I’m a 62 year old father of two girls, 24 and 22, I’m trying to hang on for them. I remember when this song came out. “Grandpa” by the Judd’s is another tear jerker.
“Grandpa” is a GREAT one! My Daddy and Grandpa use to take us all dancing growing up in Texas. “Grandpa” and “Daddy’s Hands” were the songs I shared with them. I miss the good ‘ol days
My dad used to sing this song to me when I was little, he passed in October and I’m heartbroken, but that is what I put on his gravestone “Love Without End, Amen” ❤
This is such a sweet song. All the good daddy songs are tear jerkers! That's My Job by Conway Twitty would be a great song for Father's Day. Happy Father's Day J and Rob Squad Dad's out there! 💙
This song gets me every single time 😭 We played this song at Dad's funeral. It's been 16 years but I still miss you Dad ❤🙏 Being so touched by this song is a loving tribute to the relationship with our dads - those still here and those who have passed on. Happy Father's Day, all
Yup this is another great Father’s Day suggestion. I swear I have suggested this one before. I really can’t remember. They NEED to get to this one. Especially today would be perfect.
That's my job reminds me of my dad. He was a US Marine, Airline Pilot and Police Officer. Although some would consider some of his work heroic, to him he was just doing his job. But he'll always be my hero. And I will always write little bits of poetry.
Jay - as a man who had to wait until later in life to experience the joy of fatherhood, I’m telling you to never be ashamed when your love for your kids makes you emotional. My soon to be 17 year old son has seen me cry many times and he knows that most of those times have been because of my love for him and my pride for all he has accomplished.
This is my song for my daddy, who chose to be my daddy when I was 7-1/2 years old. Today is my fourth Father’s Day without him. Happy Father’s Day Jay!!!
I just want to say..... You guys always end with make someone smile! I hope you realize how many smiles you create every day with your videos! You are a beautiful couple and a beautiful family. I say that not meaning looks, I mean that about your inner beauty! It seems weird to say it about or to someone you never even met, but I, (and I'm sure) We Love You Guys more than you know! Thank you.
Oh my goodness, this song makes me cry every time. I spent today with Dad, church first then I took him to lunch. He’s always been my hero, but since we lost Mom 2/13/2021…he’s my world. 🧡 Thank you for this reaction. 😭
Please review allot more Holly Dunn songs. And while your at it, my beloved Lari White and Kelly Willis too! Lari should have been as big as Shania Twain and I still believe that she could have been. And Kelly Willis was literally the would be Taylor Swift of the 90's. So beautiful and so talented the both of them.
I’m so excited for this reaction. Perfect song for Father’s Day. Amber, I know you miss your Dad. i miss mine, too. I’m thankful we had wonderful Dad’s to miss… and Jay, I have loved watching the little glimpses we get to see of you with your kids. We can tell how much you love them. I love the line about holding her Momma tight. Continue to model that for your kids. Happy Father’s Day.
Unfortunately we lost this beautiful voice a few years back. But no matter how bad the country establishment treated her she always acted with class. Miss you kid!
The late Holly Dunn. I saw her in a concert in a high school in Texas. Her father was a gospel preacher for like 50 years. I had his book in my library “Know the Bible”. This was her biggest hit.
I write songs. So I know a thing or two about that. I say it often. " A great song is one that is written with the best of intentions". When a song is written to someone, or about someone, the audience will feel the emotion that the writer had for that person. An emotional connection that proves we are all brothers and sisters. Next time you see your dad, give him hug. Tough love can be the hardest to appreciate. But it's one of the purest forms of love.
My daddy's hands were always dirty with embedded grease from working on cars, trucks, and buses. Chunks of skin were gouged in places and his nails were chipped. He lived with me for three years before he died at 80. I marveled at how clean and unblemished they became. But they were still the strong, loving hands. Thank you for helping me remember this today!
This was a song sung at my grandpa's funeral and makes me cry overtime. My aunt, his daughter managed to make it all the way through with a group she was with at the time.
Lost Dad in 2010 at age 95. His hands were gnarled too. His last words to me were "A Dios". Not "adios", but " A Dios". 4 hours later, he headed up the Lord. Miss his warmth and simple plain-spoken wisdom every day. You are 2 sweet-hearted young folks. Thank you.
This song was always one of my favorites. I lost my dad almost 4 years ago, and I still think of him every day. I feel so blessed that when my folks found out they couldn't have children, they chose to adopt. I was, am, and will always be daddy's girl. I believe we will be together again one day. 💜

The less said about my father, the better. Seeing the love you both have for yours is beautiful. Wonderful reaction! Happy Father's Day to all the great dads out there...
