Finally an authortuber i can relate to! I also have been leaning more towards writing middle grade fiction, so seeing this is so refreshing and makes me feel less alone 😄
Here's another official welcome to authortube! 😌🙌🏾 I'm definitely down to see some poetry content from you cause I've considered trying to get back into writing poems so getting some advice videos or even just you talking about some of your favorite poems and whatnot would be fun to watch!
So glad you’re here Mariah! I personally love present tense! I think it gives the writing a sense of urgency, but it does take some practice. Can’t wait to see more from you!
Im glad I found your page, Im a new young adult/ children's book author. I have self-published one of my children's books, currently working on my YA fantasyIcam excited to follow your journey with you!
It was great getting to know you in this video! I feel like I missed out on middle grade books when I was younger - I jumped pretty early into adult books. I've been highly considering browsing the middle grade section. I see so many books that look really unique and fresh and clever! I started out the same way as a writer, I've been writing as long as I can remember. But it was random paragraphs here and there. A few stories I had world building and characters mapped out. Lots of poems too! Though I have not written a poem in decades.
Thank you! Oh how funny, I feel like I read middle grade and young adult for most of my life and never really made the switch to adult 😂 that’s so fun! Thanks for being here!
@@Mariah_Etheridge I jumped straight into things like Fear Street, L.J. Smith's Vampire DIaries, VC Andrews, and then Anne Rice and Stephen King LOL none of them were appropriate for the age I was reading them at the time I am sure!

This makes me so happy! I'm so glad to have more middle grade authors/readers here. You are definitely not alone!
