I hope i can help you. I am not sure if I understand your question. I dont use any kind of projection screen with the projector, it's just my white wall.
But if you want to know how big the picture was in my review, its about:
Diagonal 177,8cm / 70 inch
Width 155cm / 61 inch
Height 87,2cm / 34,4 inch
So by far not the biggest picture possible that this projector can do.
The fan seems to be terribly noisy. How far did you record? From two or three meters is the noise more tolerable?
That was from two meters. The fan is really noisy, but i would say you get used to it. If you are able to sit further back its going to be quite a lot better, that was not an option for me in that old living room. Luckily the speakers do a very good job covering the noise.
Have you tried to connect your laptop using a hdmi cable? Mine not showing anything when connecting using hdmi
Thats strange. Surly the laptop works with any different monitor? Have you tried all the different HDMI ports? Do you have a different device to test it with?

how does the noise compare to other projectors? is it the same or louder?
I would say its a little bit louder. But maybe its actually quieter for you, if you sit further away then to a traditional projector which would be mounted over / right behind your couch. Really depends on your distance

Can you make the screen bigger by taking it further back... i was hoping to get a 220" image. Would it still be too faded in a perfectly dark room. Can you test and let me know please?
I do not even have the space for that, sorry. But I really wouldnt recommend it. Xiaomi lists the maximal size at 150", and even at that size the image is becoming way more dimmer than at around 100 inches

Thanks for your comment! The projector only can output a resolution of 1080p, but can handle 4k and HDR signals just fine. If you want a native 4k output then you have to take a look at its successor: Xiaomi mijia 4k laser projector. But it seems to be quite hard to find this model. But please keep your distance to the screen in mind. At a certain distance you are probably not going to see the difference between 4k and 1080p.
Hallo! Kann man den Projektor auch irgendwie wireless mit dem Laptop verbinden? (Wifi, Apple TV..) Mir als Laie scheint die Installation von Neflix seeehr kompliziert und ausserdem streame ich manchmal auch normales TV auf meinem Laptop (via Wilmaa oder Zattoo), das würde ich auch auf mit diesen Beamer übertragen können...
Also der Projektor hat eine Chromecast Funktionalität integriert, also mit einem Gerät dass das ebenfalls unterstützt kannst du wireless Apps auf den Projektor abspielen. In meiner Erfahrung funktioniert das jedoch nicht immer perfekt und gibt dir dennoch Einschränkungen. Apple Airplay unterstützt er nicht.
Das wirklich einfachste ist wenn du so etwas wie einen FireTV-Stick anschließt, dann hast du alle Apps wie Zattoo, Netflix und usw. direkt auf einem Gerät, ohne das ein Kabel vom Projektor weggeht.
netflix und disney+ zb. sind inzwschen integriert. amazon prime nicht

No, i dont have the PF1000UW or have ever seen it in real life. The contrast and the brightness is clearly going to be significant better on the Xiaomi (based on reviews / technical specs). I dont think you are going to find good videos that compare them two though :(

What kind of games do you play? Fast paced games? Just keep in mind that both devices have quite a lot of input lag.

I usually game on my pc and play fps like ETF and other games like Football Manager Dayz civilization
Mostly I'll be using the projector to watch movies and football matches

Yes you can. Tested it with the fire tv stick 4k. The Netflix situation is still the same and probably will never change.

Hallo Sigi! Das ist wohl das gefürchtete Spulenfiepen. Ein paar Modelle leider anscheinend dran, meiner hatte es nicht. Soweit ich weiß kann man dagegen nicht viel machen. Ich google nachher nochmal und sende dir gegebenfalls Links dazu. Falls es dich sehr stört, und du noch ein Rückgaberecht hast, kannst du notfalls auch davon Gebrauch machen. LG Tobi

