i appreciate that you don’t forget to give the local community the ability to share how they feel candidly and shine light on possible oversights on the logistics side made in terms of doing things for the community the race is affecting. even if its a short bit, its nice to see. ty for sharing
being honest I am really excited for Vegas I just wanna see those shots of 20 cars (hoping nobody crashed yet) rush down the Las Vegas strip
Leclerc ?
You must not live here
@@robt9374I live here but I don’t act like a Disney adult like most negative Vegas locals
oh wow you must be so special to live there wow ...... America's version of Blackpool, England...... Tacky, Tacky, tacky@@robt9374
I'm excited as well. It will be a good race and entertaining
Wow, you really did your homework for this race Kym! It is absolutely impressive that so much planning has had to go into this. The logistics are mind-boggling! Thank you and enjoy the race!
Thank you
I freaked out a little when I watched the cars going in reverse at 10:18, lol. Amazing video as usual Kym!
Was unusual to see them so perfectly in reverse
Yes I had to double take that as well. I think they wanted the shot to show the lighting?
Tenet
Btw this is probably the best reporting and conveyance of everything going on I've seen so far. Thanks for the updates and content!
Much appreciated!
I wish they would light COTA. A night race in Austin would be AMAZING. It gets so dang hot
Agreed! 97 degrees this year!! We we’re all melting in the grandstands
Love your optimism. I wonder how the race will go with the colder temperatures.
Appreciate the update Kym. We are all interested in your POV after the race.
Let’s hope it all runs smoothly and the incidents are all on track.
Spectacle it shall be!
This will be my first Formula 1 race attendance, so excited
Great content Kym. Im looking forward to the race!
Absolutely heartbreaking 7:05 - 7:10 where are they supposed to go, in the cold temperatures they'll have those days, especially late at night... :(
The same thing they did last year .
Hi Kym! Love the channel. You got me hooked into F1 back in June when I attended my very first race in Barcelona. Since then, you’ve helped me learn more about the sport and the ongoings and just enjoy the way you present information. Went to Austin a couple weeks ago and will be in Vegas filming content. Hope to run into you and say Hello! 🏎️👍🏾
Love the details and hard work you put into your video. So much research and editing. I absolutely love your videos. Keep up the great work
Thank you for the insight again Kym.
Quite looking forward to this race as well
Thank you for keep us posted!
Thank you for your service, Sir. I live in Reno, NV. Just a road-trip away but it's completely unaffordable for me this year. Hopefully I'll see you there next year!
Kym, huge kudos to you for the build-up of content you have published in the run-up to this hugely anticipated F1 Grand Prix. No doubt, its been a pain in the neck for residents and visitors to Las Vegas for this first race but Knob Jockeys aside 😆I hope it will be an amazing event and you have a fantastic weekend and as always your Irish fans will eagerly await your video's after the race.
Loving these videos, Kym! Getting me hyped, cant wait to get to Vegas tomorrow!!
Have fun!
I LOVE your video's Kym!!! Please never stop!
Im so excited for it, the race itself will be something else too track seems tight but a lot of oppertunities to overtake on the long strights, leading to some epic battles
These are great vids Kym thanks
Thanks for the update excited to attend my first GP. I too saw all these youtubers saying prices dropping but when I looked didn't see anything cheaper.
As always the best behind the scenes channel I look forward to,thank you Kym and keep up the good work👍👊
Thanks and will do!
Thanks Kym, great video. Have fun coming weekend!!
Thanks! You too!
Thanks for a great summary! Am I glad I don't have to visit the race! I get a panic attack just thinking about the craziness. My first and only race was the last one in Zandvoort in the 80's, that was crazy enough! But I'm sure the spectacle will be something else, and great on TV. Good luck and enjoy! Looking forward to your report from behind the scenes after the race!
I'm super excited for Vegas and this is the level of information I've been waiting for! Thank you, very helpful and now I'm a subscriber. :)
Glad it was helpful!
Good review, thanks.
Not sure if it was intentional in the intro but Hamilton being the Queen gave me a chuckle lol.
Omg it’s perfect; and Verstappen being the King fits their personalities lol
💅always
Awesome vid once again, I think the best bit is at @10:15 though.. It's like a reverse world :)
Very good info - had a laugh at around 10:25, those Vegas drivers are talented! New sub.
Thanks for the sub!
Wonderful, we all were waiting for this video!
Great content. Subscribed 🍻
Thankyou
that reverse clip tho. Big fan! Love your work!
I can't imagine how much research you put in for this video. Great work!
A lot
Exciting breakdown of the Las Vegas Grand Prix preparations! 🏎️ The insights into the track, lighting, and logistics add a whole new dimension to the anticipation. Can't wait to witness the F1 action in Vegas!
