      @@apple_cider1207 Sorry, Apple, but there's no such thing as luck, this guy needs to grow some balls, go out and grab the world by the horns.
      I started at the bottom of the food chain. HD diploma, no money and a family that could barely support themselves. I kicked around a couple of years and joined the Army to learn a skill. 7 years later got out as a Warrant Officer flying helicopters with a good skill, no debt, GI Bill for college (never used it), and used that skill to work around the world for 38 years retiring in Europe. I reached a mgmt level where others had MBAs and higher. Did it by coming into work earlier than most, studying the industry at home in the evenings, volunteering to serve on industry committees and boards of directors of industry assns. Not by whining on youTube how tough the world is.
      Granted it'll be a bit harder at 60 than it would have been at 20 or 25 but people do it everyday. Last summer I helped a long time friend put together a business that will support her and her child from now on. It'll take a bit of work on her part but by mid year she should be making between $2K-$3K/mo and could easily double that by this time next year. People rise above their raisin' every day.

      All people should save there money. When they do have a job. No credit cards . People are living paycheck to paycheck. But have to save too. Any amount. It's not what you make.its,what did you save. Live below your means. Use coupons, save, save, save. If you are poor don't have children right away. Going to college get yourself a skill. Get Married then have children. Then you and your children have a brighter future and a husband that loves you. Not a boyfriend who can leave with 10 kids and walk. You have nothing then. Men need to be held a countable. Women are not doing that. They are setting themselves up for a fall. Dave Ramsey is on person you should check out on your finances and life.

      They're both Associate Degrees. I got one of those taking CLEP and a few end of course tests for free while in the Army. No classes or school work. Just study a guide for a few days and go in to take the test. Don't even put it on my resume as it was just to get a military requirement filled.
      And from the looks of it doesn't appear he's done anything since to enhance his desirability to employers.

    0:22 sounded like the job that I was training for and lost in 2003, the small magazine company folded right on the last day of my training as an administrative assistant! Oh... My... Goodness! Those ladies were crying and falling all over each other and I'm sitting there like what just happened Oh, you mean this is not a prank the magazine is shutting its doors today?? These women were boohoo and and crying so hard I just got my purse and said I was so sorry for everybody, and left immediately at 12 p.m. one of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had! Just like this man said it was like the light switch flipped and everything went straight off the cliff. 😵 when I called my husband at work and told him the job went kaput he did not believe me right away, only thing he said was DA##!!!!!! 😣

It's a kick in the guts to be laid off and considered washed up at 45 or 50 years of age, with kids to send to college and bills to pay.

    We seem to be living in a time where the unemployed cry there are no more good jobs and at the same time the employers cry they can't find good people for the job openings they have. How on Earth is it possible to have both of those problems at the same time. I got my last job and one of my best jobs at age 58. I got let go from a job when I was in my 40s and I was told by the unemployment office that I would not be required to look for work to qualify for my unemployment benefits because I was at an age where I was not likely to find work. One week later I was employed. You can't just sit around and wait for a job to come to you. You have to go looking for it. If you are unemployed you take the first job you can find. It's easier for you to get one of the "good jobs" if you already have a job.

    • @coreyanderson7424
      @coreyanderson7424 Рік тому

      I think it's because employers are too demanding. Like, they don't just want good workers. They, well, where I live at least, want you to speak fluent Spanish and have a bachelor degree to be a receptionist. Not really kidding, either. I don't know why they do this although I think it may have something to do with wage increases. So the employers are demanding more to keep an employee. Getting a job is easier than keeping one.
