About Joseph Carlson:
I am not a professional investor and have never claimed to be. I'm an amateur investor sharing my experience of what I've learned, where I have had success, and where I've had failures. I share my thoughts on investing and performance with transparency. My approach and goal to investing is to buy high-quality long-term investments in world-class businesses that I call "compounders". I view my investments as businesses, not as stocks. Before creating content on UA-cam full time I worked as a senior-level programmer for 8 years. Over the years as a programmer, I compounded my knowledge of development. I take the same iterative learning approach to my study of investing. I study investing as a craft in the continual pursuit of being better. I will make mistakes in investment decisions from time to time. Results are not guaranteed. Please do not blindly follow me into any investments, and make sure your portfolio and investments are built around your specific income, risk tolerance, personality, and timeline, and overall circumstances. - Розваги

Forget kidneys, I could just pawn one of my extraordinarily large brass testicles for a cool mill and a half. -Buy a large yacht, fill it with Hoe's, shoot a pop culture musical video. While also selling the documentary film rights to the whole process. After filming (and editing of course) get my literal nut back outta hock, broker the yacht, "stiff" the Hoe's, short the film crew, then retire with the appreciative value of the brass metal weight vs inflation and start a divvy fund. Whaddaya think Mr J.C. is this a sound investment and business strategy? Do you want to contribute some seed funds to drum up ad money for launching this venture?

Do you have a list of your current stock positions? New Subscriber, stumbled across your YT channel as someone in the Facebook Dividend group mentioned your channel. Thanks for the video(s) .. 👍🎊💯
What is the investment vehicle for your portfolio. Is this within a Roth IRA. I'm 58 and don't have much saved but I'm making 85k and Really need to get something going for retirement as far as passive income. Do you have a video on actually setting something up in a little more detail. I will be working for a while yet. Thank you.
Considering how volatile the stock market is right now, I think investors should focus on cheap stocks. Of my $270k portfolio, 35% consists of formerly well-regarded stocks that are currently experiencing a sharp decrease. I have no idea how to escape this awful circumstance.
what are you talking about? cheap doesn’t mean less risk, if u buy 100 1$ shares or 1 100$ is the same thing
@@greatMomiz he means cheap according to estimated fundamentals, not cheap per share lol…
@@diumeiloulou6617 aaaaah ok that makes sense
Stocks don’t go up forever.
If that's the case than I might as well throw my money into a savings account paying 5percent
I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income
Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
As a new investor it's always great to hear from a person who has gone through all the difficult times and come ahead of it. What are some strategies i can employ to be successful?
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
I copied her whole name and pasted it into my browser; her website appeared immediately, and her qualifications are excellent; thank you for sharing.
Dividend investing is most effective when approached with a long-term perspective. While dividends can provide immediate income, the true power lies in the compounding effect over many years. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. If the stock has increased sharply because the business is performing exceptionally well, it could still be a bargain. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...
I agree that there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such executions are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience

I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an email shortly.
My perspective on dividends is that they may not be beneficial if a company has better uses for its capital to promote growth. I suggests investing in companies with growth potential. However. It's possible to create a portfolio that generates a dividend income of $50,000-70,000 with less than $200,000 investment.
You're right! Compound interest is powerful, but many people underestimate it or lack patience. An investment advisor can also be of help., speaking from experience
That's right, I've been backed by a financial advisor for almost three years now, I started with over a hundred thousand and I'm just $190,000 away from making half a million profits from compounding and dividends.
I like to look into this, how can i find a decent advisor like yours?

I want a balanced portfolio, with growth investments, safe investments, and also a focus on dividends to gain up to $20K monthly with minimal risk. is this your strategy sustainable?
I’d rather you just start new positions in ETFs with future income and build that. I will advice you get yourself a financial advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the share/etf you focus on.
Opting for an inves-tment advisr is currently the optimal approach for navigating the stock market, particularly if you need a portfolio that can stand the test of downturns. I've been consulting with a coach for a while, and my portfolio has surged by 115% since 2022

