*Things I learned after this video came out* - Random guy is Jayce - Caitlyn gets the same black letter as Renni (chem-baron Ambessa kills) which is an invitation to the memorial. Renni hands this letter to the guard when she gets there - I give the impression that I think Janna isnt real, not true hah, Janna is real. I just think she will stay abstract for the rest of the season but I hope sh does show up - Harold shows up again! 17:52 - People think Smeech is a Yordle. I think Smeech is a Chirean. - two headed dog is a Murkwolf - people think Zaun gray face is Fiddlesticks. I don't think so since its missing the red eyes which are hallmark fiddlesticks in all of his appearances.
lore inaccuracies and mistakes you made: mel does not wear armor, it's tattoos possibly targonian but most likely shuriman since ambessa's bio states of her ties in shurima and not targon, ambessa lives in noxus at the border to shurima, targon is too far of a stretch and based on the map ambessa's waaaaaay too far from targon it's not zac, zac is not the grey, the grey is a natural consequence of oshravazaun's explosions in the fissures meanwhile zac is an experiment, Zaunite Autonomous Combatant, the faces and eyes of the grey are all just artistic stuff, as for what smeech's guy saw is yet to be confirmed and also had me confused if it were cait's strike force or something else the two-headed dog is a greater murkwolf yordles are technically not from the spirit realm, they're like in between the mortal and spirit realm, they're the very essence of magic itself in runeterra so they're more like in their own realm also, yordles do not derive strength from hope and happiness, they are primordial beings of pure magic and demons do not only feast on negative emotions, they feed on emotion itself, there's literally a demon that feasts on happiness ashlesh, one of the ten demon kings similar to fiddlesticks, has a pact with nilah, similar to the pact with swain and raum fizz only went into a coma due to shock and loneliness since yordles are social creatures, which is why the yordle vex is unique since she's the only yordle that's depressed since she sees no meaning in life and hates it since they can't die anyway not all runic blades nullify magic, riven's runic blade has runes and it doesn't nullify magic, heck it even has magic itself, how else is it able to be reforged and held together after being shattered to pieces? the rune weapons are magic infused, and the black rose themselves are the one's collecting AND creating runic weapons leblanc is multiple entities, amara could or could not be leblanc no, noxus has not invaded ixtal, never in the lore has that happened, nobody in runeterra knows that ixtal exists except for ixtal, skarner will never let that happen the only people able to get close was piltovan explorers looking for hex crystals
Zaun, which used to be Oshravazaun, worshipped Janna, a Shuriman spirit/entity. Whether Arcane writes her into a bygone myth of zaun (which she has become) or just a mascot to represent the clean air coursing throughout zaun, is yet to be determined... But a nod to lore that is deeply appreciated
The hexcore was merged with shimmer, shimmer forces you to evolve and I'm pretty sure it is connected to the void, that means Skie wasn't killed, but absorbed, that means what Viktor is seeing, could actually be traces of the real Skie merged with the void
In Season 1 when Singed is working on shimmer, you can see in the lab a purple heart. I'm pretty sure shimmer is made out from voidborn organs/blood and thus corrupted with the void, which is what allows living matter to change.
I have been seeing a lot of people connecting shimmer to the void but j am not seeing it. Other then it being purple what makes you think its void related? The traces of sky in the hex core is something that makes me wonder for sure! That is a possibility, and one that would be great to see play out in the rest of S2
@@MagicButterfly549 It kinda looks like the plant that singed was feeding Rio (the giant Axolotl). It kinda makes sense that it's a voidborn since the void seems to come out from underground. (howling abyss, Icathia, Scarner, Bel'Veth's Lair, Rize cinematic, cinematics involving Kai'Sa). If there is a void rift under Zaun that would be catastrophic.
Glad you called out the all-too-convenient introduction of Maddie and the fake snoozer with Vi. I totally missed some moments in my watch through, I really wonder how Ambessa will fall or what the line is. I hadn't realized she orchestrated the attack at the memorial, that's insane if Caitlyn finds out maybe she will use that to fight against Ambessa's influence. Cheers to Harold.
the fake snoozer's name is Loris! i don't think he has any bad motives (hopefully) cus in the geeked week trailer we see Vì getting all drunk and Loris was the only one there for her
@@hannaht6508 the literal first scene of the show, in which you see an enforcer brutally killing Zaunites, that enforcer turns his head, you see his face. that's all im going to say on the matter
@cazza710 at no point in the literal first scene of the show do any of the enforcers show their face cause they all have their helmets on, so idk wtf you're smoking but you are wrong
@@entgrove I think he's gonna be away somewhere for a while. My guess is that him Ekko and Heimer got warped somewhere when Jayce touched the wild rune.
10:14 That book is actually Sky's research. Just before she died in season 1, she talked about how she had something she was working on. I think it'll come up later in this season.
The design on the cover of Skye's notebook is significant. In game, there are five Rune tables the player can select from that tailor their playstyle: Precision, Domination, Sorcery, Resolve, and Inspiration. The Hex Core rune matrix contains the first four. In Season 1, Viktor despairs that the Hex Core's function of mutating life is not stable, as if he's missing some aspect of the power. The symbol on Skye's notebook corresponds with the in-game symbol for the Inspiration rune table (which is missing from the Core). Clearly, the missing piece is Skye's research and the Inspiration she provides (posthumously). What effect the fully-realized Hex Core might have is uncertain, for good or for ill.
@@entgrove They're her research around using the hexcore to repair organic life, in order to help the undercity. I think we see many drawings of plants and whatever, and this journal appeared on screen not long after the first experiments on plants were done (and failed).
I don't think Maddi is some evil mastermind. With characters like this there is basically only 2 path to go: 1. She represents the innocent, the 'good' on the Piltover side. Which means she will die and her death will prompt the protagonist to advance the story. 2. She starts out as innocent girl, then through out the season become progressively more hawkish, whether through propaganda brainwashing or the death of a close friend (that Vastaya who saved her with an axe maybe?). And by her drastic change she does something unforgivable, and the shock of witnessing it shocks our protagonist (Caitlyn) who was teetering on the edge of the same abyss, and snaps her out of the darkness and returns her to the light. I'm guessing the second path here.
