I already make a similar idli, the difference being I make it with moong dal 1 cup: urad dal 1/2 cup, and dont add eno. Will try your way. But thanks for the tomato no dal sambhar. I'm gping to reduce the oil though.
That's good sis, with out Eno, or soda, I don't use all that not good for health,I always follow my mom,'s traditional way from the 60,s,.simple just grind little earlier for fermentation.. those days where got all those soda,n eno ,grinded in attukal, stone grinder...now m 73 yrs still I follow old way,, idly n dosai can done with just fenugreek n plain rice..👍
Yummy

Really amazing idli and sambar. Thanks

I think I will use thiidli more often, as I have asthma & try to eat less rice. I do make idli with the Pesarattu batter, & many times & stream it like Dhokla & then cut it into pieces, & make curry with iy.
Why eating less rice b/c of asthma, i am curious. I also have inflammatory condition and thought that one should use less wheat (gluten) . If eat brown rice then should be good.
Very nice good for diabetes people. I made it and came out very well super soft thanks for this recipe. No Eno was required