Dividends are a great thing, but they’re only really effective for passive income when you either have somewheres over 20 to 25 thousand shares of a high yielding stock. Meaning you likely need to have a few hundred thousand if not more invested in it. Re-investing dividends back into the same stock certainly does snowball with compound interest, but you only really start seeing it after 20 years of never stopping and likely needing to add additional money of your own with it….so it’ll be time consuming and costly. The way I see it if you have a million dollars at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50 to 70 thousand in dividend income
It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.
That's true, I've been backed by a financial advisor for almost three years now, I started with over a hundred thousand and I'm just $19,000 away from making half a million profits from compounding and dividends.
Could you kindly elaborate on the advisor's background and qualifications?
The advisor that guides me is Sonya lee Mitchell, most likely the internet is where to find her basic info, just search her name, She's established.
Yes and no I’d rather have 5k worth of dividends in the stock market than 5k in my savings account. At least my money is working itself.
Agreed that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.
She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.
AI adjacent tech will be much more reliable.
AI is bubbling right now (as someone that will get a diploma in ML & AI in November). If you look into where it can really be applied there's a big opportunity there.
Right now AI is seen as the holy grail in every use case. It won't be useful in every scenario.
look up nio! You will get rich with this one longterm. Very undervalued company which could and will explode in to new dimensions regarding its fundamentals. Not profitable yet, but on its way to it.
this isnt a lot of money stick with index funds until you have some real money to invest
Opinions on the market diverge; some claim overvaluation due to rapid gains, while others cite strong economic fundamentals justifying high valuations. The notable surge in tech stocks, raises concern for my $600K portfolio given the index's increased tech concentration. What stocks, in terms of growth over the next ten years, could be the next APPL is my query.
Considering diversification is excellent, but I sense some uncertainty. Now might be a good time to consult a financial advisor for expert advice and seize opportunities in this volatile market.
i agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day invesmentt decisions being guided by a financial advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using a fin-advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over $1.8million.
I actually subscribed for a few trading courses but it didn't help much, been getting suggestions to use a proper financial advisor, how did you go about touching base with your coach?
Vivian Carol Gioia is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment
Thank you for this tip. It was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her resume.
Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.

In this current unstable markets, It is advisable to diversify while retaining 70-80% in secure investments. Depending on the worth of your portfolio, you should consider financial advisory.
Agreed, my portfolio is well-matched for every market season yielding 85% from early last year to date. I and my advisr are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year. IMO, financial advisors are the most sought-after professionals after doctors.

I am trying to avoid making any new buys at this point in other not to get sucked into a bear market trap. It's tough making money in stocks when institutional investors are the driving force behind the selling.. although I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?
For the average person, the strategies are fairly demanding. In actuality, most professionals who have the necessary expertise to pull off such trades effectively carry them out.
I agree, before the pandemic got real serious, I used to handle all my investment and I was pretty good at it, fast forward to post-pandemic and my-portfolio is steady in the red with profit rate down to the lowest, that's when I touched-base with a coach I saw featured on businessweek, who restructured my portfolio and over the last couple months, I've made over $850k from initially $210K
That's impressive, have you always had guidance?
how do I go about it the right way. I’d love to use similar terms as yours.
One of the fiduciaries I deal with is Jennifer Lea Jenson. Just check the name. There would be a letter with the necessary information to set up an appointment.
My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.
Focus on two key objectives. First, stay protected by learning when to sell stocks to cut losses and capture profits. Second, prepare to profit when the market turns around.I recommend you seek the guidance a broker or financial advisor.
Very true , I diversified my $400K portfolio across multiple market with the aid of an investment advisor, I have been able to generate over $900k in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds in few months.
How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

