Hi Mikey 👋
El
4:01 Marriland's team builder has a feature where you can add a pokemon with custom types
I find it funny that the hoen lover Mikey used Crustle for rock bug and not Almaldo
@@RodimusMinor1987 to be fair, he maybe rushing so that the video come out on schedule
The irony is that my hisuian zoroark named “Undertaker” ended up being the mvp of my whole game (once I finally got one) and was even the only Pokémon that survived the entire Giratina boss fight while also being the main one to do damage AND landed the final hit
Of course it was the final hit it was the only one to live
Funny, Undertaker is the name I use for Incineroar, my personal favorite Pokémon in general.
That’s what I named my basculegion 😳
Thats clutch
Hisuian Zoroark's speed and attacking power combined with the unique turn system and the ability to spam Shadow Sneak makes it a real force to be reckoned with in Legends Arceus. My Suture (that's what I nicknamed my hisuian Zoroark) was also my MVP against Giratina, with Shadow Sneak getting me extra turn after extra turn until I felt Bitter Malice could finish it off.
Out of all remakes, sinnoh definitely got the most unique remake (I don't count bdsp even though I love them). I hope they continue to do this with other generations. A Legends: Zygarde or Legends:Kyurem would be very interesting to see
Yeeees that would be dope
I think a legend of Kyruem would be sick. Gen 5 had so much story and maybe it'd be at the time of when it split or something?
Or maybe giratina legends or raquaza legends
But BDSP are remakes
The main ones even
I’d call PLA a reimagining instead of a remake
If i'm not wrong the hisuian types for the starters have already leaked
Samurott : Water Dark
Decidueye : Grass Fighting
Typhlosion: Fire Ghost
Ghost Typhlosion sounds so dope
Ah yes, my favourite starter trio. Greninja, Chesnaught and Chandelure.
@@leafshavingtool9185 I was thinking of my favorite starter trio Sharpedo, Breloom, and Blacephalon
I’ve looked at the leaks and I’m sure they’re:
Samurott: Water Fighting
Decidueye: Grass Flying
Typhlosion: Fire Poison
So now my favourite starter trio: Poliwrath, Tropius and Salazzle.

I've always said, normal or fighting/ghost, is a great type, having 0 weaknesses except dark, but 3 immunities.

I honestly don't know what I'm going to use when I get this game; since catching is the primary goal while battling is more secondary (since there are no gyms), I might just rotate my team a lot, which I've never really done before. I'm overwhelmed by the choices this game will offer and I love it. (I STILL don't know what starter I want, THAT'S how bad it is!)
Same man I have no idea what starter to pick
This was my thing too, kinda like Let's Go only more so. We don't know how team building and battling are going to fully work so planning out a team is pretty hard, especially when we don't have the full Pokedex. I'm planning on picking Rowlet but that's about it.
Join the side of twelve Pokémon teams
Im just gonna get 3 different save files and use all :/
Honestly same. I’m just gonna catch as many as I want as I go and sub in and out if need be depending on the situation
It’s mostly about color and type composition for me lol so I’d have to see a list, either picking Samurot or Typhlosion for the starter tho
SAME, I've never seen one person that genuinely care about color composition lol I either have a full red team that looks good or just 1 red Pokemon in the team there is no in between. (Red is an example but I do that with colours and types lol help me)
Ikr
You’ve got ur starter choices narrowed down to TWO! I can’t even do that.
@@emil-9859 lmao nice, I always try to get some sort of red, blue, green, yellow pattern in my team- with the last two often being some sort of grey or something that doesn’t clash
@@MochaCatJheraldyne well no better time to pick than when the game actually comes out lmao! I’m sure you’ll figure it out in the meantime tho
Knowing now with looks alone, Rowlet is definitely my favorite.
