Kero Kero Bonito is the only band I know whose able to perfectly capture the feeling of young adulthood angst in their music in such a creative and metaphorical way. The lyric, “I get the feeling I always have been swimming” just hits me right in my chest every time. This is probably one of their best songs in my opinion. The melody and lyrics are simple, yet their is so much depth within them.

I recently discovered kkb and ive been struggling with stuff recently. A prominent figures suicide has also gotten to my head and ive been thinking about death and life the purpose of it all. Its not good for the head Whenever i need something to get me away from reality, music always helps. When my favorite bands that have more energetic music like Weezer, Green Day, Oasis, Soundgarden Nirvana, etc cant do it for me and i need something to make me feel this.... melancholy sense of chill and happiness, i go to this song specifically. This, or radiohead. K.K.B. is mostly a more upbeat band, but every band has a song like 'Swimming.' I think K.K.B. did this song really well.
I grew up on the isle of Portland in the UK where this was filmed. the lighthouse she is near is Portland Bill. it really was a beautiful place to grow up in the summer by the sea.