Thank you for this amazing tip. I just looked the name up, wrote her explaining my financial market goals and scheduled a call
The most popular investment portfolio strategies include diversification, where you spread investments across different asset classes to manage risk. Another is the growth strategy, focused on capital appreciation through high-risk, high-reward assets. Income-oriented strategies target regular income from dividend stocks or bonds. Finally, there's the value strategy, seeking undervalued assets for potential long-term gains.
According to Warren Buffett, dividends are less valuable for growing businesses and more suitable for established ones. Investing in companies that offer dividends might be seen as parking capital for steady returns, especially for those relying on portfolio income. This approach resembles bond investing, serving as a means of generating consistent earnings.
Given the market's uncertainty, I rely on an investment advisor for my daily decisions. Their expertise in long and short strategies, coupled with risk management and exclusive analysis, ensures substantial returns. Amid the pandemic, I've gained over $1.5 million through subsequent investments, benefiting from their approach.
That's quite remarkable! I'm genuinely interested in benefiting from the guidance of such experienced advisors, especially considering the current state of my struggling portfolio. May I know the name of the advisor who has been assisting you in navigating these financial challenges?
"Camille Alicia Garcia" serves as my advisor, bringing extensive qualifications and experience in the financial market. Her deep understanding of portfolio diversity positions her as an industry expert. I suggest delving into her credentials for further insight. With her considerable experience, she offers valuable guidance to anyone seeking to navigate the complexities of the financial market.
Thank you for the information. I conducted my own research and your advisor appears to be highly skilled and knowledgeable. I've sent her an email and arranged a phone call. Her expertise is impressive, and I'm eagerly anticipating our conversation.
Creating wealth entails establishing positive routines, such as consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for sound investments. Financial management is a vital subject that many avoid, often leading to future regrets.
Getting a head start by beginning early is the most effective way to build wealth, with investment taking precedence. I've learned from last year's experience that starting early allowed me to create a better life through early investments this time around.
Currently, I'm managing my finances wisely and being frugal. In the last 23 months, my investments grew by 43%, adding over $650K in profits. However, I've had losses in the past month, making me anxious. I'm unsure whether to sell everything or wait.
I always consult a financial advisor before investing. During the pandemic, I used their strategies to minimise risks and maximise profits, generating around $3 million in three years with my advisor, Stacey Lee Decker.
I'm intrigued by the idea of investing with an analyst; it seems like a wise choice in today's market. Could you provide me with some guidance on how to get in touch with her?
Thank goodness . I just found her on the web. She seems well experienced.
The truth is that dividend stocks, if one sticks with them, outpace inflation by many percentage points. I just want my money to keep outgrowing the inflation rate. That is why I'm looking for companies now to put in $80k for a start. Just don't know how to proceed
This is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.
People underestimate how much they can make from the stock market. I started with $127k and made more than $86k within just five months of starting, and it's been an awesome ride since then.
I need someone who has a reliable track record, because I want to transfer my existing portfolio and start one for my wife. Could you could recommend yours?
My advisor is *Sharon Louise Count* and she manages my portfolio with great returns. I think she has a contact website you could look up.

Dividend stocks have their own advantages over time I have accumulated shares with a monthly dividend of $4,000, still find stock trading much better after I came across a strategy last year which it's minimum weekly profit return is about $9,000 with these two investments I got a new place and a car with so many other investments established.
The stock dividend has the advantage of rewarding shareholders without reducing the company's cash balance. However, it does increase its liabilities. Stock dividends have a tax advantage for the investor as well. Unlike cash dividends, stock dividends are not taxed until the investor sells the shares.
As a beginner, Focus on two key objectives. Learn when to sell stocks to minimize losses and maximize gains to start protecting yourself. Second, prepare to make money when the market turns around. I advise speaking with a broker or financial counselor.
Cynthia Depken is the licensed fiduciary I use. CFA is the best designation to pursue in terms of investment knowledge, it certainly does not cover all of the aspects of financial planning. In very general terms, however, the CFA designation may help those in the corporate world more than those starting their own financial planning business.
Personally trade myself, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important.
@ChrisDERUNNER Is self-investing worth it? Some have no account minimums and charge annual management fees of less than 0.5% per amount managed. Self-directed investment accounts have the lowest fees and give you the most freedom, but the risks are higher. A safer choice is to hire a financial advisor and let them guide your investment strategy.
Smaller, speculative stocks have endured a historically weak stretch. Investors are betting that a turnaround is finally in the works. I’ve lost about $320k within a few months, how do i take advantage of the market turnaround?
There are many interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell stocks.
That's impressive! I could really use the expertise of this advsors. how can i get to your advisor

