If we see and learn from how he accidentally wasted food, then we might avoid wasting food in our own experiments. (Although, more to the point, I just think those videos would be generally informative about cooking.)

I would also make a variation of your potatoes, by sort of twisting it instead of the straight so it looks like some stacked squares to make a 8 point star like shape. This may or may not work well, on one hand it would be possible to have extremely crunchy corners, on the other hand it can just burn before the rest of the potato cooks thru.