Fantastic inside Information Kym, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
It's the least you can do but well done for putting on the un-housed in your video... more than i've seen from any local media!
Kym, You're too much! Never change! Thanks for a fun report!
Great video, first I have seen of yours and really enjoyed it. As for the race I am less than thrilled about it. Certainly a race being done more for the money and pomp, not for the racing and fans. I will enjoy it on my couch about 20 minutes from the strip.
great video keep up the good work Kym 🔥
Thank you! Will do!
Looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing…!
You bet!
i'm agree with you, this race should be fascinating. straight lines and fast tracks mean overtakes. that, plus the danger of a street circuit.
great production quality and pleasant presentation. you got a new subscriber
Good to hear
just saw that reverse clip of cars all backing up and people walking back, love your vids
I had to stop the video and review it over and over. It just caught me funny and had a big laugh.
Great video! Any idea if there will be tv screens around the track at grandstands like other races?
It is the most anticipated, but I'm not entirely sure if it's for the best reasons 😂
Enjoyed the vid as usual. Very impressed how you organised the cars and people to drive/walk backwards. Good job. 😂
A logistical feat
I'm sure that everything organization-wise will be spectacular, over-the-top American style, great!
Looking forward to see how the actual racing will pan out given the track conditions, including the air temperature, and no special tyre compounds.
For the Celsius people: 10 degrees Celsius at results in 1 degrees Celsius windchill at 300km/h; 5 degrees Celsius results in -5 degrees Celsius at 300km/h. Not very comfortable to drive in an ordinary race suit and gloves. It will be the complete opposite to Qatar qua conditions.
Yesterday, I was watching a live-stream of the Fremont Street Experience and I thought I saw you there... camera in hand and a t-shirt that said "Charlotte". I hope you made it down there as it can be a spectacle.
The reversing video is a nice touch which makes everyone look twice. 👍 I did a reverse portion of a video at the spot behind you with the camera facing towards the Mirage. Great minds as they say.
Kym, thank you for the informative and entertaining video....brutal highs and lows of our country 😢
But it's #LVGP 🤘🇺🇸❤️
I usually wake up around 2am by habit anyways. Just happy to see a new course with new challenges for the drivers.
Great video Kym, I laughed hard at that ending when you just said, "Nob jockey." 😂😂😂😂😂
Correct spelling would be knob jockey, and that’s what he was
lol just noticed traffic going backwards at 10:20, people walking backwards too. lol great updates though. keep the content coming
Hello Kym, I am a brand new subscriber though I have seen a few of your video's in the past. My name is Kim, I reside about 75 northeast of Las Vegas in Mesquite, Nv. Just wanted you to know sir that your honesty plus your knowledge of F1 is most refreshing and greatly appreciated. There has been any number of video's posted on You Tube over the past month or so that are so misinforming it's crazy. I guess honesty is secondary when it come to getting views on You Tube and that's a shame. Kym, thanks again sir, your efforts are truly appreciated!
Welcome and thanks
You're a true and great ambassador for the F1, Kym. Again great content, enjoy your race weekend at Las Vegas.
Thank you
Wondered what you was talkjing about with a race on the sat, had to think about it for a second because its on the sunday for me lol
Super excited! I’ll be in the sphere zone. Hope it’s a great race! 🏎️✌️
I'd say there definitely was scalpers, and it brings joy to see them having to sell tickets at the prices they bought them for
100% agree, I have heard ticket demand is less than anticipated. If I had tickets to sell I would want to get rid of them asap.
Let's hope all goes well and smoothly
will definitely be interesting to see how the cars / drivers perform on the new surface and what appears to be a bit chilly forecast
Great content as usual. Looks like it will be great. I know they drive on the other side of the road. But it surprised me they also drive backwards lol. 11:24 is gold.
i enjoyed the clip you ran backwards ("why are the cars backing up on that road?") 😄
Ahh, I’m so sad for the poor unhoused folk who will be further displaced, but also appreciate your effort to give notice to this issue.
haha "knob jockey", you make me proud to be a fellow Aussie Kym...
Love your work mate, thanks for sharing all that you share...
Thank you so much for covering the landscape before some of us are able to get there. Do you still think the bridge will be the best place to post up for autographs if you have access to East Harmon Zone?
Logan Sargeant doing a signing event at Home Depot is the most American thing I've ever heard...
I agree too, this is good for Vegas!
Hi Kym, I so enjoy your travel videos in and out of the different F1 races. Outside of travel costs, how much does it cost or what's required for journalist to get their badging and entry for each race? You've also mentioned your gotten special access at some of the races to take pictures in certain spots, how does that work or can you specify the type of access?