Yeah, I feel like Maddie is just genuinely a good person. I mean just look at her, she's a cinnamon roll compared to some of the other Enforcers. The propaganda brainwashing could be what happens, since she seems to idolize Caitlyn and is the first Enforcer to start doing the Noxian salute, and the only one with a positive look on her face.
I kind of assumed the first time I saw her that she was going to let the audience get attached then die to further the plot-- specifically to push Vi to side more with piltover and the enforcers since Vi's endgame is basically a symbol for corrupt law enforcement, so like, Maddie being symbolic to good people in the system dying to the fault of the "bad guys" (zaunites) pushing her to think the worst of them and making her want revenge (?) it's a reach but idk that was just my perspective, I could be way off
something is certainly not clear with Maddie. Sie is a junior officer but for some reason is tasked guarding the councilmembers and later is part of the elite strikeforce. you don't but a rooky into important positions such as those.
@@calronkeltaran493 It's possible she could've been held back from a proper promotion, what with Marcus being sheriff. As for guarding the council members, she and her partner were more the drivers than anything, the more fully kitted enforcers acting as the actual guards. For being on the strike team, despite being green, she proved herself in the attack on the memorial. She, her partner, Steb, and the big guy, Loris, all were the last standing beside Caitlyn against the Chemtanks before Ambessa had her troops "save" them. You don't do stuff like that with a rookie very often, but if that rookie has proved themselves capable, then it's best to, at minimum, consider them a candidate for recruitment to the team.
I don't think that hexcore manipulates Viktor exactly, why would it want him to get Sky's book with her some kind of research (that's the same book she was holding while on her way to Viktor right before she got consumed)? I think that hexcore "evolved" yet again after consuming Sky and assimilated her with itself, so in a way - hexcore is Sky, and that's why he sees her as a ghost everytime, hexcore just materialises her as a way to communicate with him. Hexcore now wants what Sky wanted the most in it's own twisted, arcane way - to help people of the underground. Which will most likely end up tragic, but we'll see
The hex core assimilating sky is an interesting possibility. She did have something in those notes for viktor. Maybe she is still trying to get it to him
This is the first time I’ve seen a “stuff you’ve missed” video that has stuff that most people would have missed while watching, and adds a lot of insight to characters and what could be future events. Great work
It’s just the first worst case scenario that came to mind 🤣🤣 Someone else was saying they wonder what happened to Viktor during all this bugging out of hextech wich is interesting to think about
The two-headed dog thing: The murkwolves. Singed travelled to the mountain range a little north of Piltover to find the wolves. It would make sense within the scope of the world for Vi to have the wolf heads on her jacket, just because they're just a part of the fauna of Runeterra.
I could just be a coincidence, but there may be a connection there. We have never seen a two headed creature before now and all the sudden Vi has a jacket with its symbol on the back.
@@entgroveI think you definitely have some good points! It's of course all related, but in the Fortiche story way, most likely. Wolves and the color red are also tied to Ambessa, don't forget that too, so that could also add another deeper layer. I love lore immensely lol.
The biggest question mark for me after part 1 is definitely the 3 enforcers in the strike force. We’ve never seen them before, I’m pretty sure the two guys’ names haven’t been said out loud yet. So why are these 3 people we don’t know at all on cait’s elite strike force? Why is Maddie JUNIOR OFFICER Nolan on cait’s elite strike force?
You can find out their names in the TFT tab, Into the Arcane, and they also have a short description. Maddie - She's not afraid to shoot her shot. Steb (the vastayan?) - The noblest hearts are often the quietest. Loris (the drunk one) - Everyone needs someone to lean on.
This "stuff you missed" video is great!! it covered a lot of things I, and probably many others, missed! you didn’t just point out the stuff; you dove deeper, which gave me a much clearer understanding of everything happening right now. For example, I didn’t find the fake snoozer and Maddie girl suspicious at all, but it turns out they were definitely up to something. Ambessa's situation and her choices make way more sense to me now. this channel is seriously underrated, and I’m definitely subscribing!
I don't understand Ambessa's willingness to let Jayce die in the plot. If her primary motivation is to weaponize hextech, Jayce is the ONE GUY she absolutely needs alive since he's the only person thus far who has forged hextech weapons, EVER. She can't rely on Viktor bc (a) hes out of commission and (b) he's as far as she's aware terminally ill. And she cant rely on Heimerdinger bc he's immune to all of her political whims.
I think if Jayce dies he tech just becomes the councils responsibility (with the help of some engineers of course) so maybe him dying isn’t much co sequence? Good question tho
@@celestialthearch8535 Nothing against the rest of Piltover’s engineers, but I’m fairly certain it would take a miracle for anyone but Jayce Vik and Heim (and Ekko, but he doesn’t count in this scenario) to even understand the notes. Jayce is especially equipped to forge hextech weapons bc (a) he’s the leading mind on hextech, (b) he was already familiar with forge work due to his family trade, and (c) like I said he’s the only one who’s done it before.
@@raccoonwizard jinx cracked hex tech in days (yes she's brilliant). i'm sure ambessa has engineers from noxus that could grasp hex tech with the help of jayce and viktor's notes eventually
Smeech made a deal with Caitlin’s strike team to lead them to Jinx. That’s why they know she is at the arcade after they follow her from the Last Drop.
I agree. Smeech was distracted at the meeting because he was hiding the deal he made with the strike team, likely weighing his options. Smeech mentions several times he likes to make deals. Without making a deal with the strike team, how would he know they just wanted Jinx? He had to have made a deal with someone. Later, when confronting jinx, smeech said "right through their fingers, you must be part eel. Just means I can up my finders fee" alluding to the deal he previously made with the strike team, and was going to charge more now that she got away, and how he even knew that she escaped them in the first place. Finally, the strike team recognized the accountant as one of smeech's men, who would've been the first to make contact with the strike team. How else would they know he worked for smeech?
I don't think Mel's protection is armor in the traditional sense - look at the Ambessa music video, she even has it in utero, and it's seemingly what stopped Ambessa from dying there.
