    I couldn't stop myself to make comments;
    This DIY type Soldiering Iron will not last longer and it will burn itself as the three reasons:
    1. The "Heating Element" Which Consist of NICHROM Wire is wrapped around a "Wire Insulating Fibre made sleeve " ; which will eventually burn as soon as the current flow s through the NICHROM Coils , As it is seen in the video ; the Somke is Coming Out as soon as the coil heated.
    2. The copper wire used as "BIT " of the Soldiering Iron is not as good as commercially available Soldiering BITs in the market....So Using this DIY Iron would produce trouble in time of soldering some Hard Junction where more montlen Soldier is required.
    3. The "Connecting Wire" , which is used in this Iron is not capable of handling the current above one Amper because it is a ordinary "USB Cable " ...it will also burn slowly and the rest ,
    all efforts to make theis DIY Soldiering Iron will go in vain...

    • @bossoy0769
      @bossoy0769 Місяць тому

      The Fibre Glass will Not burn so easily as its designed to be Fire resistent and yes the smoke is. Coming out of the coil what Else should Happen? This is normal as its heating up just Like market soldering irons its completely normal.
      To the second one do you Even know that Most of These market soldering Bits Are Cooper as well? Its just coated, as bare Cooper Wire wont Last Long.
      Lets come to your last comment the ordiniary usb cable wires Are thin yes it would melt but he used fibre Heat insulation.
      All of this Information can be find by a quick google search.

    • @MrRusty-fm4gb
      @MrRusty-fm4gb 2 роки тому

      Hair dryers, space heaters, push button cigarette lighter torches, toasters, and anything thag produces heat usually has nichrome not kenthal wire. I have many gauges and styles(straight, coiled, spring coils) all harvested from broken home appliances I fished out of dumpsters. I get the braded nylon heat resistant white sleeves from inside broken coffee makers, hot plates, and any appliance where regular insulated copper wire needs to be protected from heat…. All for free. Usb cords I have plenty too from finding in dumpsters and on the street.

  • @chibi.k.o.3968

    USB voltage is only 5V, this guy used too much nichrome wire (assuming his USB is about 20V), for 5V requires only 4 circles of wire, if more - it won't be heating up unless there is higher voltage. And it can damage your charger or power bank, since u basically connecting + to -, so don't even think about using your PC or phone as power source! My advice - buy cheap low power consumption soldering iron.

      How?

    • @mythicalboy3600
      @mythicalboy3600 4 роки тому

      Well..you need to now the resistance of the nichrome which needs to be 2.5 ohms for 2 Amp power supply otherwise lower resistance means higher current draw and can lead to the explosion of your adapter.
      So always check the nichrome wire first with multimeter to have the exact value of the resistance(2.5 ohms)
