You can stick to giving us vibes and themes and a bit of world building. Getting to know the characters so the audience falls in love with them - like quirks, favorite things. That way people are getting to know the story but you are not revealing big events and spoilers and it gives you room to be able to make bigger changes along the route. When I share anything about my stories, I make it clear that I am in draft zero and that the end product may look very little like what I am revealing along the way.
I think that’s a good way to approach it for sure. I know there’s quite a few things that will probably change, but sharing characters and the general world sounds like a good way to go!
Highly recommend writing in scenes rather than chapters! It was a mental shift for me, but it really helped with roadblocks because I could rearrange things more easily both during drafting and editing (especially editing). Since I write MG too I think it is extra helpful -- our chapters are so short and moving a scene can throw things so out of whack! And good for you for taking a break! It can be so hard to take a step away from writing, but I think it is the only way to avoid burnout. I'm editing right now and I can't wait to take a little break over the holidays.
Oh interesting! I might have to look more into that. Thanks for sharing! And yes it can be tough, but we need rest more than we realize sometimes. Thank you!
Good luck on your journey! You are doing great! I am currently working on my second draft, and what is helping me stay motivated, is to just block out uninterpreted time in my day to work on it. That way I don't have to have motivation, just time to focus on it!
I feel the same way as you when it comes to figuring out what to share in videos but for a completely different reason 🤣 I have this HUGE fear that if I share a lot of details about my stories then someone is gonna take them and claim them as their own 🤣😅 So because of that, I want to hold my cards close to my chest, but at the same time, it'll be difficult for people to be interested in my story if i don't share baseline details so that's what I've been trying to do 👍🏾 also it's been really nice getting to know you! 😁
Loved this writing vlog so much! 💖☺️ It can be so hard to know what to share in these videos, I TOTALLY get that 😅 especially since I’m writing the 2nd book in my series, I don’t want to spoil ANYTHING.
I love watching other writers vlogs. It helps me to see that it's ok to go at my own pace and listen to my body when it tells me to take a break!
I love this! I’m always glad to see other people’s process too!

Thank you so much! I love that! I agree that having time set aside for nothing but writing helps so much. Good luck with your second draft!
Thank you!

I definitely agree that winter is for slowing down.
Yes I love living with the natural rhythms around us.