The way I see it is that it's some familial trait of the Medarda's. When about to die, the Kindred come to collect their due but give you one chance to fight for your life. I believe Mel went through something similar to Ambessa's fight vs bizarro pantheon and emerged victorious
Bro, ik we all wanna see the main story focus on Vi and Jinx's/Piltover and Zaun's conflict...But I got this feeling that Viktor might become the final boss of Arcane... 😭
In the final fight scene, these voices in the background are prayers to Janna in Shurima "Behind these walls, the storm's fury grows Beyond the land and the sea, the storm's fury grows" "But I have nothing to fear" "For the blue wings are with me" This detail is so good
I'm pretty sure it was Leblanc possessing Amara, as that was her kind of whole thing. She's all about tricking people with illusions and other stuff alike. She definitely would have the power to do it as well.
A good theory about the three light in the Grey I saw on Twitter is that it could be Janna, once again saving her people from the Grey. If you look at her staff in the mural where Vi and Jinx fight, it has the same three orbs on her staff that match up with the light that Smeech's guy sees. It'd make sense as she originally saved them from it until Caitlyn's mom created the vents to shut it off for Zaun to live better, but now that it's being released by Caitlyn, Janna has come back to save the people. It also adds up to it not being the enforcer group as they've never met him.
I personally think that Smeech's guy encountered Cait and crew in the gray, since we see in the ep.3 intro that they attacked Margot's hideout and Smeech's gang stumbled upon the aftermath. It also makes sense considering that; after this, during the chem-baron meeting, Smeech is spooked but he doesn't acknowledge it, seemingly hiding it, and he has become _weirdly insistent_ on selling Jinx out to the enforcers. It also just so happens that after he follows Jinx to the arcade/practice range, it's Cait and her squad who show up there, with Smeech waiting outside behind the building. We also know he likes to make deals when desperate, was apparently talking about Jinx being at the arcade before going there himself _(Sevika says _*_'he can't keep his mouth shut'_*_ when asked how she knew where Jinx was)_ and Cait immediately knew Heenot was one of Smeech's men. This all leads me to believe that Smeech's gang encountered Cait and her squad at Margot's hideout _(Margot also seemed to be under the assumption that Chross was responsible for that attack iirc)_ and Smeech agreed to give them Jinx to save his own hide, and told them she was at the arcade. Granted, Arcane is my only experience with LoL so if it's something outside of that then It's a complete mystery to me lol this just seems like what the episode implied
The only thing that gets me is when the enforcers find smeechs man hanging upside down they all seem like its the first time they have met. Makes me think its not them. I am sure they will explain it in future episodes. There is more to this
@@entgrove maybe, I just assumed that was either due to the unrecognizable shape he was in lol or that they ended up mostly interacting with Smeech. I kinda doubt he'd let his accountant do his talking for him, considering he's the kind of guy who likes to get in close lol. That said, you're not wrong tho, so idk. Maybe Heenot just fainted after first seeing them and so wasn't there for their interacting lol ya never know
Margot and Chross, and Smeech, seemed to be fighting before Vi and Cait's team attacked Margot's place. Why else would Sevika be mentioning the turf wars like they've been happening for days when the hideout raid was presumably mere hours beforehand?
@@entgrove They dont really act like they dont know. They literally say they know he works for Smeech. I think they told Smeech and him to get Jinx. As Caitlyn mentions, they want Jinx, Shimmer and people loyal to Silco. Smeech is just a chemtech baron. They are just confused what he is doing there. Jinx probably figured out too that Smeech led them to her so he used him at that point to tell the plan to Cait and Vi
Jinx repairing Clagger's glasses. "Vi used to say I could fix anything, until I broke everything." It's something I can fix," These scenes that were played at separate times reveals beautiful the depth of her regret over Clagger’s death when they are put together. She’s painfully aware of what she did which she cannot undo. This scene beautifully illustrates that, despite her hatred for Mylo, Jinx genuinely cared for Clagger. The series hints at this in subtle ways, like her avoiding shooting Clagger's doll when she was stressed, even shooting Mylo's instead. Although Clagger was physically the largest, his doll is the smallest, suggesting that Jinx saw him as innocent and almost childlike. When Vi mentions Clagger in the same scene, Jinx’s hallucination shows him smiling supportively, contrasting with Mylo and the others who seem harsh and judgmental. It’s these intricate, symbolic details that make Arcane a masterpiece. The creators’ commitment to storytelling shines in every small, meaningful choice, building a layered, emotional experience.
10:30 Viktor clearly saw scheme of Caitliyn hextech ryfle done by Jayce, thats why he said - we had dreams... and thats why he decided to leave Jayce all at once
I have a theory about the Grey. Fiddlestick usually took form of what people fear. In regions like Zaun, toxic gas could bring fear to a lot of people. This could be a subtle hint that Fiddlestick probably use this form before when it hunted in Zaun.
@@entgrove I wouldn't say it's Fiddlestick itself. But more like a reference to it. People personified the gas as some demon. Fiddlestick would play into that mythos easily.
Janna fan here and i think it's impossible that Piltolver made Janna just to give hope to the people of Zaun. The temple that Jinx fights in exists before Zaun was Zaun, because before Zaun was a Shuriman city. However, the temple sank because of all the maintenance that Piltolver did. Just the fact that Jinx says it's bullshit means Janna is real and I think we might get a small appearance from her
To support your point about Maddie, I just saw a video of Amanda Overton who is one of the writers for arcane. She said we will “both love and hate maddie for all the right reasons” 👀
The letter Cait receives in the first episode has the same colour and stamp of the letter given to Renni by Ambessa's second in command. I think there's something we're missing about Caitlyn. We don't know what was written and she may have known some of the things that would happen
that letter was about the memorial. watch the memorial scene again and you’ll see the pennant from the letter being worn by people in the crowd. mel’s got one on too. ambessa didn’t write those letters, she just used one to lure the chem baron to the memorial & help with her disguise.
@@umbreonic766 She didn't use the letter to lure them in, the letter is an invitation, so when she got there with her face covered up she showed the letter and was let in. Also (Cait's) letter contains a black badge which in some European countries, including mine, is worn by the family of the deceased for a month as a sign of mourning.
