A word on crank breathers: I've never met an aftermarket one that was fit for purpose. One of them split in half on me and started making other stuff leak. Good times. Buy the volvo one.

Hi! We have a black 240. a 1993. we named it Ozzy. 147 k miles . triple black . Put on new tires, did brakes, ttrannsmission, beltas, ac charge, new IPD exhaust. Rear electric window sticks. Clear coat is thinning . No radio or speakers. (but still have them) Just the Volvo purrr. Salvage title. Hood replaced by previous collector owner. He had 2 Rolls' and a Ford GTO and a 57 Converrtable caddy or Impala too. Got Ozzy in the middle of the night. Ouch. We live in hot L.A. HOT! A little rust at bottom of left rear window. Probably loose window seals. Fogs up from rain too. But defroster works great. A/C recharged and still not too cold. We are part time musicians. Use it on weekends and band outings. Has a hint of a llmo vibe. Triple black hard to keep clean, but nice. Bought a car cover. Could really use a garage home. it's been an adventure, We may sell. Just smogged. We may sell to good home.
In some years of the Volvo 200 series the cable harness in the engine room went under the front crankshaft pulley from one side of the motor to the other side of the motor and with motor leaking oil that harness sometimes failed with all kinds of weird electrical faults.
Got to love those things, I saw your video and motivated me to mount the heater and a/c condenser box without taking out the dash. Sheeet 😂 To much heat here I’m melting!! Anyway great car tha 240, black interiors will be awesome. Volveta!!!
@@DeanofMachines by the initial look of the 240 it has more needs than speeds... If that will keep a positive attitude about the sedan, then by all means, yes!
Quite honestly, V8 swaps and extreme mods do nothing for me, so I am not too sad seeing that one go. The one you got isn't too terrible, except for those wheels. It is rougher than my daily driver which is a 92 244, but not by way too much.

Dang, nice car! I'd say swapping a shell for a running car is a upgrade. Non-ABS cars have two brake lines in the front, one for each piston. This plus one each of the rear brakes gives you 3 pistons / wheels per brake circuit. (Maybe you already knew? I can't pickup on sarcasm sometimes.)
You are correct! I appreciate you sharing the knowledge. I wouldn't consider it sarcasm, it's more of a bait for participation 😉 Thanks for coming back!
@@DeanofMachines well I mean they’re all new piles at one point.. maybe this one could be the OG “new pile” but like you said, something interesting about this one. 240's are awesome. The BMW wheels look good on it.
Its too bad they are egg shaped. We have some nicer wheels and tires for it!
@@DeanofMachines I was gonna point out that your wobble problem was mostly likely those wheels, or perhaps the spacers.
