This dude has taught me more valuable information than anybody on the internet. Yeah, he sells juicers...BUT...nobody else on you tube is more valuable than Mr. Kohler. Loves what he does, and that's clear on all of his programming!

I appreciate this video a lot. I felt bad for beating up on you about that recent video on the hopper knock-offs, but if I saw one more thing about the J2, I was gonna snap. A lot of us who juice genuinely cannot afford a $500+ juicer, and it can be alienating to have that rubbed in our faces so much. Your doing more on the lower-budget juicers is important to keep everyone included. Thank you.

Xtra points for being so forthcoming about what you like, what you don't, what you're not-so-happily surprised with & definitely what you ARE happily surprised with. As "a young" 74, 100% vegan, I still want to make it easier to get all the vegies I can every day without so much chopping & chewing, & also more variety than my almost daily broccoli, cauliflower & carrots. Been lusting for the Nama but this juicer makes so much more sense for me - living alone & the tiniest kitchen ever with counter space at a premium. Is this so far a good cheap alternative to the Nama J2?
@@aquariusbaby214 I would say it is a mini-me of the Nama J2 without sorbet or smoothie feature. It is way smaller than the Nama J2 and I have to say the quality seems the same as the Nama J2. It is not cheap feeling at all. I have used it now several times in getting use to the smaller size, capacity and endurance compared to the Nama J2. At first it reminded me of a Toy when opening it vs the Nama J2, but after using it now and in juicing beets/greens/roots, celery, ginger root, bok choy, parsley, romaine, apples, jicama, carrots, lemons, limes, oranges.... I tell you so far I am impressed with this machine. The capacity is impressive as well in filling up the hopper as I can fill it with 1 beet, roots/greens, 1 apple, 1 carrot, 1 ginger,1 lemon, a few bok choy leaves/stems in which I was surprised. It is quieter than the Nama J2 and I find the clean up is so much more easeful due to the smaller size that I am liking alot more. It fits on my countertop under my cabinets and does not take up space at all unlike the Nama J2. I do alot of food preservation, canning, dehydrating, etc., in which I thought I needed the bigger Nama J2 due to my bulk methods, but when it comes to juicing I realized this this not the case. I realized that having the larger Nama J2 , I was going overboard on buying produce, etc., just to compensate for the big hopper and batch juicing and I spent all day juicing & cleaning up which is alot of work, let alone the price point of that machine was not sitting well with me. Then I saw this presentation of the Shine and I had to try it and I am finding that it suits my needs better at this time for just my husband and myself in juicing daily. I can juice a quart size jar every day from my small garden and this is enough for the two of us for the day plus what a bonus be completely cleaned up and done in 20 mins. If I had an orchard or farm like John, I would definitely need the Nama J2, but I don't and I do not need to bulk batch juice to the levels that John does. He did a great presentation on this Shine juicer, it is a travel size juicer for John but not for my household, it is perfect size for our need and has a 3yr warranty to boot, good enough time to get some good use out of it for that price point for sure. It arrived fast in one box & nicely packaged, this machine cannot run as long as the Nama J2 but this is ok for our needs; IMO, Shine and Kuvings are a copycat of the Nama J2 and Shine is made in China vs Korea. Hi John, please compare the Shine Multi-Batch vs. the Shine XL Easy Clean juicer🙏
After watching a dozen of John's videos, I got one of these. Used it today for the first time and it broke within about 10 minutes. Appears to have torqued itself out of its housing and the motor won't run and wires are exposed. I think because of that misalignment, I can't disassemble the top components either. I'm now evaluating Tribest's service far earlier than I hoped, and back to square one on picking a juicer.
Update: I did get a refund from Tribest, although the process took 7 weeks. In the interim upgraded to Nama J2 and love it.
I definitely can not afford the C2 which I really want to have it, but I’m saving up for it. At the same time I absolutely appreciate John to explain clearly about every machine, if I want the best obviously I have to pay the price for it, I never get frustrated for hearing about how AWSOME Nama machines are, just because I don’t have the money it doesn’t mean I should get frustrated about the reality. I have a $100 juicer from Amazon at this moment because I couldn’t afford anything else. Hopefully though I will buy the C2 in future. Thanks John 🎉

I would not recommend buying a low cost vertical juicer for juicing wheatgrass. An Inexpensive horizontal juicer would be best. That being said, if you want to occasionally juice wheatgrass this machine will technically juice it, but you must follow my specific techniques I show in the video ua-cam.com/video/qMuf0fjWXDk/v-deo.html where I share the specifics.
What would you substitute for Jicama? It's not something that is readily available to me. Would celery root be similar?

John, what juice would you recommend for healing the stomach (too much acid), I heard raw potato juice.
I would check with a doctor. I know people who juice greens every morning has increased stomach acid, which is a more common situation.

YES. I am confident at some point they will have some kind of kit to do this. I am not sure when. It may be a while.

Which one is better J2 or 868 Batch Juicer? If you juice celery sticks for example
I personally would not describe the Sana 868 as a "batch" juicer, but that is just me. It does not have a hopper that you load up to do "batches". That being said the Sana 868 is made by Kuvings for Sana USA. It is basically the EVO820 model with a new motor shape and minor improvements. Wanted to but the Nama J2 or the Auto 10 but $500+ dollars? Since when has these extractors gone sky high? I when to look at the PURE brand holtly cow 2500$ 😅 this is helpful.
I strive to show people juicers of all price ranges since not everyone needs a "higher-end" juicer. That being said, Machines like the Nama J2 and Kuvings have a much longer 15-year warranty, and are made in South Korea, and offer more convenience, and will juice faster than this machine, and allow you to make more juice in one sitting.
Does the top come off? I mean if I want to detach it for cleaning like in Nama j2?
Yes. IMO it is even EASIER to clean than the Nama J2 Hopper, unlike the J2, the Shine Batch juicer has an integrated screen and processing blade and separate hopper housing which is easier to clean.

depends on how you define "better". Between this and the J2, I would rather own the J2, because it has a 5x longer warranty, and is better designed, IMO. The J2 also juices about 2x as fast as the shine, due to the larger parts. In an upcoming episode I will compare the shine Batch Juicer to the Nama J2 so you can learn the full set of pros and sons.

I currently own both machines and between the two, I prefer the Multi-Batch Juicer. Why? it costs $30 less. Same warranty. Makes a higher yield, and has the hopper, that you can fill up and walk away.