Scambot alert!
I'm a big fan of dividend growth stocks. The myth is that there is no growth in dividend paying stocks, not true at all. I saw 20 even 30% stock value, on top of some of the dividends paid by some of my dividend paying stocks this year. The best thing about dividend paying stocks is when they do dip my dividend yield goes up and I can load up and increase the rate of return. I also never have to sell the stock to receive the profits from dividends so I get the return over and over and over. Unlike regular stocks that I have to sell and only see profit once, at the time of sale. Once they are sold they are gone folks. There are also tax benefits to long term holdings. I'm really grateful to then efforts of my advisor , Susan Kay Mack helping me reach my 7 figure milestone . Wishing peace and prosperity to you and yours.
There are several excellent dividend stocks available. The challenge is to diversify sufficiently to receive dividend payments.
I just found her webpage and left her a mail. her resume shows she was active during the last bear market.
I have been dividend investing since 1986, 37 years now. I have to say this is VERY on target. I can't tell you how many people I have met who just focus almost exclusively on the current yield. Bad mistake.
1, Look for revenue growth, EPS growth, dividend GROWTH. Find low payout ratios. The combination of revenue growth and a low payout ratio means the company will likely have a lot of room to grow the dividend well into the future. Very important to understand the difference between the current yield and the yield-to-cost. Wayne Gretzky said it best, "don't skate to where the puck is, skate to where it is going."
2. When you reinvest dividends that is compounding. Everyone understands compounding. When you combine that with... THEY KEEP INCREASING WHAT THE DIVIDEND IS... think of it as compounding squared.
Good video.
What is the best way to profit from the current market, meanwhile I'm still undecided about investing $400k in my stock portfolio to get some dvidends and minimize risk
Remember that investing in the stock market carries risks, and it’s important to do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 150K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities.
What is CMA ? A new coin or platform? I am tired of losing all in the name of investing.

I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. I'm looking at NVIDIA and other AI stocks. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies. Maybe there are other recommendations?
Shopify and snapchat
NVIDIA is a balloon. They don't have any tangible AI development. They don't have an edge in hardware. Its all selling of news, smoke and mirrors. I know people inside of the industry and all they talk about is opensource this and that. FAANG is the sacrificial bull that's going to collapse our economy when they flip the switch. Everyone knows ASML controls chips but none of that actually matters when patents collapse and information is made free by real ai projects in defi/depin space. Chip plants don't cost billions to build. Maybe a couple million. Maybe even a couple hundred thousand after this new wave hits. And they'll be springing up everywhere. NVIDIA simply has no moat without government mafia to protect them and fomoing into it and other AIAAS (as a service) - won't just get you wrekt, it will be a matter of survival to have ownership of digital assets and involved in communities like ICP.
eh you make it sound like those stocks aren't risky. How aren't they? Nvidia seems to just be pulling forward a decade or so of growth into one year. Pretty soon they run out of people to sell at this pace too. Then the rest of the world realizes that AI isn't cost effective, that good, or the jobs they want to automate away don't exist anymore because they already got automated with SQL processes and python (last case being my job)
If life gives you lemon, you make lemonades, so at this point instead of waiting for stocks to crash or recovery, focus on how to profit off the current market, Bloomberg, WSJ, BBC business(just to mention a few) have been recording cases of folks averaging 350k in 12weeks, so there's money being moved around if you know where you're looking.
Avert too-good-to-be-true con tricks. Consult a fiduciary counselor; these professionals are among the best in the business and offer individualized guidance to clients based on their risk tolerance. There are undesirable ones, but some with a solid track record can be excellent.

@@ThomasHeintz Thank you for this amazing tip. I just looked the name up, wrote her explaining my financial market goals
More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.
The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.
This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000
Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular coach you using their service?
'Carol Vivian Constable, a highly respected figure in her field. I suggest delving deeper into her credentials, as she possesses extensive experience and serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking guidance in navigating the financial market.

Though dividend-paying stocks don’t offer dramatic price appreciation, they can provide a consistent income stream. Renewed buying strength in markets in October and November. I want to invest more than $100k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk. Any reliable inputs will be appreciated please
Spreading your investments across different sectors and asset classes can help manage risk. Diversification can protect your portfolio from the impact of a downturn in any one area of the market.
This is exactly the reason I stopped taking advise from UA-camrs; in the long run, I only end up with a jumbled collection of stocks and bonds. Whereas all I needed to earn over $550k in less than two years was guidance from a true market expert. Glad I did contact one, I'm currently up 65% in profits on my collections.
@jospehbush Amazing! Could you shed more light or details? Or how can I contact the expert that helped you?
Can you reprint the advisors name ? Please .. I am 60 and in dire need of advice. It’s just me and not enough in 401k But , for first time In my life have a decent savings I can do something with. Unfortunately I have no clue and getting more confused the more videos I watch . Basically need to grow $400,00 in 401k to a million in 4 years . I do not have 20 or 30 years unfortunately and that’s the advice everywhere . I get it .. but circumstances were out of my control up until now.

