Thank you for this. I'm so tired of people pretending avoiding touching or moving your skin will prevent aging. Your skin sags and wrinkles because your body stops maintaning it like it did when you were young, just like greying hair, losing some muscle mass and changes in where fat is deposited. You don't get wrinkles because you used something other than your little finger to pat an eye cream in. And yes we all need some sun exposure, just not extended time baking in it.
Doesn't mean we can't treat our facial skin gently, which is the whole point. Wiping off make-up or being too rough with the skin can lead to sagging, especially around the eyes. Elastin is delicate and already battles cumulative sun damage and gravity. A light hand is always best when cleansing and removing makeup.
I have been using this for decades and am convinced the press and massage techniques that are described in the accompanying leaflet have helped delay any wrinkles and despite the hot and cold use of the muslin has not irritated or affected my rosacea. And I love the smell.

I used it many years ago because of the great reviews but I have to say there are plenty of cleansing balms that do exactly the same for you and even better, because they don’t have fragrance in it, which can be very irritating. Any of the first Korean brands have great ones (heimish all clean, banila and co clean it zero, beauty of joseon cleansing balm, etc.). Also the Clinique one, the biotherm one and the one from the Body Shop are great options, for a fraction of the EL price.
I use the clinique one, skin feels so clean and no fragrance
I LOVE the Clinique one. The oil is also amazing! I also agree about K-beauty brands. I’ve found several from KB brands that are really good!
I use the the Beauty of Joseon and have used it for over a year. I LOVE it!
I'm so happy that you didn't throw Elemis into the mix, it's so fragranced it literally hurt my eyes! Horrible stuff.
I feel I've tried them all and the Clinique reigns supreme. I find it better than the Banila co and Heimish.

My income is quite fixed and I shop strictly drugstore. Having said that, I really am enjoying the ELF Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm. 👍
You're right about being too gentle with our skin. I massage in products thoroughly. Our face has muscle underneath - and needs exercise and circulation boosters too.

i’m using the Eve Lom tinted moisturiser at the moment. Long discontinued but I still have three tubes of it and am treasuring it. It is the best tinted moisturiser I have ever used. I’ll go back to my Bobbi Brown one after, but very reluctantly. Saddened when Eve Lom was sold - thankful that they at least had the sense to keep the cleanser - it’s brilliant.

Wayne, I can't wait to see the video where you say what you've been doing the last few weeks. Your skin looks amazing!! Eve Lom is a great cleanser, no doubt. Two more affordable options for me are: Liz Earle Hot Cloth cleanser and Moo Goo Oil Cleanser. Neither will break the bank and are excellent to cleanse without stripping your skin of oils. I use a flannel for both, so you get a little exfoliating too. I agree - I massage it into my face too as it stimulates the muscles and circulation. x

Absolutely agree, it is the best cleanser. I used it switching between other cleansers, and thought it was just fine. Then i used only eve lom for a while just to finish it, and when i went back to clinique one (which i still like), i realised that eve lom was on a totally another level!
I had a sample of this a few years ago and it really was amazing. I couldn’t afford to buy regularly now but we’ll recommend 💖

Agree, I remember feeling sick buying my first 200ml ($198 here in NZ) as it was so expensive.I had been using the mini size which I got as Christmas stocking gift so I know it was money well spend, plus I didn't need all the other products either so it saved me money which was good.

Okay, you’re right! I have tried many cleansing balms. Some of them are excellent but not one compared to Eve Lom!! My skin feels and looks fabulous after using it. I need to bite the bullet and buy it again❤
I find the Drunk Elephant cleansing balm similar to the Eve Lom product at a lower $ range - you are such a gorgeous hunk, Wayne :) x

I completely agree. I flip and flop and always come back to it. I had a horrendous breakout and tried everything- it was getting worse. So I stopped it all, opened up the eve lom and within 2 days everything had settled down and within 7 my skin had healed and only had slight pink bits from the breakouts which had been red and firey. It is the original hot cloth cleanser and still agree it’s earned it’s iconic status. Liz Earle based her cleanse and polish on this . And the rest followed.

I tried other oil cleansers because this one’s expensive, but I’m going back to it because its so worth it.
It appears to be mainly mineral oil and paraffin! It is tested on animals (for me this is always a serious issue in any product) You look wonderful but money aside I would not use anything tested on animals ): but thank you for sharing
