Welcome! Two good children's/Middle grade authortubers I can think of are Lindsay Puckett and Michelle Schusterman. They are great advocates for their age range if you haven't watched their content before. Sara Sutton is also a great channel and she advocates for naps during the day too. Edit: Your draft will change of course, but as your first novel, tell yourself the story and reach the end. Then you can piece everything together to make sense.
Thank you for the wonderful recommendations! I’ll definitely check them out. And I love that! 😆 Thank you! Yes I think I sometimes get caught up in having all the info in the story, but realistically, I’m going to have to go back and fill a lot in. I’m glad to hear you echo those thoughts.
Chapter length doesn't matter and it doesn't need to be uniform. One chapter can be a page, and another thirty. And, you can always change you chapter breaks later; no need to stress over that at least!
Hey welcome to authortube! It's really awesome finding another small authortuber who is on the same path as me! 😁 I've also written some poetry in the past along with writing some stories here and there and now I'm trying to seriously write a novel to be traditionally published one day so I feel the same challenges as you 🤣 Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you want some writing advice or to simply just chat about writing!
I am also a napper! 2pm rolls around and my body starts to shut down haha I always have to make sure I write in the morning 😆
Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one!

This is my third time drafting a novel and my advice is to push through the doubt and I suck feelings that firsts drafts bring on.
Thank you for this! I'm definitely trying to overcome those feelings by just writing anyway.
goodluck with your channel! the video quality is so good 😍 what camera do you use?!
Thank you so much! Believe it or not, I use my iPhone 14 😅
Have you discovered Brandon Sanderson's writing classes yet? If not, I recommend. Any year. They are here on yt.
I've seen a little bit of a couple of them. I really want to dive more into them when I get the chance. I'm glad you recommend them!
