I love these too but I figured out that limonene is a trigger for my rosacea. I’ve been reading about ingredients that irritate rosacea and essential oils and especially limonene are in a ton of skincare but terrible for us with sensitive skin. I’m using it just once a week just so it doesn’t go to waste. So glad you can enjoy it because it smells wonderful!
Merinda- yes- I was quite surprised that this was a go for me but my skin seems to really like it! At least you know what is triggering YOU- Limonene! I feel like my rosacea is triggered by something I eat- but I have not been able to completely pinpoint it. Always a journey... right??
Abby Bliss White it’s so hard to figure out what works and what doesn’t. I’ve been testing so many products in the past few weeks that my skin finally had enough. I pared down my routine to the most basic cleanser and moisturizer (La Roche-Posay) with some Niacinamide and am adding one item in back at a time by the week. I hope this is helpful for others;)
Hi Abby: My cleansing oil at night has been Tatcha camelia oil. I have used this for years and can't go without it! Have two coming as we speak......they have a 20% discount going on now. Yes....I use the Eve Lom cleansing cloths......they are great! :)
I love a luxurious feeling cleanser. I am definitely going to try the gel cleanser you mention. I am not keen on oil cleansers on the whole - my skin can react. It’s a great brand and makes cleansing like a treatment!
How does the Eve Lim balm compare to the Emma Hardie balm Abby? I love the EH one but considering trying this Eve Lim balm when I’m finished my current one.
Louise- I love the Emma Hardie Balm as well. I sort of bounce back and forth from EH and Eve LOM. They both have an herbal scent and are excellent for the skin. I would say that some people think the Eve Lom stings their eyes- but mine don't seem to be affected by it and the Eve Lom Balm does have mineral oil but my skin does not seem to mind it or have any issues-. I hope this helps. xoxo
Hi Abby, I've never used Eve Lom but your skin sure looked pretty after using them. I have a "few" balms I need to use up but definitely will be trying this. Thanks Abby! xxoo
Very informative Abby I have used the balm, however it’s not good around my eyes, it’s a bit stingy, but will try the pump balm. Getting through my Tata Harper which I really love too. 💖
Ronni- I have not seemed to have any issues but my daughter says the same thing. I do love Tata Harper too! I went through a BIG Tata Harper binge a few years back. xoxo
Having tried both (both are superb) , I lean Emma! Have you tried the Emma Hardie cleansing gel? How do you get the stains out of your muslin? Oh and lastly, try the Sarah Chapman skinesis Ultimate cleanse, it’s just lovely! ☺️
I have used the Eve Lom balm for years as well as their moisturizers and eye cream, they stay in my skincare rotation! What about the gel wash, would my dry skin like it? I need to buy the oil capsules for travel, what a brilliant idea!! Thank you so much for reviewing these new products!! XO
I love Eve Lom, Emma Hardie and Aurelia. I rotate them. I have been double cleansing before it became popular. Muslin cloths are sooo good. As you said, they exfoliate without stripping. Great video. Thank you.
Unbelievable Abby , I bought the cleansing gel balm and the most from eve lom a few days ago . I haven't tried them yet. But I am really anxious to. So I will let you know the next days ( by the way my name is Lamprini and I am from Greece but the lately 3 years I live in Austria ) 😁😉❤
Hi Abby, I wanted to tried the balm but have never tried because it has the mineral oil. I am so interested in trying the gel and oil and love the capsules being biodegradable. Do you still use the Biologique milk cleanser?
I really want to try this brand so bad. I was reading into it and it sounds so good ! Skin care for us Mature babes is a must. Do you know I have never actually washed my forehead with soap ?? Never. Only tonic and not once have I broke out. Not even one ! Ha ha ha love you. Thanks for this amazing review. I love the tatcha cleanser (green bootle forgot name. Ha )
Hi Abby, thank you for all that you have taught me and others. My daughter gets rare rosacea breakout but when it happens its really bad. For her 30th birthday I would like to buy her a face cleanser. She does not wear makeup nor does she have any am pm routine. Going to try and get her started. Can you help me???
Betsy- I am so sorry to hear this! No fun whatsoever! I would recommend a creamy cleanser. I love Biologique Recherche Lait VIP 02, Lait U or Lait E.V. I swear my skin improved once I started using a creamy cleanser. My daughter and I both loves REN Evercalm Cleansing Milk- go.magik.ly/ml/m1f6/ . I hope this helps. xoxo
Im like you Abby, I love a good balm. I'm using All Clean Heimish balm right now but I'd like to try the eve lom products out. eBay has some smaller sizes for smaller prizes that would work for me right now. Oh yeah, I've been using maelove and I'm so impressed!! My skin is looking so good but my diets changed too:)
Is there a scent? Approximately how long does the Balm last you? Thank you, the video was very informative. I had looked at her products but didn't have a clue how well they worked.
Mary- yes there is a distinct herbal scent - I actually like it - but you might want to see if you can find it in-store and give it a whiff first. The balm will last me about two months or more with daily use. I hope this helps! xoxo
I’ve been using the Retrouve cleansing balm and I really like it. But I travel a lot and it isn’t the most convenient packaging for that. I’ll have to check out the cleaning oil capsules - they seem very convenient!
Stephanie- I have been wanting to try the Retrouve! Is is amazing??? And yes- I had a BALM leak on my clothes during a trip in the Summer- heat and that is why I am so excited about these capsules!!! They are perfect for travel. xoxo
Abby Bliss White I think the Retrouve is great - very nourishing and moisturizing, and still effective. It looks like it’s a tub, but it has a pump on it. It’s still a balm, but it isn’t quite as thick as the Eve Lom. Because of the pump, I haven’t had any leaking, but when you’re traveling with a carry on, it’s a little bulky when I have so many other things I have to fit. I did contact the company and ask about a travel size and they very generously sent me a packet of samples to use when I travel. But I still think the Eve Lom capsules will be a better long-term travel option. If you try the Retrouve, let me know what you think of it.
Nice to see you receive these products to review for us. Haven't used the Eve Lom balm in a while but really like it. Lately I've been using the Good Molecules balm from Beautylish to remove my makeup. Not as luxurious, but much more reasonable and it seems very gentle in my skin. Thanks Abby!
Thank you Alisa!!! I will have to check out this Good Molecules Balm! I sort of bounce back and forth from Emma Hardie and Eve Lom . I feel lucky to have tried these products out because I do love Eve Lom!!!
