It's hard to throw away things that may have played a significant part in your life at one time. Those objects still hold your memories, but are simply garbage to anyone else.
_Hear the crunching beneath of junk let go_ _A parrot cage and dial phones_ Sarah's childhood pet parrot died sometime after Bonito Generation was released.
this is the song that most stuck out to me when this album came out. i was going through a really bad depression and listened to this almost every single day then. things are a little better but it's weird listening to this now.
damn bruh. ik that feeling the song becomes then somehow nostalgic even though it reminds you of a bad time but makes you also feel good because you feel better now and shows you how much you have been through now... anyways hope that your better now
i was also going through the same thing when this album came out, and even though i love every song on there bad memories come back when listening to them :/ i had time today on repeat, and this song. can't believe it's been 3 years already.
It sounds like the type of music that you play over a montage of a group of characters exploring japan until the sun sets and two of said characters secretly have feelings for each other and it’s all a very tender moment
Especially when you realize that Sarah's parakeet passed on prior to this album. The videos for this album and their live shows still feature an animatronic parakeet.
i think i like this one the most. it's grey skies and a muddy, clangy racket off in the distance somewhere. i loved the dump when i was a kid, i used to collect old keyboards and electronics and crack them open when i got home to learn how they worked. and i hear that vibe really clearly in the song itself and it brings me back to happy times
so weird thinking this came out in 2018.. i saw them in november of 2018. was an amazing show, got a water bottle from sarah, wish they would tour again. crowd was so nice too. so genuine, miss that year :(
speaking of murder music i kinda imagine a scene where a girl finally have the guts to murder her abuser then this song plays while she tryna clean everything up by from throwing all the evidences in the dump (and chemicals she used to dissolve the corpse) and then finally her murder weapon....then she slowly walks away from the dumpsite
I used to listen to this with my friend at night we used to talk till past midnight but one day she just stopped and I never saw her again I never knew why I still haven’t got a response from her this song reminds me of her
Who would have thought, that listening Death Grips for memes could lead to this song. And now I like both bands unironically. Sometimes life is really unpredictable, but I have no regrets about that. Also, this song is amazingly melancholic, I love it
I love this song so much. It’s so strange and nostalgic. The whole vibe is a gray, purple, and a fading in blue. It’s a song that it feels like you’ve heard before but faintly remember. It’s just so gooood. Her vocals are amazing. I love that “gragly” (word I made up) GBA sounded background “bass”. It just makes it more nostalgic. It’s a playful, dead, and familiar song. Best way I can describe it.
never thought i'd almost cry listening to a song about trash being thrown away

Yeah I get u. Sometimes I feel nostalgic but sometimes I feel like the song is ruined because like it was a bad time but it sounds so nice
Kinda comforting
i was also going through the same thing when this album came out, and even though i love every song on there bad memories come back when listening to them :/ i had time today on repeat, and this song. can't believe it's been 3 years already.
It's so weird how music makes you feel so many different emotions, just because of memories tied to them
kkb gets even more fantastic... Now it is more as poetry.
The form is 6,6,3,6,6,3 alternating the rymes.. ABACBD, ABACAB, ABABCC
Cool patterns
That guy in your pic is shinmen takezo right?

how did they make it?
shit is so good omg I would listen to it on loop
@@staigenerator2949That’s a very vague question
This sounds like the type of music you put on at night in a city while the moon shines down after a long day
Or after a long day at school, plopping down on your bed, and staring at the ceiling while this plays.
That was literally me right now😯
@@epicshibexd5049 music like this pleaseee

But specifically an old soviet city, not in the worst part of the city, but not the best part either. No idea why
Unsettling, in a pleasing way.
honestly what kkb does best imo, astoundingly beautiful terrifying songs

the bit about the parrot cage is so sad
Especially when you realize that Sarah's parakeet passed on prior to this album. The videos for this album and their live shows still feature an animatronic parakeet.
This song is a prime example of why this album feels so wintery even when its not the intention.
this song reminds me of walking around my hometown on a warm summer night after smoking a bowl

I love the synth on this song that sounds like squeezing syrup out of a bottle

this song has been the soundtrack of the inside of my mind for the past 4 years its just so beautiful and sad and wow
this song gives me an overwhelming sense of nostalgia, probably one of my favorites off time n' place.

Wow, one of my favorites on Time n' Place. So atmospheric, hard hitting and compositionally really cool too. Super jazzy and original, idk
this song feel like the shade in a house or apartment at like 2:00 that feels so grey and clear but also unsettling and unclear

The drums gave me a brief panic attack, it felt like someone was sternly but gently beating at my door. Great Track!
the"riff" starting at 1:05 sounds preety close to lonesome street by blur (at 2:52 ) wonder if they like damon's work.

Those dreary guitar chords hit so fucking good
Honestly this is my fav kkb song, close second is Cinema. Absolutely love yall :)
yes this and cinema is def their best songs
This song is like lying down after a long hard day then taking a deep breath being glad it’s over
best track imo
Agreed
i love how the start of the song sounds like a nursery rhyme along w/ this sick drum beat
This song is great for scenic road trips. Best part is that keyboard riff at 1:05. So soothing.
YESS new kkb sounds amazing
Starting my October great! Thanks KKB 🙏🏻
Surreal
This song is so beautiful, my favorite from the album
I wonder if it was intentional that "and dial phones" sounds really similar to "and all your thoughts"
Glad I saw this comment. I'm just realizing that this song may be a metaphor for therapy.
i heard a barracade (sometimes i heard parakeet) and die old folks

fave song ever

this song is so calm i love it
Listening to this while taking a dump
Is this song about you dumping all the amazing and wonderful songs and notifications you have been keeping! 😂😂
This sounds like a "horror" vocaloid song
omg yes
This feels like Ending Credits Music or Starting Credits music or Montage Music or like a Murder Scene Music
That escalated quickly
speaking of murder music i kinda imagine a scene where a girl finally have the guts to murder her abuser then this song plays while she tryna clean everything up by from throwing all the evidences in the dump (and chemicals she used to dissolve the corpse) and then finally her murder weapon....then she slowly walks away from the dumpsite

I think you perfected your new style in this song ❤️
I swear that sound at 1:09 was sampled from Zoothorns on HEALTH and that whole album is sick
Shaping up to be my favorite kkb song (despite some of their albums being virtually incomparable)
this album and MGMT's LDA made my 2018 great ngl