I patterned myself to not be like theman who abandoned my mother with 4 young children. I always been a loving ad and caring father to my, now, grown girls. They are still my world
My uncle (whom was a pastor) got killed in a small plane crash along with 7 or 8 or so other people and one of his daughters sang this at the funeral. She sang it just as beautiful as Holly Dunn does here. I remember how much I loved hearing her singing this song. She can SING like a songbird. This song really makes me think of that moment every time I hear it now.
Jay touched on it breifly. That special thing between Fathers and Daughters. I think it's because We raise our Sons to take care of their selfs. Our Daughters are always Our little girls and will be defended fiercely all Our lives.
Happy Father's day Jay! I hope you have a day full of love and smiles! For a Daddy song that I think you'd absolutely relate and love, I'm suggesting "I loved her first" by; Heartland. Just keep the tissues nearby! ❤
I'm right with you on that one. I was the youngest of 10, and daddy's little girl. He worked hard until he was 80. Also played this song at his funeral 😥
I've never heard this song, but yes, it is emotional. I have one child, my grown daughter, and I love her and her family, and I'd do anything for her, because she is the most important person in my life. My daughter knows that I am here for her, for whatever she needs, and I am fortunate that she only, rarely asks me for things that are near and dear to her heart. If she needed a heart transplant, and I was a perfect match, I'd give her my heart, because if she wasn't here, then I'd have no reason to go on living. Giving her my heart would mean to me that she would continue to live her life, and that's all that I want for her. I am an old man, and if, by giving her my heart, meant that she could continue living her life, then that to me, is all that I want for her. She is a beautiful and amazing woman, and I am very proud of her. I can only hope that I had some influence on her, as to why she is an amazing woman.
Country songs are emotions set to music. My daddy died in 1999 - 6 weeks after my mum - and I miss them still. There is something about fathers and daughters; and her dad is the first man she loves. Happy Father's Day Jay xxx
Someone in the comments said Holly died in 2016 from cancer. I didn't know that so it made the song more emotional. This was her biggest hit. She was a great country singer.
Really wasn't Holly's biggest song in terms of Chart position, but it is about the only one that is still being yet played today. You Really Had Me Going", "Love Someone Like Me", "There Goes My Heart Again" "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me", "Strangers Again", all got higher on the charts. Another of my favorites was "It's Always Gonna Be Some Day". She had so many amazing songs that were never released as singles as well, but should have been. Never got the recognition she deserved, or the big push by radio.
This song and "Butterfy Kisses" by Bob Carlisle, always bring on the waterworks!....I miss my Dad so much! Jordan, I hope you had a wonderful Fathers Day with your precious littles!
This song should come with a "tissues needed warning." This reminds me of my dad when I was growing up. Other good Father's day songs are "Butterfly Kisses" - Bob Carlisle, "Dance With My Daughter "- Jason Blaine and The Shires - "Daddy's Little Girl".
Thanks for making Jordan tear up, Amber. We already all know that he's a softy, but it's rare that you get him to let that side of himself out into public view. Bravo, girl.
I first heard this song when my sister used it as the father-daughter dance at her wedding. My dad was a truck driver and a lot of his friends/co-workers were at the wedding, there was not a dry eye in the house when they played that song. My dad passed away less than 2 years later. I still cry when I hear it because this song reminds me of my hard-working dad with calloused hands who would do anything for his family. Great reaction! Happy Father's Day Jay and all the amazing fathers out there. God bless!
My daddy was a coal miner. I was a daddy's girl. My daddy taught me my numbers, my abc's, how to play solitaire, how to ride my bike...He was my hero. If you like the theme of this song, check out "The Dollar",
RIP Holly, I was lucky enough to see here perform in concert at least a dozen times and meet her several times after the concerts she was such a talented singer and a true sweetheart. And not afraid to admit had a huge crush on her.
My Daddy passed in March. He was 90. That is considered a good run, but it still hurts. A fond memory of my Dad is how he taught me to swim in the sea and guarded me like a treasure till I could swim like a fish. There has never been anyone as patient as my Dad. And when I would come out of the sea, freezing cold, he would rub me down with a stiff towel and his hands were big and rough from working in a factory, and the salt from the sea and the towel was rough as well and I swear I shed a layer of skin every time I went swimming with him. I was always warm and safe and loved when I was with him. Miss him so much.
