look once again. Jake Paul just woke up the sleeping bear.

Excellent analysis! I agree with everything you said. Mike Tyson may be 58, but I don’t know what that translates into normal boxer stats. The biggest question is whether or not Jake can handle the power of Mike Tyson. And honestly, I don’t even know if Jake lands any solid hits. Mike seems too fast even at this age. My prediction is either it’s over in the first round or it’s over in the third round.

The difference between a 10 and a 14oz glove is massive. I’m not saying you can’t do damage with either one but I’ve messed around with both and I can tell you I definitely have a favorite.

I have been watching boxing from a Young age in the early 1970s and did a bit when I was younger to protect myself from bullies and my dad always taught us to look after ourselves growing in South London. Street fighting is very different from the boxing ring and Mike Tyson has done both grew up and trained the hard way.
I really hope he punishes Jake a loud mouth and plays him a bit and knocks him out in style. The last thing a boxer loses is his punch and Tyson certainly has that power punch. As for Jake is all about the money he is not a boxer or street fighter. Tyson trained all of his younger life so his muscle mass is still there and hope the muscle memory kicks in with adrenaline 👊👊👊👊👊👍👊👊👊👊👊