@@Abii140ah that’s what i meant by lure them in. give them the invitation and thus access to the memorial to conduct their act of terrorism & specifically, to get revenge on jayce. interesting about the badge though, i assumed it was a symbol of grief but it’s cool they’re basing it off of a real life custom
Oh, Arcane! Isn’t it like watching a plain bowl of oatmeal transform into a luxurious royal feast? Where does one even begin when talking about it? Isn’t this show a perfect blend of visual art and an emotional rollercoaster? How is the animation so breathtaking that every frame feels like a painting? Isn’t it amazing how Studio Fortiche has created a unique mix of 2D and 3D animation, giving Piltover and Zaun their distinct atmospheres - one glowing with steampunk gold and the other drenched in dark neon hues? And what about the characters? Have we ever seen such deeply complex figures in an animated series before? How can you not be moved by Vi and Jinx’s sibling dynamic? Don’t you feel their pain and love radiating through every scene? And Silco - how is it possible for a villain to be so captivating, with his strong vision for Zaun and his almost fatherly relationship with Jinx? Isn’t it incredible how the story tackles themes like power, class struggle, and family so flawlessly? And doesn’t it feel so satisfying to see every single plot detail come together seamlessly? And then there’s the music - isn’t it impossible to imagine Arcane without its phenomenal soundtrack? How do scenes like the showdown between Jinx and Ekko hit so hard, thanks to the perfect timing of the music? If there’s anything to criticize, isn’t it just that massive cliffhanger at the end? And doesn’t that only make you even more excited for season 2? Isn’t Arcane more than just a show - isn’t it a revolution in animation and video game storytelling? And how can anyone not have seen it yet if they haven’t already?
thank you so much! im new to league of legends and did notice very little references but knew there was so much more and you explained it so well for us newbies. cant wait for the rest of S2
I feel like Jayce dying would be awful for Ambessa's plans, he's one of the 3 people alive that would know how to make hex tech weapons and there's just no way she could've gotten Jinx or Viktor to cooperate.
My guess is she would pull in some noxians to finish it. The hardest part was figuring out how to change the hex crystal to something stable, the hextech gemstone. The reason nobody can create is because accesses to jayce’s research and lab are limited. Maybe with Jayce gone, and there is no way of convincing jayce, she can get her own brains on it
The fake sleeper is almost certainly from bildgewater. Could line up with the vastayan merfolk looking guy too. Maddie doesn't really look like shes from blidgewater but the other two almost certainly are.
Piltover is the single most cosmopolitan place in the world. You have a dozen different accents (at minimum), all different human ethnicities, a handful of different species, and a shockingly libertine social conscience. I'd place very little significace in the ethnic origin of any characters in Arcane (except the Yordles because they're innately important people). Noxus is probably similarly diverse to Piltover due to their conquests, but they likely aren't friendly to non-humans. I don't remember seeing any non-human Noxian characters ever depicted in League media (except for Kled but he's the one example of an irrelevant and completely insignificant Yordle since he's a joke character).
@@joshuafischer684 appreciate the insight, i’m not nearly as well versed in the lore as I’d like to be lol. There’s so much i want to look deeper into.
@@joshuafischer684I believe Noxian are ok with non-human. Kled (allegedly) partipate in every noxian war ever, and he's around ever since it's fouding.
I think the Zaun Grey was just a metaphor for how the Zaunites see the enforcers as monsters and it’s really clever. You’re supposed to think oh my god it’s a monster and then later when Vi reveals they’re using the smoke to move you realise it was just the enforcers. I think it was a cool way to put us back in their shoes after the first episode. Maybe you’re right but I really think that’s it. Also I’m 100 percent sure amara at that moment was le blanc and she is possessing people with magic to do her bidding that’s why Mel’s assistant changed to her voice too
Janna is real in lore. Her power comes from peoples belief in her, the air purification system weakens her since the people no longer need her. In the dialogue in arcane, it's mentioned these are more ancient ruins, which is likely to acknowledge it was there before the purification system. It's also the only place the grey didn't follow, meaning it's pretty counter to the kiramman's own system.
O I definitely think Janna is real. I just don't know if she will show up in arcane anymore. If she isn't the 3 eyed creature in the gray that smeechs guy comes across (I don't think it is, but its possible) than I think Janna will remain a mysterious what if for arcane
@@YuumiTrashif we're going to do a barbecue, what if janna was containing fiddlesticks in the grey. People were saying for a few frames it looked like fiddles scarecrow face was visible in the fog, and caits family archive showed a demon in the smoke ( i dont believe any of this is true). Would be alot of extra to handle in just 6 episodes
In my opinion, the next show should definitely explore noxus hiring singed to gas and invade ionia, transitioning into another region while staying somewhat connected to what we already know in the arcane world. Also i think the white haired people are the hemomancers (Vladimir cult), it would make sense because they are a part of the black rose as well
During the assasination scene you can also see Mel's armour glowing and the fact that the fake police officer conviently does not kill her is kind of a foreshadowing that her mother is behind it.
When they unleashed the grey into Jinx and Vi's old hangout, you can actually see Fiddlesticks face in the smog for a moment, so I think the being here isn't necessarily zac but instead the incarnation of fear himself puppet-ting something to cause people fear. After all, the grey has stories tied to it clearly, and it seems like something forced Janna from her temples.
alot of people saying Fiddlesticks but a hallmark of fiddle is glowing red eyes in all of his appearances. Thats the only reason I dont think its him. Red Eyes would have made it 100% fiddle
I think the Grey is a creature cause this toxic air and I think Smeech saw that creature that's why he was schock. (I don't think these were enforcers) I think in the Jinx and enforcers's scene this face is just a reference to this creature. I want to learn more about this creature like how it's born? What does it look like? Act 2 is going to be so good! Can't wait to see! This video was so good man great job
The question remains as to whether the face in the Grey we see in Ep. 2 is a stylistic choice or something more significant. It's not beyond reason for Zaun to personify the Grey, even though in most of the old lore it was simply mundane air pollution.
The thing in the Grey was Caitlyn and Vi's strike team. We see them depicted in the same style when they investigate the old arcade Vi and Jinx used to play in with their brothers. Smeech probably assumed it was a monster since not even Zaunites can stand the Grey. That said, the scene at the arcade where the Grey wafts so it has a face, definitely stylistic choice, since it is a form of pollution even the Zaunites fear.