The team at 12:00 would be a good removing the zoroark and replacing it with a water type. Typhlosion has the ghost coverage (since we know that now)
I feel like you could’ve checked the custom Type Override box in Marilland. That way you could’ve, for example, put the name Zoroark, but with the implemented Types of Normal and Ghost. Or put the name Arcanine with Fire Rock’s weaknesses.
hmmm yes
I'm so happy that Rowley is one of the starters in this game bc decidueye is my favourite Pokemon :)
Ah yes my favorite starter Rowley from diary of a wimpy kid
SSSAAAAAAMMMMMEEEEEE (btw it’s rowlet)
I love rowley

I would choose rowlet if it was still ghost type because grass fighting sucks
Well, according to a leak I saw on Reddit, the typings for the final forms of the Hisuian starters will be:
Decidueye - Grass/Fighting
Samurott - Water/Dark
Typhlosion - Fire/Ghost
I'm honestly considering Cyndaquil as my starter now just because the Hisuian Typhlosion looks so derpy and I love it.

Zoroark will be so good.. Ghost and Fighting are incredible immunities competetivly (Shadow Ball, Poltergeist and CC are everywhere these days especially if the Legend of Arcoos mons are implemented in Gen 8 competetive) and Normal/Ghost sounds hella usefull for a Playthrough.
and normal immunity
I didn't know arceus was gonna have competitive or any way of battling other people
@@ThaBababoey they are on about if we can transfer from the game into SWSH. Much like people want to be able to get BDSP mons in SWSH too and change the entire competitive landscape.

I'm sad how so many people neglect Weavile, it's such a monster and can be built to sweep most pokemon with ease
Weavile is my fav Pokémon I used it on my team
i put it on my sword team with ice punch swords dance night slash and aerial ace and it was sooo good
The team builder is a beautiful thing like I never knew about this until watched the diamond and Pearl video it’s so useful to make a team and very good for rom hacks were you have to be a lot more diverse
I agree! I became a fan later in life so these newer games are some of my first play throughs and I haven’t used most Pokémon, so after I saw the BDSP vid I used it to build my team and I had a blast.
Totally ! I've discovered it in the other video too
Same. I used it to check the defensive coverage of my team for if I was a champion in a region with no dex limitations and found that not only is my team defensively STACKED, but also that all of them are in Sword/Shield. So I’ll be doing a play through with that team as soon as I get the last one as a shiny.
Yeah I used it to build my Platinum team (which took 2 hours, plus probably another cumulative 1 hour of double checking and making very minor adjustments). Defensively it's definitely not the greatest, with half my team being weak to 3 types, and there are 5 4x weaknesses (two of which are on one pokemon), but 9 types are resisted by 3 or 4 of my pokemon and I also have 7 immunities (2 of which overlap). Plus I built it with offense in mind, not really considering defense, so the only type I can't hit STAB super-effective is Fighting, but I have a coverage move for that on a pokemon immune to Fighting, so it's not a big deal. This is also my first ever official team, though, so I'm not surprised by its glaring issues.
What team builder does he use?
I used Mamoswine in bd and it absolutely tanks then fires back like a truck, it's also decently speedy
Same he was on my shining peal team and he beat Cynthia's Garchomp with avalanche
Didn't use it for BDSP, but have used multiple in HGSS and it's always a good go-to for a Lance MVP.
I’m also an mamoswine can
Fan
which nature is it because that may play a role?
A team of fully rowlets is 10/10 what are you talking about
In the team builder site, there’s actually a setting that lets you put custom types for different Pokémon. It’s good for things like this and for rom hacks with regional forms like insurgence
Edit: There’s also a custom mode for putting in moves to check for offensive coverage, but that’s probably not useful for this type of video
Can you tell me the name for this please?