The markets are still unsure if the Federal Reserve will continue to its plan to raise interest rates until inflation is under control, despite the fact that bond yields are rising while stock prices are falling, The market and the Fed consistently underestimate the sticky nature of inflation. What is the greatest strategy to take advantage of the current bear market while I'm still deciding whether to sell my $401k worth of stocks?
Because they are used to bull markets, most people find it difficult to handle a decline, but if you know where to search and how to get around, you can make a sizable profit. It depends on how you plan to enter and leave.
That’s why I make it a point to speak with a financial advisor before choosing any investments. I’ve been using one since the pandemic, using profits oriented tactics and minimizing risks as a buffer against inevitable downtrends. In addition they have access to insider knowledge and analysis, making failure virtually impossible for them. I’ve made about $3 million working with Deborah Jean Dykstra my advisor for over three years now.
thanks for sharing, i found Deborah's web page
This is a Great video. I have a small dividend investing UA-cam channel investing for financial freedom and this video really makes rethink 1 or 2 of my investments, even though I did my individual stock research and have mostly dividend aristocrats and dividend kings. I have 25 positions and 2 of them are T and VZ and you really put them into perspective for me here. I may consider replacing one or both of them with CAKE, TXRH, MA! thanks for the Straightforward Info Joseph!
Most people simply enter the foreign exchange market without comprehending matters like this. The first stage in building money is determining your goals and risk tolerance, which you may do on your own or with the assistance of a financial counselor who works with a verified Finance agency. And also you can learn the facts about saving and investing and create a clear plan, you should be able to acquire financial security over time and enjoy the benefits of income management.
That is why I work with John Desmond Heppolette, who introduced me to a better Financial community, a verified agency where I learned how money works and how to create it, as well as free books, courses, and daily lectures. You also get to meet new people, which was the best decision I ever made.

Great tip. I invest in company's that raise their dividend each year, i'll definitely check that number against inflation.
This was so incredible to watch! I love the way you guys talk about money as a family and I aspire to be that kind of parent in the future! My sister recommended your account in 2020 and I’ve been following since… It literally changed my life because it gave me the financial literacy I needed to start investing. Thank you and way to go girls 🎉 what they’ve accomplished is amazing.
The fastest way to build dividends is to have some high growth stocks like TSLA and AAPL and rebalance the profits into dividend companies or funds. I just rebalanced my portfolio recently and moved some nice profit from this rally into more dividend funds, which are pretty cheap right now. I bought alot more dividend funds than if I had just reinvested dividends and didn't have any high growth. I do 50/50 right now but as I get older I'll lower my high growth percentage to increase my income and lower risk.
I went 70% growth 30% dividend(singapore shares). Im a singaporean.
Do you have your dividend stocks in an individual brokerage or IRA? Last year I shifted all my dividend stocks to my Roth IRA out of fear of tax drag but now I’m conflicted…
One of the best and most concise and results oriented strategies ....with Excellent advice based on hard fought experience !! Keep up the great work !! Thank you 😎
I use a different strategy, I used a high/low yield strategy. I invest in MAIN, PFLT and JEPI for income. I use SCHD, NOBL and VTI for growth. I don't want research companies and keep looking at who is doing well. I leave that for managers of funds. At the end I use BND and TIP to hedge down turns in the market. 8 ETFs that I can manage without looking for gems in the marketplace. I do smaller investments with FTCO, SACH, HRZN and ZIM. So, I use a high/low strategy so I don't need $1M to retire. Your strategy doesn't work with low income salaries and the need to be able to turn cash quickly.
FTEC, VONG and ONEQ are also overlooked.
You are flat out a victim of high finance and the logical fallacies adopted by the mass public, of which the products you purchase are marketed to. You should really read a few books on financial theory my dude.
The market is massively efficient in these broad products and your logic on the matter tells me you don’t have the skills nor the understanding to do what you think you are capable of.
If you have a family your stewardship of your family’s savings is of a most serious matter. Don’t fu*k it up.
Agree with the both of you.
I began my investment journey at the age of 33, primarily through hard work and dedication. I am to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity.
Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $500k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently.