I just want to say thank you guys for doing this one. This song is extremely special to me. When I was growing up, my Dad would get us all around the table a couple times a week and we would all sit for hours singing different songs while he played the guitar. Some songs he wrote, some he learned from the radio. This was one of the songs we would always sing. Growing up I really didn’t fully understand the significance of this song until September 3, 1991, when my Dad went to work and never made it back home. The factory he worked at caught fire, the fire exits were padlocked to stop theft (that’s the excuse they gave) and he was one of 25 people who gave their lives trying to make a living for their families. Since that day this song among others really hits harder than they ever did before. Jay, my tears came right along with yours when you guys were listening. Tears of sadness, pride, happiness, all mixed together. I will never stop listening to it though. I loved that man so much and look forward to seeing him again in heaven when my life comes to its final day. Thanks again for the realness and heartfelt reaction.
I and my 4 brothers and sisters swear this song was written just for our dad! 🙂 When he passed away in 2018, we insisted that this song be played at his funeral. I cry every single time I hear it. Im forever Dady's girl.
You guys made me cry watching this reaction. Maddy is 70 years old and I am so grateful to still have him on this Earth. He is my world! Such a great man he is! You guys have such sweet souls. Jay, your children are blessed to have you! Much love ✌❤
This song was super popular the year I lost my dad in an accident at his job. It was 1987 and I was 13 years old. It played constantly and got me everytime and still does. This song fit him so perfectly. I miss him every day. 💔
I haven’t even started the video but I feel like crying already. This song always reminds me of my grandpa. After all the stories my mom told about him and seeing how he treated us grandkids, I know he was a wonderful man. One of my favorite songs, too. What a great choice. Thank you.
I lost my Daddy in 2013 to stage 4 brain cancer. He was my world, and i miss him everyday. He was the best Daddy in the world. He worked everyday as a welder. When i was 10 he had pneumonia he tried to work through it but ended up in an oxygen tent for 2 weeks we almost lost him then but he made it through. He provided for us no matter how many jobs he had to work i was Daddy's girl and always will be. but when i did wrong he let me know. He was very strong until he lost his sister in 1994 to breast cancer he was never the same after that, he changed he was sad and angry because he thought it was a punishment for something he had done, i tried to tell him he did all he could for her and that's all anyone can ask. Then he was dealt another crushing blow we lost my Mom in march 2000 to kidney problems, and his Mom in the same year 7 months later on his birthday. I will be with him soon i have the same cancer that took his Sister, funny how life works. but anyway awesome reaction love to you both from Memphis Tn.
Amber and J let the tears fly baby this is a wonderful song so emotional I luckily still have my dad. Can I see my son with his three girls yeah my tears flow and you can bet I'm not the only one I bet just about everyone that's listening to this had tears. No shame in your game do your thing
I have always loved this song 🥰. There’s a song by Ricky Skaggs called “Thanks Again” that is a sweet, beautiful song thanking both parents that I really think you would love. Peeps please like this so they can hear this song 🎶 Ya’ll will be floored….
Amber ...I don't know if you believe in orbs. But toward the end of the song when it was her singing and the hard beat of the drums you had orbs fly by you. I believe your daddy is with you 💜❤️
I had to go back and look for them. Are you referring to the light zipping in front of them? It streaked across between them from one side, then the other? Let me know! I've seen orbs in person. 🕯️😇
My wife just lost her dad on May 30 . Today was the first time she could not call him to say happy Father’s Day. He also was the Pastor that married us. We love and miss him so much.
this song was played at my husband`s grandfather`s furneral- the man who when he was a child - told him -" you can`t whip me , only my mom," well mom was in the hospital- and being her father- my husband found out that he could -[ a country man from Louisana] when grandpa passed -my husband held his hand til he was gone-then cried his heart out-Happy Dad day !!!! give each other a smile- and a kiss
I’m a 62 year old father of two girls, 24 and 22, I’m trying to hang on for them. I remember when this song came out. “Grandpa” by the Judd’s is another tear jerker.
Yes Grandpa is so good!!!!
“Grandpa” is a GREAT one! My Daddy and Grandpa use to take us all dancing growing up in Texas. “Grandpa” and “Daddy’s Hands” were the songs I shared with them. I miss the good ‘ol days
You guys should do "Love Without End, Amen" by George Strait, its another great Fathers Day song and my daughters favorite country song.
They need to jump down the George Strait rabbit hole. He's been so good for so long!
ABSOLUTELY
Is that a different song from Forever and Ever Amen?
@@mikeguerrero72 yes, forever and ever, amen is sung by Randy Travis
My dad used to sing this song to me when I was little, he passed in October and I’m heartbroken, but that is what I put on his gravestone “Love Without End, Amen” ❤
A good one about grandfathers is “He Walked on Water” by Randy Travis.
It's about a great-grandfather.
He didn't have to be by Brad Paisley is awesome for the step dads out there.Happy fathers day to all the good dads out there.
Love that song. Another tear jerker.
