Now there is more nutrition information - that fiber is some of the most important feature in a diet. Probiotics live on the fiber and highly processed (c**p) food have very little fiber - and one of the major reasons why so many health diseases happen in western society. Apples, fruits, and vegs are high in fiber. So either fresh-squeezed (or eating) apples with fiber or fresh cider with all of the pulp and skin (just like orange juice - and - the bioflavonoids rind). Apples have natural fructose (not the highly processed high fructose sugar from corn or cane sugar) - and is a low glycemic as well - that satisfies hunger pangs.
I still believe that there is something else in apples (like low Vit C) that is a hidden (and ancient) health ingredient against molds, mildews, fungi, bacteria, and germs in the body. Many healthy enzymes in fresh (not pastuerized, filtered, and dead) apple juice.