More facts presented than many other native vloggers. Good job Kym,
Thank you! 😃
10:17 this clip tripped me out, took me a minute to understand what was happening 😂
Kym. Can't wait for race weekend. 1 more sleep. Wynand & Tracy - Heidelberg, Gauteng, SOUTH AFRICA
Funny, I had to do a double-take at 10:20 into your video, because I wore I saw the cars in reverse! Talk about a funny Easter Egg.
10:15 I thought that car was backup up at first. lol
Quite useful information 👍👍
Thanks a lot
So excited to go to my first gp!
at 10:15 there was a glitch in your matrix, that's when cars were travelling in reverse and pedestrians were walking backwards. But thanks for the update. Always look forward to your videos.
.em rof llew tnew taht trap ylno ehT
I love the clip at 10:14 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s going to be COLD at midnight in the desert and it’s got a super long straight (tires cool down) right into a super slow corner. Look for heavy lockups there!
Epic, Iconic, Super, Astounding, Unforgettable. Yes Yes YES
Good video
"Knob Jocky" Such an Australian saying 🤣
you can buy a ticket for the Paris viewing deck on for about 350 dollars for the race.. havent seen anyone mention it. still expensive but much cheaper than a proper ticket
Thanks for the tip on seeing drivers. We are staying at Elara, seats on Harmon. Can’t wait. 🏎️🍺🎲🥃🎰
Have fun!
As another west Aussie I love your sense of humor compared to most of the other stiffs that cover F1. Your comment in the blooper at the end cracked me up. Keep them coming...
Thank you kindly
Food options are plentiful. Try the Capital Grille. They are closer to the action than Morton’s and just 7 to 10 minute walk away from The Palazzo.
If I'm paying this much money for a ticket, I better be able to bring my camera!
This race needs 40 yellow flags, 2 red flags, 14 safety cars, a Latifi comeback for it to work.
You're spitting straight facts
@@medilyesoudhini7411 Well, the race didn't even happen yet.
I wish you be disappointed
@@wakilbukar7596boo
You forgot mazepin 😮😂
The safety car ,will play a part, even if you have a bad qualifications , you can still have a good race if you come into the pits and change on the right tyres
7:04 💔
He is a poet
No loud conversations, and any cheering is right out!!!
To be completely honest, F1 can show as many celebrities as they like, but from the Formation lap to the chequered flag, I want coverage to be on the motor race. I don't want to see a crowd shot or a celebrity faking an interest in F1. As a Brit, my coverage is by Sky Sports, which has the slogan 'It's only live once', and I want to see this spectacle and every overtake LIVE.
I also like to see the pre-race grid and the iconic "grid walk" by people like Martin Brundle and Will Buxton, but this time, unfortunately, we're going to have to put up with more celebs than usual that will choke up the grid and be interviewed.
10:22 Las Vegas really is different, they even drive everywhere in reverse!
It was pretty amazing how all of those cars drove backwards at the 10:20 mark. Personally I would prefer the race to be at a less glitzy place, one that doesn't detract from the race, like Watkins Glen. Although it would take a boat load of improvements to host F1 being in the northeast would attract more race real fans as opposed to tourists.
Hey Kym, what's the weather like right now in Las Vegas?
We booked a 2 queen bed room at Park MGM for around $200/night incl resort fees from Thurs-Sun. That's basically regular price! Also, we saw grandstand seats in the Sphere Zone for $200ish for Fri Quali. Cheaper on East Harmon if you don't mind that part of the track. Not bad at all.
Rumor has it that ticket sales are slower than anticipated. Not saying there will be a fire sale, but something to consider.
I will be taking a "gamble" on holding off on buying tickets until Wednesday or Thursday. Or just watch as I ride up and down the escalators. 😅
@@Vanimaniac same. We have tickets for the race on Saturday night, but holding off for last minute tickets for Friday Quali.
Thanks for your updates! I just booked my flight, hotel and F1 tickets all cheaper then I cost it out several months ago. There are good deals if you know where to look and stay.
Have fun!
Although I am against the LVGP taking place due to obvious reasons (eg. money etc), it's great that you're showing us behind the scenes and the construction and generally organising the race in your videos. I'm remaining sceptical as of now though
Something i have always wondered, how do you become an f1 photographer and what expenses come with it/ forms of income from it etc…. A video about this would be great
Hi, I would first suggest you watch my video “The money side of F1 photography” - www.kymillman.com/store/money-side-of-f1-photography/ it’s free for my UA-cam members too. If you want more information, feel free to book a one to one session with me at www.kymillman.com and I will gladly tell you what I know.
Regards
any issues with banding in photos? Shame Sonys a9iii with its global shutter isnt released until spring next year.
01:29 I'm very curious what the organizers found out for the Sphere during the GP. That can be something that was never seen during an F1 race.
