@@NachoAverageFinds do a history on pumas racing shoes lol i want to know more
I can help if y'all need some
The Puma suede is actually pretty comfortable for being a classic
Duke It is! They feel amazing right out of the box. No breaking them in
A bit heavy but that was pretty normal for a classic
I can skate in these
@@adamismail2883 do you know how heavy it is compared to vans?
@@adamismail2883 They will make your legs stronger. ☺👟👟
My gym teacher in middle school had a pair of green suedes with the white stripe. I couldn't imagine spending $22.50 (yes that was the price in 76-77) on a pair of green Pumas but that started it for me . My friends and I would bike to the local sporting goods store a town away just to look at them.I saved up $12 and my mother put in the rest (Pro Keds or Converse canvas were $10-12). I bought a pair in blue with white stripes. I didn't stop looking down at my feet for months. I couldn't believe I finally had a pair of my own. Super quality materials and workmanship. While in college, I worked in that sporting goods store and witnessed the whole industry explode through the years. Magical time to unpack those Jordan 1's from their master carton in the 80's.
Thank you for sharing!
Story time: Me growing up in Brooklyn...10-11 years old...family is on the poor end of the spectrum...with Mother shopping for upcoming school year...spotted a pair of these bad boys in my size...$30...$30 damn dollars...tia nothing but a large lunch these days but back then it was a King’s ransom...begged and pleaded with my Mother...I still can’t believe she said yes...I have never felt “fresher” then I did the following first day of school. You will always be #1 to me PUMA.
Pumas are Classics Real Hip Hop
Dee jose2480 They sure are!
I like the Puma’s, but I prefer shell toes
Troops were hip hop actually
I'm wearing a pair, right now. I didn't get them until 2019. My first thought was, "What took me so long?" They are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn and I'm in my late 50's.
It’s all good brotha❤! Long as u feel good
Puma still rocks for me til this day. Got the Puma Roma too 🙌🏼
L . O . R Puma is so underrated!
Puma Suedes hold a special place in my heart. I was a kid during the break dance era of the 80’s, and it was all about Shell Toe Adidas or Puma Suedes. At least in my neighborhood, Puma was the go to shoe. More color ways meant more options to make an outfit with another item that was just as essential to B-Boys….colored Lee Jeans. The standard B-Boy outfit of the time in my hood was a Windbreaker, Colored Lees, and fat laced Puma Suedes. With either the Pumas or the fat laces color matched the Lees. My mom didn’t have much money back then so she only bought me the white leather Pumas with the black stripe instead of the suedes. I did get black fat laces though. So I pretty much was stuck with black and white fits for that time, lol. Now as an adult with my own cash, if I find a shoe I like. I buy 3 or 4 of its color ways. My Puma Suedes were Black, Royal, and Red.
Puma fan since 1986 and my collection still growing !
Such a cool video. Puma has been way underrated for way too long. Love what they’ve been doing the last few years. I have the 68 Olympics track jacket, and found out a guy I work with was there when that moment happened!
This video brought back so many childhood memories growing up in East New York, Brooklyn! Rocking the blue suede Puma with the Fat untied laces was the ish in the mid/late 70’s early 80’s to school and the roller rink was just Classic!
Reginald Mackey Damn Reginald! I’m
Jealous you actually lived it! That’s amazing man. If I had a time machine...
People outside ny might not know that people were getting robbed for pumas back in the early/mid 80s..i was almost a vic!! Lol
As always, great content, well researched, thanks for this treat guys, love it! Cheers! 😊
Been wearing Pumas since 1978 when I was 15.Always wore the all white leather low and high tops.Have had almost every color suede. Classic and Clydes. At 59 yrs old, I currently have 17 pairs of Pumas, 14 of them suede.Growing up in the Bronx in the 70s and 80s, it was nothing but Pumas and Adidas for us.Pumas just had a stylish look and went perfect with our Lee jeans, mock necks and cardigans.
Amazing channel and killer content! Thank you so much for this excellent presentation. I learned so much about one of my all-time favorite shoes.
You're becoming one of my favorite channels...keep up the good work!!
Love this channel! Keep them coming!
Thanks for all the videos you made 💪🏻
CALIPSO292929 glad you enjoy them 😎
I always think of the puma suede as the "other" classic skate shoe. I don't think it's really anybody's first choice these days, but it is really nice.
Great video. It was like a mini documentary. Loved it
Not to be mean but u sound like Garfield
Pineapple coke76 hahaha I love it
@@NachoAverageFinds "John, get Odie & my lasagna"😂💯
Well done. My other favorite suede shoe from the 60s (1966) is the Adidas Gazelle. The 1991 version is still in production today and remains my favorite sneaker.
Hey Brian, good to see you in a video again.

