    Depends on how desperate your situation is. Selling on the low end isn't sustainable in the long run.

    With all of the math and eBay making things even more difficult a lot of resellers don't even know they are not making diddly squat. It makes it literally impossible to run your business like a McDonald's franchise. Keeping your store "simple" just does not work well on Ebay. I'd like for Ebay to get rid of a lot of the so-called extra perks that bog down the site.

    8:49 unfortunately this is a common misconception of the definition of “profit”. It’s not $20-$50 profit if it takes you 4-8 hours to fix, list, and sell/ship. =\

    I have a question for any reseller. How would you price a item with shipping? For example you have a item worth ten dollars do you price it at ten plus shipping or do you price it lower to make the price closer to the ten with shipping?

    • @dudethrift528

      @@adammac3649 with eBay standard envelope I recommend pricing it lower plus shipping. Maximum costs are .57 cents. I usually charge .75. So for $10 I would do 8.99 plus .75.

    Anytime i list a new item I start high and then start lowering it every 12 hours to 24 hrs depending on supply within that item. I always check sold/completed listings to justify that price. Is that ok or not? Should I just price the item in between the high and low? To sell it faster?

    • @brush412
      @brush412 Рік тому +3

      I'm not sure what you sell. I've been selling for a year now and niched down to clothing within in a month or two of selling. I have a 30% sell through rate and I price at or just below market value. Every item that I sell yields me a minimum of $8 profit to as high as $70 and $80. You can do it the way that you are, but imo I think its a lot of work what you are doing. Instead of just setting it at market value and asking best offer as well.

    How do you prepare for the postal increases?

  • @KpopGuardian
    @KpopGuardian Рік тому +2

    Hi everyone. I am new to selling on ebay and so i was wondering why i shouldn't post holiday themed stuff outside of it holiday season? IE. I have halloween mask etc, and alot of people are telling me not to put it up until next halloween. Is it because i will end up paying more in fees because it sat around, maybe it will get slowly hidden because it sat to long. I think it would be fine to post them up now and when next year comes around they can move then, or sooner.

    • @sidehustlevikki1066
      @sidehustlevikki1066 Рік тому +2

      Don’t listen to them! List your items when you get them. I only shop at the outlets so I can’t shop seasonally. I have to buy it when it’s available. I have no problem selling Halloween and Christmas items that were listed 11 months ago because I found it the month after that holiday. Just post it and let it be. I don’t even renew or relist those items and they seem to show up in searches.