@@Soulfire702 The site is ‘Marriland team builder’, the custom type setting is called ‘allow type overrides’ and the other mode is ‘advanced mode’ (both can be selected simultaneously)

@@grillecheeseobamasandwich2222 Oh cause leaks are always so accurate. Seriously if you're older then 12 you should know never to believe leaks
My final team ended up nothing like what I initially thought. Big surprise. I got Autumn the Decidueye, Specter the alpha Zoroark, Basalt the Arcanine, Stratus the Braviary, Chryso the alpha Goodra, and Fugu the Overquill. Not great defensively, but they're varied enough to be good enough for me. I also like that they're all either red or purple, so it's like I got a scarlet trio and a violet trio, with the two alphas as the team leaders.
*FOR THE THIRD TIME, OVERQWIL DOES NOT END WITH QUILL, IT ENDS WITH QWIL!*
I love the idea of making a “Team” but based off what we know about the game, there will be very few battles. I believe it’s going to be best to vary the team based off the environment and frenzied Pokémon your going to be challenging. I don’t think a fixed team is going to work in this game.
I feel this could be true but this would create problems assuming they would like you to keep you’re starter throughout the game you’re starter might then become overleveled
Marilland team builder DOES actually have a mode to change the types of pokemon! Just activate advanced mode! I used it for pokemon uranium, it's great!
Edit: actually, the option is "allow type overrides"
That's cool
@MARSYA💦⤵️ bro can you please stop fucking spamming
I tend to just build teams based on what Pokémon I personally find most likeable, without worrying about how good or balanced it is. If I end up making things difficult for myself, so be it! I'm particularly fond of the canine ones, so for now I was thinking of something like:
-Starter (decide based on final evo. For now, inclined toward Samurott)
-Hisui Zoroark
-Lucario
-Hisui Arcanine
-Ninetales
-some eeveelution (most likely Umbreon)
But what I find fun yet irritating is... No matter what "dreamteam" I have in mind, I usually end up diverging based on the game's progression. For example, I can insist on wanting a Lucario on my team no matter what, but perhaps it's only available very late in the game or even only in the postgame, meaning I'll end up using some different Pokémon for most of the playthrough. There's also the fact that the entire dex is not yet known, as well as some new forms being not yet known, + I've heard no news on whether the "regular" counterparts to the Hisuian forms will be in the game (E.g. will I be able to get a Kantonian Arcanine?) Based on all these factors, I might end up preferring a different team altogether. But it's always fun to ponder about it upfront. Here's to hoping it'll be a fun experience!
Just so you know samurott is confirmed water/dark decidueye grass/fighting and typlosion fire/ghost so that’s about all you need to know about the starter typings!
Thanks, that might actually change my starter pick! I like Rowlet but I'm a SUCKER for ghost and dark types. Thanks so much!

Now that they've been leaked I'm totally going for the 3 starters (assuming the rumours are true about catching them in the wild), zoroark, Goodra and the new ursaring evo.
I also have a Theory that the final evolutions for the starters are based off Japanese myth, in particular Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi Sussano
Explain
@@KurtXBasil Nothing too deep, but considering the aesthetic of this game is leaning more into ancient Japan vibe.
The game is centered around the Legend of Arceus, the PokeGod
Those three deities are linked within their stories and ideally could make for good starter designs. They are the 3 children of Izanagi(the creator God of Japanese myth)
Will need to edit my original post I said Kaguya but meant Tsukuyomi!
If that's the case then:

All of these Pokémon were the first of their species I caught, only ones I named, all other were released.
All of these Pokémon were caught in their base forms, and none of them are Alphas.
And yeah, I never found it necessary to give any Water type moves, as apparently Water is not necessary for a balanced team!
I had a Hisuian Sliggoo/Goodra on my team until I got Zorua, the former having a Water move, but I never really found it necessary.
I either already loved or immediately grew to love all of these except for Toxicroak, which I only grew to respect as I used her throughout the run. I first intended for her to just be filler until something better came along, but she turned out to be really good herself, so I gave her a permanent spot on the team, which I did not expect.
I have always loved the Yanma line but never used it because YANMA IS SO GODDAMN HARD TO GET AHOLD OF, until Legends Arceus, that is!
And since I decided NOT to Nuzlocke my first run, I thought, what the heck, let's just use the Pokémon I love!