Nice content, man!
When I was a kid growing up in the seventies, this was THE sneaker, there was nothing more coveted and if you had a pair you had it made in the shade.
My favorite sneaker puma sued
the hunter of death One of the best out there 😎
Who are they suing
I have been wearing Puma Suede and Clydes since the mid 1980s (had a few Yugoslavia pairs). Just got my Italian Clydes and have a pair of Crepe Suedes on the way. I remember in school the break dancers wore them with fat laces...I don't dance...but fell in love with the unmistakable look and style and have been addicted to it ever since. Puma is the brand that I have owned the most footwear of. GREAT video.
Love me a pair of puma suedes. I mostly wear work boots these days, but when I buy sneakers it’s always 1 pair of black on black chuck taylors, 1 pair of white on white AF 1s and a pair of the tan on black puma suedes.
Yes, you did it. Thank you for uploading this
Alexandru Toma glad you enjoyed it

Hi, congrats, this a wonderful piece. I would love to know where did you get the B&W footage at th beginning of the clip. Thanks!
Please do Onitsuka tiger Mexico 66 if you can, may not be big america but its big in asia
James Gatz I love the Mexico 🇲🇽 66 we might do something like that 🤔🤔
NachoAverageFinds yes! I hope you can. There are so many Collabs and the nippon made line is insane. Could even be a general history of ASICS
Yes please!!! Tigers are sick
Nicocchi this man gets it!!!
Great video ❤
Can we also appreciate that the Australian who was also on the podium was wearing a Badge in support of the black community. Who was then subsequently banned and looked over by the Australian olympic committee for doing what was right and was never given an apology before his death.
some australians still believe that what he did was wrong. sucks that people pretend that racism is a thing of the past
that's Peter Norman, Smith and Carlos were pallbearers at his funeral. if you look it up, there's pictures of them carrying his coffin 🥲✊🏿
Damn yall picked the best skate clips! Daewon, Kareem, stevie!!!
Yall know what time it is!
Keep up the good work. Props from New Zealand
Cool video man keep it up👍
Here in the U.K back in the mid 1980's they were called Puma States. A must have for any aspiring Break dancer or Graffiti artist involved in the Hip-Hop scene. I currently have the teal green colourway in my collection.
I barely have any Pumas in my collection and in Zambia it's hard to find them outside of major retailers like TotalSport and Studio88 who tend to sell them at resale price equivalent to the USD. I usually have plugs who do the job and sell at thrift prices which is how my collection grew except for Vans and chucks which are very much affordable here at retail price. Zambia's sneaker community has grown massively through the years and your videos have helped my passions grow further. Hoping a sneakerhead from my side of the world also sees what you guys have done!! Definitely need to cop more pumas especially the suede. I'd love to see a video on the Adidas Gazelles or DCs maybe even the rise and fall of Supra that would be epic!!!
Jay Mazyopa What up Jay!? Thanks for the thoughtful comment man. The rise and fall of Supra is a good idea! I think we will definitely being that one soon thanks to you haha good luck finding PUMA out there man. Appreciate the support
Great Video. B-Boys stand up!!!
love these videos ❤
Michela Mizzi glad your enjoying them
Nice use of background music in this one guys, love the video!
Nick Walkenbach glad you enjoyed it
I dig the history videos on these sneakers. How about a vid on the sneaker wars of the mid to late 80’s? BK’s, Reebok, Nike, Adidas, Troop, Lotto, Cons, LA Gear, Fila, Ellesse etc.... that would be a great vid.
LUIS AGUILAR That would be an amazing episode! Finding archival footage would be a challenge
You two are AWESOME 👏
ALOHA🌴
Thank god a new vid from Nacho
I got you mang!
Thank you Nacho for the amazing content you make
Where is the shopping videos nacho??
Great video!
K R Y Z H A L I D We post those strictly on TikTok now since most people seem to like the history videos more. Thanks for watching G!
These videos are way better than any sneaker ad. I'm not even a sneakerhead but I wanna get a pair right now.
I been waiting for this exact video💯💯
blackcatdtx thanks for being Patient did we deliver?
@@NachoAverageFinds Too many inconsistencies, but this video, is from within your perspective. So much wasn't said, and a lot that was actually said, was a bit off.

