I personally dont see Ambessa sacrifacing her children, as she said: family is the most important thing. She can lift the world, not only because she ia strong enough not to even bend her knees, but also to protect the child on her feet. For me, she gave way the Lamb (her child) to the fates, realizing that she wont have control over his/her destiny. Just like losing Kino tô death, she will lose Mel to the fates. Thats the only way she and her baby can survive.
I like this take, after arcane is over im going to look at it all with a fresh mind or maybe ill wait till her book comes out. Either way thats what makes this one of my favorite cinematics, it speaks to me, you and the character Ambessa differently. Thanks for the comment
I think the lamp seen during the ritual with the blue-skinned people represents innocence, specifically Ambessa's personal innocence. She gives up a piece of herself to accomplish her goals as a warrior.
I can see it but couldnt her children be a representation of her innocence? Her entire character changed anytime Mel was on screen, she usually became a lot softer.
@ the only reason I say bring back is because at the end of the MV, the wolf has already walked away from Ambessa, and she doesn’t open her eyes until after the glow around baby Mel. And to be fair to your point, she could have healed her or just woken her up so she didn’t die. But there would be no reason for Mel to activate the power after the wolf had left was my thought.
don't really play LOL but I like watching the cinematics and keeping up with the lore. i really loved Ambessa when she first came on Arcane so it's a treat for me to have her character fully fleshed out. normally i'd go to necrit for their take but after watching thing, i think i'm leaning towards your theories more. i can't wait for next arcane episode and more mama Medarda.
Hey I really appreciate this comment, Arcane is the perfect step into the League universe but it gets wild with the Void, Ascended and just magic in general. Oh and after years and years of reading lore no character (besides Pantheon) instantly hooked me like Ambessa, im very excited that shes getting a book early next year and I will 100% be making videos on it.

We got some clarification so I will need to make a revision video, the confirmation came from her bio. 1. I was right and it was NOT Ionia, it was Noxus 2. The desert scenes most likely reference her Shuriman heritage the rest will come as we learn about Mels jewlery in Arcane S2
Something I noticed now that we’ve seen mel’s final form is that her golden sigils on her body look exactly the same as the marks on the followers but in gold. Perhaps mel’s magic has some connection to kindred?