I also unironically LOVE Ursaluna, as soon as I saw it, I fell in love with its design, so awesome, I think I had already caught a Teddiursa at that point and added it to the team just to evolve it, but then I definitely needed to keep it, and Ursaring itself turned out to be REALLY powerful, never used one before.
Sadly I did not get a Peat Block until way late into the game when I finally finished the "Gone Astray..." questline, but Ursaring itself had been really good throughout the run, this just made it way more powerful. :3
And I chose Cyndaquil because I have not used Cyndaquil more than once, many years ago, while only recently having used a Rowlett and currently using an Oshawott in other runs.
And I love Hisuian Typhlosion's design the most out of the three starters, after seeing them all. So awesome.
I also did not know that the Starters actually HAD Hisuian final evolutions until the second day of playing, I believe, at least way later AFTER picking Cyndaquil. And I am happy with that decision, once knowing they had Hisuian evolutions, I expected Typhlosion to look great, and it does.

Tangrowth- good grass and coverage moves with bulk
-kleavor adds more coverage and its new!
- hisuian zoroark more coverage and new as well
- typhlosion (until forms are shown.)
Advantages:
only 2 super effective typings againsy my team, no half my team being weak to a type.
Offensive coverage covers 60 total types across my 5 team members, all 6 covering psychic and ghosts. Only issue is only 1 will cover dragon.
It seems like they are doing the sword and shield approach with these new games, that being save most of the good stuff for the main game and keeping other stuff for the actual game
With the team builder, there's an option to select custom types
(Also thanks for ranking)
i got an idea for video once legends arkoos comes out. what happened from hisui to sinnoh, talk about the history, what happened to settlements and landmarks, and what happened to the regional forms?
With all the minor improvements in animation we’ve seen in Arceus it might be time for typhlosion to get an updated 3D model, assuming it’s not a hisuian form
I only got really into pokemon this year , playing a lot of games and such , and I got sword and shield a week ago , I didn't know pokemon can be that "technical" u need to know a lot of stuff lmao
There's a lot of technical aspects to Pokémon, but don't let that deter you. Perfectly possible to play and enjoy without caring too much about all the in-depth mechanics.
Same bro I got back into seeing cinderace as a new starter and loved it played through bdsp and I'm pumped for legends of arkoos
2022 or 2021??
@@LimeLoaf 2021 , I loved the games since I was like 12
I played fire red a lot and actually got a shiny ferrow , but I wasn't aware of any other mechanics of pokemon other than some type advantages
@@IAmMissingnoMaster yeah I know , I played a lot of fire red when I was a kid, but I gotta say that knowing all this things is really exciting in a way , like sitting down and thinking of let's say a team composition is somthimg that I found to be super fun to me . And almost everything I know is from Michael and smallant
Good news the starters are getting new forms. Samurott is now water and dark type, typhlosion is now fire and ghost type, and finally decidueye is grass and fighting type
Honestly, I'm going in mostly blind for my team, the only one's I have guaranteed for my team are Samurott and Arcanine
I'm going with at least Oshawott, Hisuian Zoroark, and the Stantler evo.
Same water dark is just such a cool typing and the supposed designs for it seem awesome Oshawatt is adorable too so just a great starter
Drinking game: take a shot every time Michael says some form of “the starter will probably get hisuian forms”
With how this game was structured you really didn't need to worry about having a super balanced team as long as their moves are balanced enough. None of the battles ended up being too hard and I just use the 6 I like the most. "Have fun and train how you want" is kind of the sentiment of PLA and I love it
Yeah, there's not that much emphasis on battling in this game.
That's obviously something they will address in mainline games while keeping the open world(ish) environment
@shiny the braviary yup
@shiny the braviary good thing I had a relatively balanced team because: oh boy, there are some peaks in this game where you suddenly run into a buzz saw. The first time I faced *mystery person* (Spoiler don't open) in that tunnel I was heavily underleveled and had absolutely NO chance. Spoiler revelation: Mubeshi. That mfer came out of nowhere.