Also idk if anyone else has said this or knows but the Gold on Mel are tattoos not armor. Hence why they nvr come off and can be seen during her and Jayce’s scene in S1
15:04 The way I Interpreted Ambessa saying that her suspicions were confirmed is that by trying to stop her, it validates the idea that the power of hextech could be strong enough to defeat the Black Rose otherwise they wouldn’t care enough to interfere
I somehow never made the connection that what warped the hexocre was the shimmer. So the hexcore is now a shimmer junkie who pushes viktor to become machine jesus so that it can get its fix from consuming the other junkie's addiction. Dope
I've watched these 3 episodes 3 times already and it's wild how each time I notice more and more details Arcane is truly an amazing show and you are amazing for making some quality content please keep cookin🔥🔥
The "Ambessa purposefully involved the one chem baron who'd go straight for Jayce" is not a dot I connected but by god is that glorious. Your entire analysis was very pleasant to listen to, straight and to the point without unnecessary music or loud shouts, or in general small annoyances found in the biggest channels. Giant props to you!
Also, in the scene where we see the destroyed council chamber and the debate over what to do next, there's an overhead shot of the floor. There's cracks all across the floor except for a perfect circle where it's still smooth. That could be an explanation for how Mel and Jayce are fine, despite being right in front of the explosion, while other people were dead on the spot. Another thing that goes towards Mel's gold armour being magical.
Also Isha does have some resemblance to the other characters when they were younger such as powder’s innocence, Vi’s initiative, Ekko’s sneaky sneaky, Mylo’s features, and Clagor’s goggles(on her helmet)
If you watch the overhead shot of the council room at the end of salo and Mel’s 2 to 1 talk you can see a ring of the room where there is no damage to the ground where Mel and jayce were sitting. I have seen no one talk about it
I feel like your video are so much better than the typical click bait youtubers that just farm views when a show gets popular. I think you're smart to title your videos like them though I just want to point out I'm not sure I would have clicked on them if not for them auto playing when I was already in the middle of a league game lol. I'm definitely glad it did though consistently the best arcane videos I've seen.
5:53 when Caitlin is going over her family history, you see her face with a shadow that looks like Kindred behind it. It was more of the wolf atp, but it brings together her lamb that we saw last season.
@@entgrovePause it on the timemark, or at 5:51 and the silhouette behind def gives me Wolf vibes, a they are known for their subtleties. Also, the Lamb masked person being in the Brothel, along with Ambessa being chosen by the wolf and then Ambessa choosing Caitlin. I think there is enough data to qualify this as a theory.
I think the Grey showing the eyes may potentially be used for twitch? Lets say like the shimmer infested rat survived the lab exploding from Season 1 (We don't even know if it was still in the lab at this point as the rat was never shown again) potentially it escaped and now the "spirit" of the Grey mixes with this rat and forms the Twitch we all know today? The amount of times rat is referenced in the show as well as the amount of times rats are shown running away/with the grey was noticeable to me.
I would love to see Twitch in Arcane. My mind immediately goes to that rat singed was experimenting on as well. Rats and Crows are pretty common in Arcane. The crows make me wonder too, there is has been a lot of emphasis put on them
It could definitely be twitch. I also thought the face in the grey looks eerily similar to Fiddlesticks. All the weird shapeshifting matches his character and how his form matches where he is. It's also worth pointing out that shimmer could be void corrupting hextech. Viktor takes shimmer and gets his blood both on the core and he bleeds onto the hexgate too. I heard that the lore includes a story about the void having a gate deep below Zaun, but I've yet to confirm that. I've also seen some cool theories that Jayce or Viktor are the mage who saved young Jayce and his mother. There's some time warping stuff going on with the hexgate and it helps explain how Ekko and Heim design the Z drive. Oh and did you notice the music box notes when Singed has his pocket watch open? We see a picture of a girl in the locket in season 1 that is possibly his daughter Orianna and the music matches her theme in the game perfectly. He basically rebuilds her after she dies so I'm thinking Piltover killed her and they are using that to set up his motivations for being so evil. They've yet to give him a strong motive.
I still hope that guy is ryze honestly but this theory is interesting. I saw the clock in singed’s hands with his picture of the little girl. This has to be orianna I agree! I talk about her in my S2 characters prediction video!
Thank you for the LoL lore knowledge connections, Arcane needs more creators doing this. I had the same feeling about The Grey, there's no way that's just an effect, it has to be a champion or something, indicated by the faces in the Kiramman's Key slideshows etc.
First vid I see talking about Zac. It may be a stretch really but it WAS the first thing I thought when I saw the face on the green smoke. Also Singed taking a trip to the Freljord to hunt a murk wolf was wild 😂
I think you missed that Victor cured all the shimmer victims that were standing around him in the blast. They didn't take off their cloaks but all their pink and purple had turned to the light color affects.
I really love these kinds of videos and especially now because I have to wait until the next episodes come out I just want to hear what other people think could happen and explain stuff
I totally agree about those three enforcers being sus. When whoever it was said that someone on the inside let the zaunites into the memorial, I was like YUP TOTALLY THEM. Then it was revealed ambessa was behind it but I'm still not convinced they aren't doing something suspicious behind the scenes too.
for some reason i feel like, if/when they make another series, it will most likely be about Ionia i think it's the easiest way to hook in even more viewers because you have your standard pretty asia-inspired landscapes, anime-like stories (looking at you, Yasuo and Yone), and an actual engaging storyline like in Zed comics, plus the "continuation" of the whole Noxus shtick with the invasion and war although as much as i want to see Jhin animated in all of his serial killer glory, i kinda hope they go with Bilgewater instead, that area has so much more character imo
6:00 I honestly thought that was a reference Fiddlesticks, since it could be people feeling a sense of fear and dread from the Zaun Gray being sort of being personified
Smeech is a yordle though, so he’s a spiritual creature and is immortal as I understand? I’d imagine he just got “sent” back to bandle city or is in the progress of reincarnating in bandle city.
Great breakdown of the first 3 episodes.Really on point with the lure and Easter eggs. I was screaming when I saw Temo's helmet. Ashame no Draven though.
