This song feels like when you've been feeling down for a while and you get a little spark, and _maybe_ that spark will get you back to normal, like the first step upwards after a long way down
Omg yes. That's how all their songs are for me. Whenever I start to feel low again I come back and listen to their music. It seriously is like therapy 😭
Not for me. Kkb reinforces the idea that I'm less happy than people who produce stuff like this, and that I probably will be this way forever. It scare me, I'm getting older and more and more time goes by, and I try to practice gratitude and self-improvement, work hard and save money. Yet happiness eludes me and I go to bed alone.
@@austins.2495 it’s important to take a proactive approach to building up the things that will make you happy, because just trying to happy on it’s own will rarely work. Making meaningful friendships is the main thing but there’s plenty of smaller things that will help (like regular exercise, keeping to a consistent sleep schedule, good hygiene, a clean living environment, face to face socialisation, and a rewarding [preferably fairly cheap] hobby) That said, covid is currently posing a problem to many of those but it’s important to make an effort anyway.
How they were able to abandon their previous bubblegum dance pop genre and pay homage to a more indie-style sound (akin to the mid oughts), WITHOUT sounding too contrived is WAY beyond me. Been following since 2014 and this band is incredibly consistent with what they produce. Always excited for that next BOP to DROP

Why do they change too many styles, just to see KKB discountinued? I know they may represent the human's life stage, from being a child to the grow-up, to become whatever god, but what next?
I may have school and need sleep, but this is more important than anything in my life right now Thank you kero kero bonito for blessing my ears at 12:00 am
KKB is improving drastically both in musical complexion and style and I love it. While yes, I do miss the simple beats made by their synth pop, J-pop like songs in Bonito generation, this is a nice change of pace.
Honestly I love the aesthetic of this entire album because it really gives me a huge 90s-2000s feel/mood, it's sorta like walking into a GoodWill, finding an old mp3 player with these songs on it and hitting the play button.
when sarah said "if i never get to decide my reality at least i see how it could be when i get round to sleeping, dreaming works for me" i really felt it
as somebody who makes so so so SO many characters and often fails to write or draw anything of substance with them, but rather uses them as a means of escape from boring life and even thinks of their stories before i fall asleep... this song hits home.
Even Bonito Generation had allusions to depression and was a little unsettling to me. I mean, some songs were just fun pop songs like "Heard a Song", but others just felt too peppy. "Waking Up" and "Trampoline" are both pushing back at depressive thoughts. They feel like attempts to will depression away by being as exuberant and hopeful as possible, to the point of feeling almost manic. "Try Me" feels that way to me as well, but it's not explicitly stated in it. I feel like making a list of your positive qualities is a common way to try to overcome doubt and negativity that come along with depressive thoughts.
This album had pristine alternative rock melodies combined with background synthesizers carrying over the same quirky elements from Bonito Generation. A masterpiece. No other artist or group sounds like them at all.
Still one of my most played songs when I need something self-aware, or something when I need a pick-me-up. For four years, this songs been there for me, when the things in my head, however real they seem, need to be made to be _not_ believed, if you get me.
it's the band I've listened the most to during this quarantine, it really gets me in that good reflexive blissful state (which we are all needing a little in these days)
this song is specifically about lucid dreaming (being aware that you're in a dream and being able to control the contents of the dream) - the first verse makes it very obvious
YES! My birthday is tomorrow, and my favorite band uploaded a day before! The perfect birthday present! Love you guys, the 16th can't come soon enough!
I can't believe music could be this powerful! It cured my acnes, depression, drived my suicidal thoughts away, I'm getting straight A's at school and my crush loves me too now!! Thankyou Bonito very cool!!!
If it doesn't usually recommend good music, it might be because you don't listen to enough of it ;) You have to switch things up, when you listen to music you haven't listened to before, you'll get more suggestions. If you only listen to mainstream music, that's mostly what youtube will suggest. Branch out. It's worth it.
But 8/22 is last month. September is the ninth month. And the British read dates differently. I would love if they did release it on Saturday but unlikely

Kero Kero going back to early 2000's sound. I like it.
Even with the 2000's camera, nostalgic as heck
this is like. late 90s pop.
2000s sound, camera and horror. Because the first few shots are the shit I lose an erection by, and the rest is the cause of the erection
This song reminds me a lot of Great Good Fine Ok's sound actually. They do a mix of 80's, and 90's. And some 70's disco-ish elements.
You can't keep getting away with this. We knew it would happen with the songs, but even the videos keep getting ridiculously better. Thank you.
