Nice walk around, thanks for sharing 👍 enjoyed the footage of Rocky Robin, looked like it wanted to have a row and tell you to get off his patch!! Lovely reserve though, I've been quite a few times and always seen some interesting sights. All you need is a pair of bins, sandwich and a flask of tea and you're sorted! Saw my first kingfisher in that second hide that you visited, they nest around that area.
Hi JP, cracking video I really enjoyed it. The RSPB was my employer until yesterday. Couple of interesting facts.. 80% of the RSPBs work is done by volunteers almost a million hours last year. I shot 303s there as well. My favourite RSPB reserve is Arne in Dorset. Great shots of Mr Robin. The mobility scooters need booking ahead of a visit.
Darren Hurrell Thanks buddy! I’ve been going since it’s been open it’s a great place for a walk with the camera or binoculars I’ve had the robins feeding out of my hand so take a pocket full of bird seed 😉👌
JP Lamoureux I’m going to try and head over next few weeks. We get loads of birds in the garden including ring necked parakeets, and through winter go through kilos of food but so good to have them in the garden. We need to look after them mate.
JP Lamoureux I know the feeling. Suet sprinkles, sunflower hearts, peanut granules, mealworms as well as the usual seed mix, peanuts and suet cakes. Some of our feathered friends end up waddling off. Costs me a bloody fortune but wouldn’t have it any other way. Would love to see some footage of yours. I left a GoPro out on the feeding station last year. Will try it again.
JP, you been to Two Tree Island , Leigh on sea? Pretty good place for you to take your camera. Got loads of Waders , Geese, seen Barn Owls in the morning too. It’s a breeding ground for Avocets too. 👍 Laters Buddy !
I go to rainham marshes it's our local resverse in the winter it's really good you see wigeon teal shoveler pintail Canada goose lapwing redshank golden plover and even a bittern if your lucky and if your even lucky you see marsh hairrers and kestrels
Lovely place isn’t it, I’ve been going since it opened as a reserve and at 15 I shot there as a young army cadet it’s a real gem and some travel far and wide to go there, thanks for the comment and for watching it’s much appreciated 😉👍👌