11:55 One thing I think is important to correct is that demons feed on all emotions, not just negative ones such as fear this is seen in Ashlesh, the demon of joy that Nilah is bound to I also want to note that yordles don't really feed on anything like demons do (at least it isn't said nor implied directly from what I remember), they are simply spirits that live forever and they don't gain power from happiness (Vex is the biggest example)
me: pfffttt im not obsessed with Arcane literally me having watched S1 5 times and S2 3 times: :3 (like how have i even done that its been out for 3 days!!!!)
The little girl that follows around Jinx is Isha, I only know this because of subtitles when Isha was whimpering on Jinx in ep3. I hope she becomes a character Jinx takes in because maybe she’ll remind Jinx enough of Powder to make a good decision.
Heimers wrench is his in game auto attack The revolver the girl had was or is the hextech revolver Jayce activating his canon was his ultimate (R) The turret Heimer had was his ability Vi charging her gauntlets was her E Cait shooting Jinx between her eyes was a refrence to her passive Headshot
Ambessa might have a poker face, and we obviously couldn’t know for certain until the show confirmed, but also like everything felt too convenient for her for me not to be incredibly suspicious that Ambessa was behind the attack. She only enters the fight when it’s basically over, and instantly kills the only remaining survivor that could have been interrogated. Not to mention that it plays directly into her hand, with Jayce almost dying, and the councils hand being forced towards war. Then we get the subtle undertones from the show that are at the time felt like they’re hinting at her involvement, or they want to lead us astray. But if you had asked me who was behind it, before they confirmed, I’m 100000% answering Ambessa.
Damn, when you said you're a small channel, I expected around 100k subs, but to see you have less than 2k is crazy. I'm definitely binging your channel today.
mel’s armor is def protecting her, i saw some people on twitter show the blast radius where her and jayce were completely unscathed while the rest of the council room is filled with cracks
*Things I learned after this video came out*
- Random guy is Jayce
- Caitlyn gets the same black letter as Renni (chem-baron Ambessa kills) which is an invitation to the memorial. Renni hands this letter to the guard when she gets there
- I give the impression that I think Janna isnt real, not true hah, Janna is real. I just think she will stay abstract for the rest of the season but I hope sh does show up
- Harold shows up again! 17:52
- People think Smeech is a Yordle. I think Smeech is a Chirean.
- two headed dog is a Murkwolf
- people think Zaun gray face is Fiddlesticks. I don't think so since its missing the red eyes which are hallmark fiddlesticks in all of his appearances.
lore inaccuracies and mistakes you made:
mel does not wear armor, it's tattoos
possibly targonian but most likely shuriman since ambessa's bio states of her ties in shurima and not targon, ambessa lives in noxus at the border to shurima, targon is too far of a stretch and based on the map ambessa's waaaaaay too far from targon
it's not zac, zac is not the grey, the grey is a natural consequence of oshravazaun's explosions in the fissures meanwhile zac is an experiment, Zaunite Autonomous Combatant, the faces and eyes of the grey are all just artistic stuff, as for what smeech's guy saw is yet to be confirmed and also had me confused if it were cait's strike force or something else
the two-headed dog is a greater murkwolf
yordles are technically not from the spirit realm, they're like in between the mortal and spirit realm, they're the very essence of magic itself in runeterra so they're more like in their own realm
also, yordles do not derive strength from hope and happiness, they are primordial beings of pure magic
and demons do not only feast on negative emotions, they feed on emotion itself, there's literally a demon that feasts on happiness
ashlesh, one of the ten demon kings similar to fiddlesticks, has a pact with nilah, similar to the pact with swain and raum
fizz only went into a coma due to shock and loneliness since yordles are social creatures, which is why the yordle vex is unique since she's the only yordle that's depressed since she sees no meaning in life and hates it since they can't die anyway
not all runic blades nullify magic, riven's runic blade has runes and it doesn't nullify magic, heck it even has magic itself, how else is it able to be reforged and held together after being shattered to pieces?
the rune weapons are magic infused, and the black rose themselves are the one's collecting AND creating runic weapons
leblanc is multiple entities, amara could or could not be leblanc
no, noxus has not invaded ixtal, never in the lore has that happened, nobody in runeterra knows that ixtal exists except for ixtal, skarner will never let that happen

the grey having monster features just seemed like flair for the viewers
i think skye is IN the hexcore and is guiding victor to help the shimmer addicts i dont think he's being manipulated
Maddie being a bad guy gives me Zootopia's sheep plot-twist
The hexcore was merged with shimmer, shimmer forces you to evolve and I'm pretty sure it is connected to the void, that means Skie wasn't killed, but absorbed, that means what Viktor is seeing, could actually be traces of the real Skie merged with the void
In Season 1 when Singed is working on shimmer, you can see in the lab a purple heart. I'm pretty sure shimmer is made out from voidborn organs/blood and thus corrupted with the void, which is what allows living matter to change.
That was my first thought as well, I'm so glad to see there's more and more Void Hextech truthers out there!
I have been seeing a lot of people connecting shimmer to the void but j am not seeing it. Other then it being purple what makes you think its void related?
The traces of sky in the hex core is something that makes me wonder for sure! That is a possibility, and one that would be great to see play out in the rest of S2
Wow iakgoing to look back for this, that would be insane!!
Harold!!! 😅 cheers sarah

Looking back I think it’s Jayce as well
@@entgrove I think he's gonna be away somewhere for a while. My guess is that him Ekko and Heimer got warped somewhere when Jayce touched the wild rune.
Haha yes. Your random guy might just be Jayce. I have good facial recognition so I thought that as soon as I saw the preview
@sorethoughts same here
The new Jayce skin on PBE servers can confirm this
10:14 That book is actually Sky's research. Just before she died in season 1, she talked about how she had something she was working on. I think it'll come up later in this season.
Just looked back and you are right! Have no idea what it could have been though

With characters like this there is basically only 2 path to go:
Her starting out good then taking a dark path is a possibility for sure. I know we will see a lot more maddi in these next few episodes 👀
I kind of assumed the first time I saw her that she was going to let the audience get attached then die to further the plot-- specifically to push Vi to side more with piltover and the enforcers since Vi's endgame is basically a symbol for corrupt law enforcement, so like, Maddie being symbolic to good people in the system dying to the fault of the "bad guys" (zaunites) pushing her to think the worst of them and making her want revenge (?) it's a reach but idk
that was just my perspective, I could be way off
something is certainly not clear with Maddie.
