    Honestly, I'd feel so odd having someone else's arms on me. It's still weird for me when it comes to organ transplants but organs are inside the body and not visible but arms on the other hand are visible and seeing someone else's hands every day would feel so foreign to me.

    • @liltrooper29

      Ive had an amputated right leg due to cancer since I was 13 and I couldn't imagine having someone else's leg attached nor do I ever want this.

    • @HoboTango
      @HoboTango 5 років тому +4

      You would get used to it, as with everything humans do, we adapt and move forward. Your well placed to know that since you are missing a leg. Of course we have the choice, but say, you didnt have any choice and woke up like this, you would just get over it eventually and adapt to it.

    Thank god too because our lives are intligently coded in such a way that it gives access to doctors and scientists to make physical reparations to our bodies. Amazing that there is such order and possibilty in this life that we all live in and mostly take for granted.

    • @jayparrish1
      @jayparrish1 7 років тому +29

      Med student here,
      - Yes, they'll work (to what degree I don't know). It's even possible they'll almost completely work.
      - How do you get donor arms? Same as most transplants. A waiting list and then hope for a donor to pop up.
      - They won't rot off. There may be some infection/rejection issues but they won't just rot. They are connected via healthy tissue and arteries in the recipients arms. Healthy blood is being pumped through them and they will (hopefully) heal and function.

I only said thank "god" or if y prefer a different term "force" to describe that which we cant describe that keeps me and you alive today communicating through the invisible internet. And defiently thank the doctors and scientists for doing good instead of doing evil. Which is what life is. Life its good. Thanks for your response and i do live in the real world and i make a daily effort to study the world i live in. I wish you the best.

    That’s a little too creepy for me. I think I would’ve stuck it out and wait for a robotic artificial arm and hand like jacks on Mortal Kombat. Poor family I could imagine they wanting to touch there deceased son’s living arm for some Comfort from the tragedy.

      There are several successful face transplant surgeries that deal with this very issue. The family of the donors come face to face to meet the person that now has the face of the loved one. I have included one link that the guy looks amazing afterwards.