This is such a sweet song. All the good daddy songs are tear jerkers! That's My Job by Conway Twitty would be a great song for Father's Day. Happy Father's Day J and Rob Squad Dad's out there! 💙
Yes I love that song and Conway Twitty sings it just sings it
"That's my Job" and "The Leader of the Band"
Coming back to listen to that song a few years after not hearing it in decades, I just fell apart.
@@fnjesusfreak I feel you! It's my go to song when I'm thinking about my dad and grandpa. It's hard not to break down...it's a powerful song.
Omg, that song always makes me cry.
Should do Kathy Mattea's Where've You Been ,her husband penned this song about his Grandparents.
Story and Dad song is "Miracle Man" by the Smokin Armadillos. "I'm a cowboy" and "Red Rock" were really good too!
Don't forget us great grandpas
The Leader of the Band By Dan Fogelberg
It's okay to cry, Jay. I was crying while watching this video; the words, the emotion on your faces and missing my Daddy for 4 years. ❤
This song gets me every single time 😭 We played this song at Dad's funeral. It's been 16 years but I still miss you Dad ❤🙏
Being so touched by this song is a loving tribute to the relationship with our dads - those still here and those who have passed on. Happy Father's Day, all
I was too,I just lost my daddy this past August.
R.I. P. Holly. You were true greatness!
Such a good song
Y’all should do “That’s my job” by Conway Twitty for Father’s Day as well
Happy Father’s Day J!!!! ❤️
Yup this is another great Father’s Day suggestion. I swear I have suggested this one before. I really can’t remember. They NEED to get to this one. Especially today would be perfect.
Yes! Absolutely! Conway's song always brings me tears. Alan Jackson's song "Drive" is also a great one., ♥
That's my job reminds me of my dad. He was a US Marine, Airline Pilot and Police Officer. Although some would consider some of his work heroic, to him he was just doing his job. But he'll always be my hero. And I will always write little bits of poetry.
You guys would really like "Tough Little Boys" by Gary Allan. It's right up your alley and would make a great reaction, I think.

I was crying too. I love my father very much and being the father of 4 girls and 7 grandchildren this song touched my heart. Love Ya.

Great Father's Day song. As with most country songs, it tells a story that you can see in your mind.
Another one along this line is Dan Fogelberg's "Leader of the Band". Such a lovely tribute to his dad. Cat Steven's "Father and Son".
Happy Fathers Day J! Hope your day is wonderful! That song always chokes me up too!
Happy Father’s Day! I forgot about this song. I lost my father almost 5 years ago so I was a mess through this but what a wonderful song.
Sorry for your loss

Happy Father's day Rob! 💙
My cousin sang this song at my grandpa's funeral. I always cry when I hear it. 😢
Happy Father’s Day, Jay!! I’m crying right along with you, Amber.
Conway Twitty's "That's my job" is perfect for Father's Day
We played this at my father's funeral in 1989. I cry every time I hear it
I just want to say thank you guys for doing this one.
OMG, That's so awful! All he was trying to do was to do was his job; to take care of all ya'll. My heart breaks for you.
I and my 4 brothers and sisters swear this song was written just for our dad! 🙂 When he passed away in 2018, we insisted that this song be played at his funeral. I cry every single time I hear it. Im forever Dady's girl.
Beautiful song. LOVED that you two beautiful, wonderful people got all teary over it!
Holly passed on from this world several years ago, but her string of hits live on.
I lost my beloved dad 42 years ago and this song fit him also. Miss him everyday...
Happy Father's day Jay! You have a beautiful family and the love they have for you warms all of our hearts.
Amber and J let the tears fly baby this is a wonderful song so emotional I luckily still have my dad. Can I see my son with his three girls yeah my tears flow and you can bet I'm not the only one I bet just about everyone that's listening to this had tears. No shame in your game do your thing
I loved Holly Dunn she was a great artist.
I lost. My Dad in February and we had this song played at his funeral. Always love in his hands
You two are so adorable, never, ever be afraid to cry. It shows you are caring, compassionate, loving parents.
🕯️😇
A flying bug is what I looked like. Orbs would be better.
There three of them.
My wife danced to this song with her father during her fifteenth birthday dance.
We played this at my dad’s memorial service. It always gets to me.
My wife just lost her dad on May 30 . Today was the first time she could not call him to say happy Father’s Day. He also was the Pastor that married us. We love and miss him so much.
A shame we lost such a talented artist. You need to check out this album on stream or find it somewhere EVERY song on it is AWESOME
Holly Dunn was a very good country singer/songwriter. She passed away in 2016 (Nov 14th) from Ovarion Cancer. Also sang gospel music...