Great work

Right?! That math ain't mathing

Thanks jilli!! :)
@@captainziggy82he is literally a hurdle for her to get to the hextech weapons. So what you're saying makes total sense to me

@@celestialthearch8535 Nothing against the rest of Piltover’s engineers, but I’m fairly certain it would take a miracle for anyone but Jayce Vik and Heim (and Ekko, but he doesn’t count in this scenario) to even understand the notes. Smeech made a deal with Caitlin’s strike team to lead them to Jinx. That’s why they know she is at the arcade after they follow her from the Last Drop.
It is weird that they don't seem to recognize the accountant though. If they met with Smeech to make a deal then they should have recognized him.
@@TheFlyingBookwormthey did recognize him though. They said "you're one of smeech's men" and he replied "used to be, I decided to retire".

Seriously… I wonder if they cut back on his screen time thinking he didn't resonate in Season 1…
He deserves better
A good theory about the three light in the Grey I saw on Twitter is that it could be Janna, once again saving her people from the Grey. If you look at her staff in the mural where Vi and Jinx fight, it has the same three orbs on her staff that match up with the light that Smeech's guy sees. It'd make sense as she originally saved them from it until Caitlyn's mom created the vents to shut it off for Zaun to live better, but now that it's being released by Caitlyn, Janna has come back to save the people. It also adds up to it not being the enforcer group as they've never met him.
Oooo this would be awesome. I really hope we see Janna
Maybe Heenot just fainted after first seeing them and so wasn't there for their interacting lol ya never know
Wasn't ti Vi who recognised who Heenot was? She was the one asking him questions since she had some familiarity.
"Vi used to say I could fix anything, until I broke everything."
It's something I can fix,"
These scenes that were played at separate times reveals beautiful the depth of her regret over Clagger’s death when they are put together.
It’s such a good show….

I have a theory about the Grey. Fiddlestick usually took form of what people fear. In regions like Zaun, toxic gas could bring fear to a lot of people. This could be a subtle hint that Fiddlestick probably use this form before when it hunted in Zaun.
So many people claiming fiddlesticks but not red eyes makes me think otherwise since that is hallmark fiddlesticks in all of his appearances.
Just the fact that Jinx says it's bullshit means Janna is real and I think we might get a small appearance from her
O definitely think Janna is real. My messaging just got a little messed up there
Not only is Ekko's shadow ticking like a clock in the intro, but it's also ticking in reverse, alluding to his time rewind shenanigans.

9:18 that two headed dog is the murkwolf from the jungle
Murkwolf! That’s the name
Thanks nacho
thank you so much! im new to league of legends and did notice very little references but knew there was so much more and you explained it so well for us newbies. cant wait for the rest of S2
Glad you liked the video Gilbert! Be sure to check out some of my other runeterra lore videos!
The reoccurring guy Viktor heals is named Huck and the little girl sticking to Jinx is Isha (the subtitles say "Isha cries" and stuff like that) 🤓
I need to remeber that names show up in subtitles lol
Thanks Delta
I feel like Jayce dying would be awful for Ambessa's plans, he's one of the 3 people alive that would know how to make hex tech weapons and there's just no way she could've gotten Jinx or Viktor to cooperate.
My guess is she would pull in some noxians to finish it. The hardest part was figuring out how to change the hex crystal to something stable, the hextech gemstone. The reason nobody can create is because accesses to jayce’s research and lab are limited. Maybe with Jayce gone, and there is no way of convincing jayce, she can get her own brains on it
I’ve seen just about all the Arcane s2 videos and I think you have one of the best interpretations/commentaries so far.
Thanks madera!!
@@joshuafischer684in LoR, there's PLENTY of non-human characters that fight for Noxus.
He's one of the fish people from Bilgewater, but they're not Vastaya, Nami is though.
Also I’m 100 percent sure amara at that moment was le blanc and she is possessing people with magic to do her bidding that’s why Mel’s assistant changed to her voice too
Archers razor, this is definitely possible. They may have just taken a bit of artistic freedom with the zaun gray
“There’s this random guy who has the same eye color” ooooh If only you knew 😂😂😂😂
Hahha ya i dont know if I will live that one down
Janna is real in lore.
I do think there's a small chance Maddie is Leblanc
That would be crazy! I like it
Aight, I'll let you cook, but I'm gonna add to it: I think LeBlanc is BOTH Maddie AND Ishta (Jinx's new lil friend). They look SUPER similar.
@@YuumiTrashthat could be insane I fw that theory
@@YuumiTrash Nahh man Elora is LeBlanc
@@YuumiTrashif we're going to do a barbecue, what if janna was containing fiddlesticks in the grey. People were saying for a few frames it looked like fiddles scarecrow face was visible in the fog, and caits family archive showed a demon in the smoke ( i dont believe any of this is true). Would be alot of extra to handle in just 6 episodes
In my opinion, the next show should definitely explore noxus hiring singed to gas and invade ionia, transitioning into another region while staying somewhat connected to what we already know in the arcane world. Also i think the white haired people are the hemomancers (Vladimir cult), it would make sense because they are a part of the black rose as well
Awesome channel dude! Keep grinding, I'm sure you will blow up with this level of quality.
Thanks Kluxx!!
14:21 that guy is Jayce, so there will probably be a little time skip or bc he is in the arcane with the others
Ya I'm thinking its jayce too at this point
Sevika's arm being a jackpot also hints towards her gambling addiction, in S1 you would most likely see her gambling with someone
This is an awesome catch
(I don't think these were enforcers)
I think in the Jinx and enforcers's scene this face is just a reference to this creature.
I want to learn more about this creature like how it's born? What does it look like?
Act 2 is going to be so good! Can't wait to see!
This video was so good man great job
Thanks Zek!! So Hype for the rest of season too :)
Dope
I've watched these 3 episodes 3 times already and it's wild how each time I notice more and more details
Arcane is truly an amazing show and you are amazing for making some quality content please keep cookin🔥🔥
Feeling the same way. I would add to this video if I remade it now hah
Thanks voda!!
Thanks space!! :)
1:45 first watch I thought that was just some random bum and I was so confused as to why they took him to be an enforcer...