And I only played until the first finale and I kind of spoiled myself in reddit so I already know what awaits me in the second finale (Volo) (and then there's still Arceus)
Rowlet only
I love oshowatt but i also want to use hisuian typhloison but there isn’t co op so I sadly can’t get oshowatt 😢 but here’s my team I’m planning when I’m gonna finish the game
1. Hisuian typhlosion
2. Luxray
3. Electivire
4 infernape/empoleoj both would be good
5 hisuian arcinine
6 hisuian braviary
Also illl try and find a wild one for my playthrpugh
EMPOLEON DOES NOT END WITH A J, IT ENDS WITH AN N! THE I IN TYPHLOSION SHOULD BE AFTER THE S THE SECOND TIME! IT'S OSHAWOTT, NOT OSHOWATT! AND AGAIN, ARCANINE IS SPELLED WITH 2 A'S, NOT 2 I'S!
Oops I forgot to check the end of empoleon on because I accidentally pressed j and also didn’t realize those mistakes
@@TheOshowatKing And also, the second P in playthrough is supposed to be an O!

My team would be:
Deciduye: Honestly, i like all three of the starters, but a grass type would just be perfect for my team.
Mamoswine: I like mammoths.
Tyranitar: a dark type is all I need
Gardevoir: it gives a lot of coverage and is just fun to use
Machamp: my favourite fighting type I would 100% use it even if I had to trade evolve it.
Infernape: Need a fire and fighting type soooo
Tyranitar and Ludicole are not in the Pokédex in Legends Arceus sadly.
Typhlosion (My SoulSilver starter, my second Pokémon game)
Staraptor
Gardevoir
Garchomp
Honchkrow (Will swap out for Darkrai when the event is released because Darkrai is my favourite Pokémon)
Luxray (Will probably swap out for Arceus or Zoroark. Zoroa was one of my favourite Pokémon from Black, my first Pokémon game, and it stuck with me til the end evolving into Zoroark.)
I wanted to fit a Water type so maybe swapping Staraptor for Empoleon would help.
Never finished this video wondered why. Started it from the beginning again. Oh that's why.
Glaceon is my favorite pokemon. It has a space on every and all teams. :(
My list is work-in-progress due Starters... But to summarize? I plan to go with Full Ghost.
1. Typhlosion or Decidieye (depending if they have Ghost type as Final Evolutionary state.)
2. Basculegion (Water/Ghost, and it has quite a nice look to it)
3. Zoroark-Hisui (Will be Signature Pokemon, you KNOW I will be running that Zorua mask the whole game.)
4. Froslass (...I mean come on. Ice-Ghost that looks like Yuki-Onna? Instant pick for the team, both aesthetic wise and variety.)
5. Mismagius (Very likely to be in the game, can handle coverage of Thunder moves)
6. Drifblim (A filler.)
If Available: Spiritomb, Normal Decidieye depending availability. First one is... Something I'm bit iffy about, but it would work aesthetically.
Yes, I know... Ghost and Dark-Types would give me a lot trouble, as unless I use Spiritomb the whole team is weak to it.
But, it will be a risk I am willing to take and work around.
My team that I'm thinking of using is
Hisuian Decideye - Grass / Fighting
Hisuian Zoroark - Normal / Ghost
Hisuian Goodra - Dragon / Steel
Hisuian Arcanine - Fire / Rock
Hisuian Braviary - Psychic / Flying
Basculegion - Water / Ghost
If I had a Switch and could play the game then my team would be:
Cyndaquil, or maybe Oshuwatt depending on the evolution
Purrugly
Luxray
Vaporeon, Leafeon, or one of the other new ones we haven't seen
Zoruark
Kleavor
woah i havent watched in a while and all of a sudden you have a beard and a mustache! looks great!