I find it is hard to adjust focus with the default projected patterns. Is there a way to focus using texts? Also no matter what brightness I set it to, I don’t see any visual changes.
Yeah it can be quite hard. I would say its way easier if you come really close to the wall / projection screen.
That brightness problem sound weird. Try changing the picture mode as well as the brightness and check out if changing the brightness in a different picture mode works.
Bonjour, merci pour cette démo et ces explication, le temps d'allumage est vraiment long, le bruit est important, actuellement en recherche d'un projecteur UST j'ai vu que le nouveau Xiaomi 4 K 1S serait moins bruyant et plus performant, je ne sais pas s'il a aussi un temps de démarrage important comme le modèle que vous testez. Avez vous des infos sur le nouveau modèle ?
It seems like that the new model is almost identical with the old model. The main difference is, that the new model supports 4k pixel shift and is also quieter. I didnt find anything about the boot time though, but i would imagine that its pretty much identical. If you do have the money for the Optoma Cinema X2 then i would definitely recommend you to buy that one. The operating system is way more sophisticated. Also, if you ever have any warranty issues, or need to repair the device then im pretty sure that Optoma is going to handle that situation better than Xiaomi. A lot of users already complained that Xiaomi didnt help them in anyway when their projector began having problems.

Effectivement, Optoma est bien implanté en France, c'est appréciable en cas de problèmes.
How many hours a day can i watch it for so i can calculate days
The projector is rated for 25 000 hours. So for exmaple, if you would watch 8h every day the lamp should last 8,5 years.

@@therideshareentertainer8636 Too be honest, I am not sure. Xiamoi is not selling spare parts / lamps in their online shop directly as far as i know. So you probably need to ask the Xiaomi support for a define answer. The thing is, the lamp life is theoretically so long that you probably have to worry about other parts breaking first, or that you want to upgrade your device anyway. I like that you are asking, people dont seem to care about longevity that much anymore :/

it was 1.700 € 4 months ago?... You can get one for 1080 € by now... and even the newly released 4k projectors are already as low as 1.530 € (14.01.2020)... I call this a pretty strong deprecation. I was hooked to get one asap.. But I think I'll wait a bit more till the prices have settled.
It depends how you define the price. If you order it in china you sure can get the projector for around 1000€. A lot of people are not a big fan of ordering something directly from China though (warranty, long shipping time, tax problems, customs problems). I just checked a price search engine for Germany and Austria: The best price is 1450€ for the non 4k Version.
But still you are right: the price of that thing changed quite a lot already.
Hi.. i have this unit as well for more than 1 years. It is a wonderfull product. However for no reason the remote is broken. Anyone know how to find replacement remote control? Anyone has the same problem? I search everywhere, but no one sell the replacement remote. Any idea how to connect with universal remote control?
I only know that you can use other remotes if you program them first (but for that you would need a working remote)

I'm sorry to ask some idiot questions. There is an information pollution in the review videos made for this product on the Internet. I think this is due to the different versions of the product. For example, is your product the global version? Is the language of the device only in English, are there any Chinese apps built in boot? Can Google play store be used even if it is limited? Netflix, mx player, plex, youtube etc. can we download apps from playstore? Thank you for your time.
That not an idiot question at all, the situation is quite complicated with this projector due to the different versions. Yes, I have the international version. So my projector was in English out of the box and even only had an European outlet. You have access to an app store on the projector, but it is very limited and by far not as big as the typical google play store. There is a plex app, but there is no official support for Netflix and Amazon prime. There are some work arounds like rooting the device or installing apps via USB stick, but the main problem is that the projector does not offen the DRM features that Netflix requires. Long story short: You are way better off if you just connect something like an FireTV Stick or something similar to the device. I hope i could help you

@@LinaninBabasi The xiaomi projector is still one of the best UST projectors (considering the price) on the market. So a fireTv is quite a cheap fix for a major problem of the device. Still, it would be way better if the device just would ship with a normal android TV os.

Selbstverständlich kannst du deine PS4 einfach via HDMI anschließen. Einige Nutzer haben nur beschrieben das der Inputlag ein wenig höher ist als bei TVs. Falls das für dich ein Problem ist musst du das bedenken, aber bei manchen Spielen ist der riesige Screen sicher genial

@@michaelstalder4782 Wenn du es in Europa kaufst, zum Beispiel von Amazon dann hast du Android TV drauf und alles ist in Deutsch (oder Englisch). Nur wenn du es von Importhändlern wie Gearbest oder so beziehst kannst du die chinesische Version bekommen.