I feel like I also found Harold endearing now that you keep mentioning him😂😂
He is the best 🤣
Great info. Definitely some things that I missed! New to the lore of all of this but arcane is so good that now I’m here watching your stuff!
Thanks dwseagle!! I hope you like the lore videos :)
I have seen no one talk about it
This isn't "Stuff you missed" this is "Analysis and tying plot points together" - not looking for the latter in a season still airing.
14:19 Thats Jayce. His new skin League has been leaked and it s him
I feel like your video are so much better than the typical click bait youtubers that just farm views when a show gets popular. I think you're smart to title your videos like them though I just want to point out I'm not sure I would have clicked on them if not for them auto playing when I was already in the middle of a league game lol. I'm definitely glad it did though consistently the best arcane videos I've seen.
Ya I’m working on improving my thumbnail game.
Thanks Fido!! Check out some of my lore videos, I think you might like them :)
5:53 when Caitlin is going over her family history, you see her face with a shadow that looks like Kindred behind it. It was more of the wolf atp, but it brings together her lamb that we saw last season.
I think that's a reflection of the smoke image with the eyes (looks kind of like a tornado) I freeze frame it for a bit
I wonder what happened to Viktor when hextech went wild since he is connected to it right now
Wow I did not think about that! This will keep me up tonight
Honestly underrated video. So many great insights that I missed
Thanks up!
Thank you for the LoL lore knowledge connections, Arcane needs more creators doing this. I had the same feeling about The Grey, there's no way that's just an effect, it has to be a champion or something, indicated by the faces in the Kiramman's Key slideshows etc.
Thanks ac!! Thinking about doing a Black Rose video since thats the questions I get the most now
"where the heck is the plot armor I this show?" Lol...yah that's what happens when a show has fantastic writing.
Hah fair i agree
That whole chem barons table got wiped out. Maybe some room for Renata Glasc to make an appearance?
I only now got your channel recomended! Subscribed imediatly!
Thanks Bostieandres!! Hope you like some of my other lore videos :)
I could see a Ferjord serise. So much around Liss and the watchers. Plus the war between Liss, Seji, and Ashe.
Freljord is some of the best lore in all of runeterra.
You should check out my how lissandra doomed runeterra video
You have a lot of interesting insight for just three episodes. Also, HAROLDDDD!
Thanks enby! Its nice to see in not the only one who appreciates harolds contribution to the series!
I really love these kinds of videos and especially now because I have to wait until the next episodes come out I just want to hear what other people think could happen and explain stuff
Glad you liked the video hihi! :)
Took me too long to realize the joke that Harold was an evil mastermind in on everything, I genuinely thought you were serious...at least I hope.
Evil?? Not a chance. Morally gray possibly but a guy with a face like Harold could never be evil
Mel doesn't wear an armor. It's tattoos!
9:00 the doggie is actually a murk wolf. :)
They are just way to right place right time for them not to have more going on then we are lead to believe
for some reason i feel like, if/when they make another series, it will most likely be about Ionia
i think it's the easiest way to hook in even more viewers because you have your standard pretty asia-inspired landscapes, anime-like stories (looking at you, Yasuo and Yone), and an actual engaging storyline like in Zed comics, plus the "continuation" of the whole Noxus shtick with the invasion and war
although as much as i want to see Jhin animated in all of his serial killer glory, i kinda hope they go with Bilgewater instead, that area has so much more character imo
Ionia is an easy win, I agree
6:00 I honestly thought that was a reference Fiddlesticks, since it could be people feeling a sense of fear and dread from the Zaun Gray being sort of being personified
So many people claiming fiddlesticks but not red eyes makes me think otherwise since that is hallmark fiddlesticks in all of his appearances.
Smeech is a yordle though, so he’s a spiritual creature and is immortal as I understand? I’d imagine he just got “sent” back to bandle city or is in the progress of reincarnating in bandle city.
I’m pretty confident smeech is a chirean, not a yordle. Bat like beings who originated in the underground of zaun
Great breakdown of the first 3 episodes.Really on point with the lure and Easter eggs. I was screaming when I saw Temo's helmet. Ashame no Draven though.
Thanks kimo! Draven hopefully if we go to noxus next
11:55 One thing I think is important to correct is that demons feed on all emotions, not just negative ones such as fear
this is seen in Ashlesh, the demon of joy that Nilah is bound to
I also want to note that yordles don't really feed on anything like demons do (at least it isn't said nor implied directly from what I remember), they are simply spirits that live forever and they don't gain power from happiness (Vex is the biggest example)
me: pfffttt im not obsessed with Arcane
literally me having watched S1 5 times and S2 3 times: :3
(like how have i even done that its been out for 3 days!!!!)
Same same hah
The two headed wolf is the murkwolf from league. Probably a species in runeterra
The little girl that follows around Jinx is Isha, I only know this because of subtitles when Isha was whimpering on Jinx in ep3. I hope she becomes a character Jinx takes in because maybe she’ll remind Jinx enough of Powder to make a good decision.
1:05 ambessa’s eyes glow like a lion’s!!
Just found this gem! We shared thoughts on the hexcore building army.
Heimers wrench is his in game auto attack
The revolver the girl had was or is the hextech revolver
Jayce activating his canon was his ultimate (R)
The turret Heimer had was his ability
Vi charging her gauntlets was her E
Cait shooting Jinx between her eyes was a refrence to her passive Headshot
This was an amazing comment
Same same, ambessa is plotting, I know it
Harold could be the blueprint for minions :o
If Harold was a minion, he would farm the enemy jungle camps. You can't put that kind of power on auto spawn in lanes
Damn, when you said you're a small channel, I expected around 100k subs, but to see you have less than 2k is crazy. I'm definitely binging your channel today.
Thanks will!! Hope you like the lore videos :)
mel’s armor is def protecting her, i saw some people on twitter show the blast radius where her and jayce were completely unscathed while the rest of the council room is filled with cracks
Well, you gained a subscriber in me. I assumed you were a big channel. Those other videos sounds great. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Thanks sahie!!
14:19 Bruh, that's Jayce after he get's out of the arcane, not some random dude 🤣🤣
"Random guy" is killing me bro😭 he looks so unrecognizable. But someone said Isha looks like Mylo
