- Ex-Marine sergeant, John Peck, says he will make the best of "our new arms" and will "drive on through the pain" to achieve career dreams, holding his girlfriend's hand.
I have all respect to the family and the man and the family that gave the arms to him
my dad recruited John and I am happy to see him coming along with his new arms
You shouldn’t be talking about him if that’s true.
So inspitational! So happy for him. He can pursue his dreams. Beautiful story.
This dude is a warrior and makes me so grateful for everything I have in my life. So glad to see him pushing through in good spirits. Hope he gets a special spot in heaven when he is done here on this earth.
Great speech John Peck..wish you the best!!!
I'm happy for him. :) And I hope the family of the donor is doing well.
He’s a beautiful guy, kind hearted and courageous. God bless him
How amazing it’s a true blessing that he has being given the gift .
What a lovely young man!!!
Wow I have never seen anything like this before, never seen arm transplants- that's absolutely amazing!
Seems like a really lovely guy, and I'm pleased he'll get a second chance to fulfill his dreams now he has two working arms.
god bless brother live your dreams
An *Awesome* Story!!! Thank You!!! =)
Awww, bless him.
well I guess I'll ad that to my donor card....thats amazing they can do that...
Osama B no your body is rotting away at the bottom of the fucking deep ass part of the ocean
How loving.🕂❣
Amazing
Honestly, I'd feel so odd having someone else's arms on me. It's still weird for me when it comes to organ transplants but organs are inside the body and not visible but arms on the other hand are visible and seeing someone else's hands every day would feel so foreign to me.
Ive had an amputated right leg due to cancer since I was 13 and I couldn't imagine having someone else's leg attached nor do I ever want this.
You would get used to it, as with everything humans do, we adapt and move forward. Your well placed to know that since you are missing a leg. Of course we have the choice, but say, you didnt have any choice and woke up like this, you would just get over it eventually and adapt to it.
cosmo_rebeljdal97 Luckily it isn’t you, and ur opinion on this is unimportant
@@noirblanque5324 right shame on her for not wanting to be Frankenstein
So sweet... GOD BLESS YOU! 😍
I cried ❤️
Thank god too because our lives are intligently coded in such a way that it gives access to doctors and scientists to make physical reparations to our bodies. Amazing that there is such order and possibilty in this life that we all live in and mostly take for granted.
God is so far off of the picture buddy, this is the real world now not some old wife's tales. Thank the doctors, the scientists and the therapists, that's all.
wow..... crazy
They could have matched the lengths better and elbow positions. wonder how finger prints would work now.
You say that like it’s so easy. This is a trial and error type deal. It’s hard to understand since you have no idea what it takes to do such a thing. The lack of intelligence is sad.
Im also looking for both hands transplant...May I know...how doni get donnar
How are those nerves even connected? i want to dig more into this, any suggestions?
According to the doctors, he does have regrow all the nerve connections which will be a long and painful process.
💘
this is so insane!!! it's amazing :))
To be honest I rather have bionicle arms than another's person
You wont have the same movements though
20-40 years to an entire full use of an arm that works the same if not better.
Nathan Fulkerson probably better, with more features. Maybe like supersonic fapping.
God bless u
My cousin lose his arm till to the shoulder and they like to put the arm again and it take 8 hrs the op put after 2 days he died. We make a autopsy put still waiting why he was dead. This happen in Kosovo. I hope somebody can help me and tell me why he can be dying in 2 days?
Infection
Please help me .... Kya libs transplant ho sakta hai....my baby ke....Please
.
.
He's very sad :'(
Does his hand can feel something when touching a thing?
do his arms work tho? are they ever going to work. how do you get donor arms? wouldn't they just rot off,
Med student here,
- Yes, they'll work (to what degree I don't know). It's even possible they'll almost completely work.
- How do you get donor arms? Same as most transplants. A waiting list and then hope for a donor to pop up.
- They won't rot off. There may be some infection/rejection issues but they won't just rot. They are connected via healthy tissue and arteries in the recipients arms. Healthy blood is being pumped through them and they will (hopefully) heal and function.
crazy, didn't even know that was possible
Nick Bozarth you don't wanna know
What if you were born with no arms can they transplant arms from a donor even if you've never had arms before and can u learn how to use them
I have a missing tooth and need a real tooth replacement.
its crazy to me that with all they can do these days they still haven't figured out how to grow new teeth or replace a tooth with a real tooth
what do you mean by wifes tales? I only said thank "god" or if y prefer a different term "force" to describe that which we cant describe that keeps me and you alive today communicating through the invisible internet. And defiently thank the doctors and scientists for doing good instead of doing evil. Which is what life is. Life its good. Thanks for your response and i do live in the real world and i make a daily effort to study the world i live in. I wish you the best.
How did this get even one dislike.
Why I never joined the army. (No pun)
wow but do they work? what happend
He was a Marine and stepped on an IUD ( land mine)and then rolled onto another one. He lost all 4 limbs.
@@alloy1100 An IED. An IUD is a whole different thing. Lol.
@@SchoeneTante lol....I just realised what I did. Ha he ha
Did the person with the arms he got from dead?
i mean it'd be kinda weird for an alive person to do it
Yes. Donated from the deceased persons family
Wouldn't the tattoos identify the donor?
That’s a little too creepy for me. I think I would’ve stuck it out and wait for a robotic artificial arm and hand like jacks on Mortal Kombat. Poor family I could imagine they wanting to touch there deceased son’s living arm for some Comfort from the tragedy.
MelanyRaulArya💋💋💋
There are several successful face transplant surgeries that deal with this very issue. The family of the donors come face to face to meet the person that now has the face of the loved one. I have included one link that the guy looks amazing afterwards.

"Poor family I could imagine they wanting to touch there deceased son’s living arm for some Comfort from the tragedy."
Oh yea I never even thought of that. That is quite shocking indeed.
His arms look death, can he move it?
Yes he can move them. It takes a while for the nerves to grow.
@44 secs "heart fuck"?
John Peck how are you doing these days? I hope life is doing you well. I’m guessing your living in a safe bubble but you are more the at risk people.
Talk about giving a man a hand why not arm wrestling
Wassup
they dont work at all !!!!!!! dohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
that is creepy looking lmao
I want to say this just is amazing but is it? Those arms look like they’re not even functional and it just looks weird I know that’s kind of rude to say but I don’t know if it’s worth it I would rather have a prosthetic I think