I think a reason why you could get criticised for buying such low dividend companies is because in my opinion the strategy you are outlining isn't a 'dividend investor' strategy. You are not investing for the dividends at all - in fact, as I see it, you could as well buy into companies that do not pay any dividends whatsoever. Your gain and what you look for, as you point out in the video, comes from the growth of the underlying business, not from the businesses distribution of wealth to its shareholders.
In other words, this strategy should perhaps be better described as a 'fundamentals driven large cap growth' - strategy. You invest in established large cap companies that you deem to have low risk and good potential for growth in the future based on business fundamentals.
When I think what a meanful description of a 'dividend investor' would be, it would have to be someone who is investing with the main purpose being to grow their portfolio through the distribution of wealth from their ownership shares. For example, a company that has reached its natural marked limit and only grows with GDP whilst paying out its excess cash flows every year to its owners, or a company that for other reasons do not focus mainly on reinvesting its earnings. And I think you are very right in your criticism that this kind of investing quickly can turn into investing in companies that not only have a saturated marked but indeed is stagnating and might contract.
Canadian banks have been a great tool - as they have been paying dividends collectively for about 200 years - with no dividend cuts - I also like Canadian insurance companies…. - CIBC has increased their dividend by 5% per year, over the last 5yrs
Joseph - I find your advice - priceless $$ - thank you 😊

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.
The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but is very advisable you make use of a professional like I did. If you get the facts about saving and investing and follow through with an intelligent plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your money.
The stock market rally run is gone, but I'm not
sure if equities will swiftly recover, keep falling, or fluctuate in a narrow range for a few weeks, or if things will quickly get worse. I'm under pressure to increase my $300k reserve.

Excellent summary & impactful message; thank-you!
Joseph can you show us your IRA investments? Im 23 and started a Roth IRA a few months ago and am in SCHD, VXUS, and VTI. Im curious to see your IRA investment strategy.
one critique: those div growth companies only could increase their payouts in the way they did cus those companies were that successful during that period.
the div growth % wouldn't be that impressive if the stock prize did not increase along with it.
in retrospect a decade ago verizon and at&t surely were considered a safer option. That's why I like to diversify more in adding some "safer" higher yielding stocks.
overall, your personal age is also always an important factor to consider in your portfolio strategy.
One of the best videos about dividend portfolios. Keep it up!!!
Thanks Joseph that was interesting and very informative one of my favorite episodes lots of value keep the gems coming stay blessed.
I grew up on military bases all my life, so I was accustomed to what's usually offered on base as far as restaurants and shops. Yet I was actually surprised when my parents told me there's a Texas Roadhouse up in JBLM in WA. But then I thought of how perfect of a fit that was. Usually there's only fast food places, but the value TRH offers even at a sit down restaurant is tremendous, and is sure to appeal to value-seeking military families that live on base (and this is a big one). Needless to say, I'm told the place gets lots of business.
Great advice. I’ve been stuck with the trash AT&T investment for years. Now I’m using it to tax manage against some gains in my portfolio.
Solid strategy of long-term dividend growth companies. 🤑 I'm still learning as I grow my dividend payments as well...
I feel like this is one of the best videos on the subject. Very simple and organized explanation
Lol I remember years ago how everyone would always say “you might as well throw your entire retirement fund in $T, collect $70k a year in dividends and just retire early.” They would’ve all been wiped out
You don’t just throw money at a company because of the dividend. If you were a smart “investor” you would’ve notice that they stopped paying a dividend during the pandemic and were unprofitable at some point. Red flag
Joseph, can you make an introductory video on the tool you are using for the charts in this video? This is so visually consistent to how you explain these concepts. I would like to use it for my dividend journey as well. Your knowledge is amazing 🙌
Second this! Following
Ahhh, it’s called Qualtrim, $10/month
First video to watch on this channel and that was the first thing I wanted to know as well. I also see his use of M1. I'm brand new to this world and am curious to know which tools might be beneficial.
Important question I really hope I can get a quick answer to!! What about SCHD? Do you invest in ETFs that have bundles of stocks in order to diversify just a little bit more?? Do you feel the returns are simply better investing in these companies directly??
Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I will keep in mind as I continue to develop my dividend investing strategy. And you are right I work in aerospace and the industry is very complex with a multitude of dependencies.
I recently made more purchases. Saving money for a market downturn is likewise a bad idea. There are numerous ways to look at recessions and depressions, we cannot always expect to make large returns, and taking chances is better than doing nothing. The bottom line is that you will achieve remarkable results by diversifying your portfolio and making wise decisions. My portfolio's raw earnings rose by $608k in just 5 months.
Despite my confidence in your advice, my recent stock purchases, and the fact that I am an AMC shareholder, I haven't been able to accumulate anything. I had already been in the hole for too long prior to the downturn. What's the investing procedure?
I do not have a single fund that I invest in because I have a range of jobs. I certainly don't behave that way. I model my behavior after that of Julie Anne Hoover, a seasoned financial counsellor licensed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Since then, my returns have risen swiftly in contrast to the IRA's gradual development. What I have is only used by her trades, not by a few really niche businesses.

