i think the puma logo is nice and its a classic brand like reebok imo, but it does have a different standing than nike adidas or even under armour. you can get some good basic hoodies and sweatpants for sure
As an adidas employee and someone working in the sporting goods market for nearly a decade, I’m impressed how accurate these videos are! Keep up the amazing work!
One of the understated facts here is how Puma also leveraged international markets. Here in India, both Adidas and Nike shoes can cost you a pretty penny but Puma is extremely cheap. Most Indians prefer it, plus they also signed some of the biggest cricket players in the country. A lot of folks do not consider how companies like Puma, Adidas, Nike, and Reebok have operated in other markets.
@@ryuk6290 not really, Puma just have a wider spread in different categories. Puma's running shoes are still expensive and are some of the best. Velocity Nitro beats Nike's flagship pegasus. Puma deviate nitro is the best running shoe in the market. Puma court rider 2.0 is the best basketball shoe under $100. Puma isn't losing its brand value. it's creating a new identity for itself. Cheap and reliable products for low income households and performance products for more money. They do it all.

Well, Reebok actually was/is in the MMA market and they have Nurmagomedov as sponsor, and since that is part of Adidas, they are indirectly involved in it
Puma sneakers were the sh* a decade ago and it feels like it's getting back. Nike doesn't get me excited anymore but Puma is ready to strike once more.

Fascinating explanation of Puma's rise, fall....and comeback. It sounds a lot like SONY. In the same way that Puma has struggled to fully integrate it's two halves ...fashion and sport....SONY has had the exact same problem with it's media side and it's electronics side.

Puma basketball sneakers are great. The Clyde all-pro line is praised by almost everyone who has tried them, myself included, and are worn by many nba players. The Kuzma shoes are also an insane performer. I just wish they weren't tied to Kuz
As an Adidas fan I'm actually happy for them and i wish more people wear Puma instead of only Nike and Adidas when I'm going out all i see is people wearing Air Force 1 or superstar or gazelle but no one wears Puma if i had money i was gonna get the suede right now. Puma has actually improved a lot in the business game by signing a lot of good athletes also i would like to add the Esport category that you didn't include in this video Puma has a partnership with Cloud 9 and Gen G 2 rly good E-sport teams
As someone who wore both Puma and Nike boots for the odd kickaround, I have to say that while Nike has the aesthetic and are more "dynamic", Puma's boots are super comfy to wear on the field by comparison.
I hope your growth becomes meteoric so that Puma also ends up bringing you on board to be part of their fast group with Lamelo, Neymar, Usain, Jay-Z, and Lewis Hamilton. PS: If I'm not mistaken, Italy winning the 2006 world cup wearing Puma was also a tipping point for Puma to be back in the game, their sales surged after that year, though they stagnated towards the 2010s.

I hope you do a video on Asics and their comeback in running. As well as how they have become the number one Tennis shoes brand. While they are starting to make inroads into fashion. Especially with their sub brand Onitsuka Tiger which is huge in Asia. Or just a video about Asics in general and the history of Onitsuka Tiger and how it led to the creation of Nike. I think Asics would make a great topic for a video. And it's a brand you have not touched upon yet.
Great video! To add to this video out here in the States famous Rapper J.Cole signed with Puma which helped boost the name because i would of never gave Puma the time and day until he dropped his shoes! Love the Videos! Keep them coming!!!
They recently signed Isreal Adesanya, one of the biggest MMA stars - he displays this connection between fashion and highly skilled athlete very well :)
Not to mention Palmeiras, the first club to win Libertadores with Puma as its sponsor and one of the protagonists of south american football right now along Flamengo, River and Boca.