12:10 ‘my cyndia that starts Legends knowing Rollout’ We’re good
I thought I commented asking if you were planning to do this for ScarVi, but I don’t see my comment, so here it is again just in case! I’d love to see one of these episodes for those games. Loving your content. :)
This is very unrelated to the video, but whatever. Remember the Gym Leader teams you did a while back? You were pretty strict about their pokedex limitations. What would they have been if there were no restrictions besides legends. Basically, a team of six from across all generations. Just thought I'd suggest that
Here's my team :
Hisuian Typhlosion (Favourite starter)
Lopunny (Never really used one but thought why the hell not)
Staraptor (Easily my favourite regional bird, well second now)
Luxray (Wanted something new but couldn't resist)
Floatzel (Favourite water type)
Roserade (Needed a special attacker)
I don't really care for a balanced team abd just put together pokemon i like, but after putting it into this website it actually came out pretty well. Only type i have problems with is electric types.
Here's my team for Legends Arceus.
SPOILER WARNING:
1. Hisuian Samurott (Water/Dark)
2. Hisuian Arcanine (Fire/Rock)
3. Hisuian Lilligant (Grass/Fighting)
4. Hisuian Braviary (Psychic/Flying)
5. Hisuian Zoroark (Normal/Ghost)
6. Hisuian Goodra (Dragon/Steel)
I also made teams for the other two starters if I ever want to playthrough again:
1. Hisuian Decidueye (Grass/Fighting)
2. Hisuian Arcanine (Fire/Rock)
3. Basculegion (Water/Ghost)
4. Wyrdeer (Normal/Psychic)
5. Overqwil (Dark/Poison)
6. Hisuian Goodra (Dragon/Steel)
1. Hisuian Typhlosion (Fire/Ghost)
2. Walrein (Ice/Water)
3. Hisuian Electrode (Electric/Grass)
4. Hisuian Braviary (Psychic/Flying)
5. Sneasler (Poison/Fighting)
6. Kleavor (Bug/Rock)
I know there are some repeats from my first team but frankly I don't care.
I want to use
1.typhlosion
2.H.Electrode{Mow Rotom}
3.Garchomp
4.Infernape
5.H.Braviary{Swoobat}
6.H. Basculegion{Jellicent}
Mikey: more pokemon plushies are the last thing i need
The 50+ pokemon plushies behind him: sorry what was that?
Me: *watches a video from you for the first time in a year*
Also Me: WHAT THE HELL WHEN DID YOU GET A BEARD
How even and good do you think this team is? Sneasler: poison fighting, electrode: grass electric, samurott: dark water, zoroark: ghost normal, gliscor: ground flying, and finally goodra: steel dragon
I'm prolly going with
Samurott
Hisuian Arcanine
Zoroark
Alolan Ninetales
Luxray
Lucario
And others on my list that i WANT to use is Garchomp, Mismagius, and Froslass. I play with Pokémon i love the designs of i don't go by typings
I thought I saw an article confirming the start final evolutions were
Fire/Ghost for Typhlosion
Dark/Water for Samurott
Grass/Fighting for Decidueye
Holy ####, I just realsed as I typed this that these type match ups make sense because it still makes the starters have the same type match up weaknesses (well with ghost being immune to fighting)
I think I would make up a team like this:
-Samurott
-Hisuian Braviary
-Lucario or Hisuian Goodra (still don't know)
-Glaceon or Sylveon (also haven't decided)
-Hisuin Lilligant or Hisuian Elctrode(I'm not good at choosing😀)
-Hisuian Zoroark
There should be 3 E's in Electrode!
It terrifies me how well he can emulate a convo with himself for the add break
My team, now that the game is out and I have it: Hisuian Decidueye, Basculegion, Hisuian Arcanine, Kleavor, Ursaluna, and Hisuian Goodra. I have no clue what its type coverage is I just like the Pokémon.
We DO NOT use the word its as a pronoun if there's an apostrophe in it!
@@Amelia4111 I fixed it. Happy?
