You should be far more than reasonably happy with the lapwing flying!!

Thanks, could have been better though, but getting in looping in flight from in a hide is probably a bit ambitions!

Amazing video mate! It was a very enjoyable watch. There is a Tern raft near the Ken Barrett hide, today there were 7 or so Common Terns roosting (possibly nesting) on it. They might be the same Terns you saw.

Thanks, yes on a visit last week I spotted some Common tern activity over the rafts, but some Arctic Terns were reported on the Thames on the day this was filmed so I wimped out!

Lovely video Neil. Common Terns in my opinion although Arctic, Sandwich and Black have been reported in recent weeks. RSPB Rainham Marshes is a site that I know well. Always something to see at any time of the year but spring is brilliant.

Thanks, Ben spotted some Arctics over the Thames a bit later on so I wasnt 100% sure. Its a fab site :)

When I go to Rainham marshes I don't tend to see much so wondering do you do walking tours?, if not you should think about it as you'd be very popular!

Thanks, I would do but I don't think the RSPB would be very happy, as they run their own walks there :D :)

I don't shoot film, and I am always amazed at how much better the DOF is than a still image. I must look I to why that is.
Great range of wildlife. What lens were you shooting the jumping spider with?

      Thanks
The main reason for larger DOF is you are often shooting at smaller aperture - most of this is at f11, as my shutter speed is double the frame rate (1/50th at 25fps - normal speed) so I can get correct exposure at the narrower aperture, to allow for movement of the subject. Plus with 2 teleconvertors this set up is f11 anyway!
The lns for the jumping spider is the Laowa Macro Probe lens - a weird but wonderful lens :)