Jon Clark Thanks for watching Jon!
I didn't think I ever wondered how Puma got started, it just showed up in my feed. This turned out to be interesting and a fun watch.

sophie we was in the lab 🔬😂😂
Hope you can do a History of Vans Old Skool! New subscriber hereee! Great content! More success to your channel!
big fan of puma here, thanks for the video, very informational. I actually never owned a Suede, but had plenty of Clydes and Basket
They're basically the same shoe lol slight differences. Thanks for watching!
The thing I like about suede is,even tho they're iconic sneakers, they are not expensive..
Alshan Muhammed Exactly! You can easily find these anywhere for 30-40 bucks!
@@NachoAverageFinds The bullshit ones. Try on an OG pair, and you'll see the difference
@@randee4550 we are talking about OGs..It only cost about 2500rupees(about 40$)in puma outlets in India...
@@doughboy1869 90681's? Doubt it. Dudes still wear open toe sandals, in India. Never seen a pair of official pumas there
Ran Dee lol you just salty. Where are you viewing India from? 🤔
Y’all should do one on the Reebok Pump! Btw love this series
Daniel Quijano Of course man we love Reebok! Def going to do a Pump technology video
NachoAverageFinds Sick !! Can’t wait to see!!
Lol , I can do that for you right now. ....Reebok pumps had a LOT of hype but in the end us kids preferred Jordan's to....pumps. So kids who were fans of "new kids on the block & steve Urkell" wore them 😂
@@NachoAverageFinds Reebok classics are the only good sneakers they had. The ones from cir 1985 that ppl used to wear to do aerobics. No other Reebok has culture. Not where I'm from anyway.
@@NachoAverageFinds PLEASE do a video on the "top tens Adidas"....NOT the "top 10 Adidas shoes ever" but "THE ADIDAS TOP TENS". love those shoes.
I love Pumas! I love this video! And I've been skateboarding in Pumas since 1993 and Im 40 years old now and still skate! Awesome video !! Subscribed🐱 ideally they need to call a pair Jaguars or something similar
I remember that. One of the guys puma pick up was joey brezinski. The dude rock pumas alot and skated with alot of dope colorway
BennyPaddyCake Joey Brezinski has such a sick style. I’m bummed they didn’t give him more control over their skate division. It could have been great
@@NachoAverageFinds yeah. Puma looks promising, but i think they jump on the skate scene too late. If the started in the early or mid 2000s, they would of have a good following
Puma and the Suede will always be associated with jamiroquai and his sublime clips of the 90' for me.
Yes he wore puma states as they called them then, now we have to say suede lol
Everytime you guys talk about a sneaker model , just made me really want to buy one
KIDREAM 052 same here haha every time I make a video I want to buy one during the process
Awesome very informative
M R . G O O D V I B E S Thank you Mr Goodvibezzz haha

I used to rock Puma Suede's back in 82-83 in jr high in NY with the Lee Jeans that came in different colors
I love the puma.... Tks for the video.....regards
Looking forward to the Jordan 1 episode!
Ac Benny It’s coming! Most likely February
Had a navy blue pair with white stripe in the early 90's
Great vid
Thank you
I would love to see a history of Diadora shoes, mainly big in Europe, but a shoe here or there has had fame in the U.S. like the N9000 or the Borg Elite. Peak of premium quality was 70s-80s, now more of a D-tier soccer brand.
Love the vids y’all keep it up
Best channel!
Federico Calvo thanks man mean a lot 😎
Best sneaker channel!!!
Sophia Argana Thanks Sophia! Appreciate it 😎
2 shoes I’ve rocked since 93-94 is the superstar and suede. My two fav shoes
Have you guys done a Pro Keds or Reebok one yet? This was dope. Thanks for sharing.
Zed E. What’s up Zed! Thanks. We’ve done a Reebok one that focuses solely on the Reebok x Allen Iverson series. No Pro Keds yet but we’ll do it in the future
Nice work on the old skate footage
this was a very cool video,Puma is one of my two favorite brands the other being New balance.
The suede are timeless classics I've had countless pairs, the biggest issue is they fade out if you try to clean them... especially the black ones 😓
Any solution and should I buy?... Looks stunning Though
These are so relaxing to watch, like damn I don’t even like the puma suede but I’ll still watch the video.

Been rocking puma suedes since 98
omar torres Classic!
I grabbed a pair of a Puma Suede cuz of this vid. I now view Puma different way, like it's so underrated
For looks, this sweet sneaker can't be beat. I gotta pair some years ago, still in the box, unused. Drawback is that rain and water stiffens the suede and makes it hard and rough to the touch. Hard to keep clean when exposed to the elements.
Found a nice pair at Ross the other day. Best come up!
6:30 that instrumental was sampled by my homie Lil Boxer. Check out *"The Way That It Is" by Lil Boxer*
You forgot to mention Nipsey Hussles Puma collaboration!
I don't wear suede leather shoes but this Puma are beautiful. My favourite bands wore them. BYW, I don't usually follow sneakerheads YT channel, yours is classy.