I just found your channel and wow, what a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. Would you recommend the tracking software in your description at any portfolio balance or only after achieving a certain value?
Would like to hear your thoughts on owning foreign stocks as well as treasuries and bonds. Short term treasuries are yielding 5% right now and markets in other countries (namely India) are expected to have huge growth in the coming years.
I embarked on my dividend journey upon recognizing that two specific budgetary expenses, taxes, and insurance, were consistently on the rise and unlikely to decrease. Acknowledging the need for additional income to counteract the significant increases in both, I began acquiring shares that pay dividends. I now envision this as the path to ensure that these two expenses do not surpass my future income.
Receiving insights from a seasoned investor who has overcome challenges and emerged successful is consistently inspiring. While it can be daunting to witness your portfolio shift from positive to negative, persisting with investments in robust companies allows for continued growth and staying true to your goals.
I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I appreciate giving an investment coach the power of decision-making. Given their specialized expertise and education, as well as the fact that each and every one of their skills is centered on harnessing risk for its asymmetrical potential and controlling it as a buffer against certain unfavorable developments, it is practically impossible for them to underperform. I have made over 1.5 million dollars working with an investment coach for more than two years
We are just a step away from accumulating wealth through information. I am aware of many individuals who built fortunes during the Dotcom crash and the 2008 recession. I am currently exploring similar opportunities in the current market. Can the consultant who guides you assist with this?

I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 175K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities
Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again
Hi , please who is the expert assisting you and how do I reach out to them?
The broker I'm in touch with is *ASHLEY AIRAGAHI . I came across her in a Bloomberg interview and got in touch with her. You can use something else. For me, her strategy works hence my result. She provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on

SCHD has large positions in VZ and MMM, and a lot of industrials and companies with high starting yield and low dividend growth. Can you explain why you think SCHD is a good investment while suggesting we should avoid some of its largest individual holdings?
Because schd will eventually bump them off the 100 stocks they pick when those 2 stocks eventually get to the bottom and off the list after they restructure the etf.
They will remove it. Just like nasdaq did to a ravian.
Also they added Ford which imo will be a huge player in the future
This video gave me a great insight. Thank you! I hope I can get off this treadmill someday.
I think its interesting that I've been investing long enough to have a similar overall balance to you as your portfolio. It looks like a huge number, and it is, but I am close to that. Will be fun to hopefully cross $500k in like 2026.
my monster dividend portfolio is 100% $TSLA. For the untrained eye, a 0% dividend yield might be too low for it to be in a dividend portfolio. The trained eye will look at the cash flow growth rate and wonder what will they use all that cash after 2030? dividends/buybacks
Might be too low? Lol
As a Tesla shareholder myself I find this hilarious and TRUE
$TSLA holder since 2018 here. I wish I had bought more last December.
Why wait for TSLA to distribute dividends, and IF they ever do.
If you have 100,000 it’s better to invest it now and collect dividend over the next 10 years than to get dividends 10 years from now.
