Just listening to the podcast it kinda feels like Conan's just confronting Jack the whole time but in video you can see Jack's amazing facial expressions showing that he's really in on the joke
As soon as he said “is it fair for me to say…” we ALL knew what was coming! Hahahaha! That was an awesome story, Jack. You’re such a great storyteller!
It was "I just wandered around the building all night. I didn't run into another single living soul.... except one gigantic lesbian.... Who is conan obrien and why is she so sad?" lol
I first saw Jack on the second city stage in Chicago. He was completely unknown at that time but outrageously funny. Seeing him on 30 rock years later always made me smile. Such a good guy and great talent. So happy to see him go far!
Jack is one of like four people that I am legitimate happy for them that they struck gold and their luck was positive in reaching celebrity status. Conan is the first of those four people in my book. I salute you both.
Absolutely love this! Jack is like the polar opposite of the great Jordan Schlansky and I love Conan' Dynamic with them both. Indeed everyone he works with.
Did anyone else LOVE when both Sona and Matt started to literally Chant "No-no-no-no-no-no" immediately after Conan started taking credit for Jack's successful audition???😂😂😂😂😂
Conan is a comedy, witty genius & he does this things on purpose to make the podcast fun. Conan definately knew that if he says about taking credit, sona & matt would chime in with their funny bit. This is the reason why conan's podcast is so popular & still on top after years & much better than thousands of podcasts out there.
I feel like he can really let loose and his improv style comedy really shines. To me it's way funnier and more personal than the late night style shows generally are.
Kevin Dorf and John Glaser went on to be 2 of my favorite writers and characters at Late Night. Glaser was Segway Sam & one of the Slipnutz trio and Dorf was the bartender at "Joe's"
I love that Jack knows the show so well. 30 Rock is my favourite show of all time, I watch it obsessively since it released and can remember all these lines but I don't have much of a life or career. It must have meant a lot to him and I love that.
It’s such a great show. It has so many layers of jokes that you need to rewatch it a few times because you were only laughing at layer 1 and missed layer 2, 3 and 4. The scenes between jack and Wil Arnett were spectacularly funny. Omg! 😂😂😂😂
So much of life is human connection. They used to say that it isn’t what you know, but who you know. Thank goodness, Jack is proof. I would never suggest that Jack is nothing less than exceptional. Many exceptional artists die in obscurity, every day.
The more I listen to it, the more I am sure that to me, this is the best episode of the entire podcast series so far. The only "weak" part is the outro and even that was ahead of the curve.
I've never seen Conan struggle so hard to hold a serious conversation with a guest more than he has with Jack. You can tell he's itching to get to jokes and roasts but has to hold down some Podcast content as displayed by this video. He couldn't even let Jack finish any of his stories
I first encountered Jack McBrayer in Wander Over Yonder, and when I first saw him in a Conan interview, was delighted to find out he was at least 75% just that cartoon character 😂
I met Jack in 2003 before he was on 30 Rock (not sure if he had cameo'd on Conan yet). He was already doing the "intern/page" character though at a weekly live comedy show called Automatic Vaudeville, which Paul Scheer hosted at the Ars Nova in NYC. Fred Armisen used to show up at that show a lot, too, with some of the young SNL castmates. Good times. Such a nice guy.
On the 2010 The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour, Conan had surprise guests come out in each city. I saw the Atlanta show, and he brought out Jack! 🤩
Hearing Jack's origin story was sooo gratifying, after the many false starts/interruptions from Conan. Thanks to Sona and Matt for shouting Conan down on this one!
Without a doubt one of my favourite lines in 30 Rock - "Didn't run into another living soul. Except one GIGANTIC lesbian. Who is Conan O'Brien, and why is she so sad?"
Season 2, Episode 12 is the Tim Conway joke episode just fyi. The line is: "Well I never left actually. I just wandered around the building all night. Didn't run into another single living soul. Except one gigantic lesbian.........who is Conan O'Brien and why is she so sad?". Conway's delivery is just perfect!
Jack was so incredibly funny helping out with some bits on John Oliver's "Last Week Tonight" where they were making fun of Alex Jones and Info Wars and the crap supplements they sell. Jack did a spot on satire of the quack, pretend, doctor that endorses the snake oil. He was so funny! I'd love to see him and Rachel Dratch team up for some comedy show or movie.
I had something about the Tim Conway bit, but i am (transparency) drunk. I lost it. I just want to say that I am an old, and I remember Tim Conway. I have seen his stand up. He is funny. Truly funny.
For everyone asking for a reason why people want full episodes posted to UA-cam, Jack McBrayer is a perfect reason.
Just listening to the podcast it kinda feels like Conan's just confronting Jack the whole time but in video you can see Jack's amazing facial expressions showing that he's really in on the joke
YES
@@donslyuckus how dense are you?
@@donslyuckus definitely can see that, but this is a bit they’ve been doing for 2 decades haha. Jack is definitely a willing participant
Exactly
As soon as he said “is it fair for me to say…” we ALL knew what was coming! Hahahaha! That was an awesome story, Jack. You’re such a great storyteller!
"You used MY PEOPLE" cracked me up. 😂😂
It was "I just wandered around the building all night. I didn't run into another single living soul.... except one gigantic lesbian.... Who is conan obrien and why is she so sad?" lol
God i love and miss 30 rock
Also i love Conan's willingness to be the butt of the shows jokes, because of jack McBreyer and because Tina and Conan used to date
@@TheMrEpiphany Did they actually used to date? Wasn't that just a plot on the show?
@@Norsilca They lost their virginity to each other
@@hi-vv3jo lol, they were *going* to. Now he'll never lose it!
Jack Mcbrayer's voice and the way he speaks is just so soothing and comforting.
When he said he doesn't drink coffee I thought " I don't drink coffee sir, I don't drink hot liquids of any kind. That's the devil's temperature " 😂
At least he's no longer in his Coke phase.
I first saw Jack on the second city stage in Chicago. He was completely unknown at that time but outrageously funny. Seeing him on 30 rock years later always made me smile. Such a good guy and great talent. So happy to see him go far!
it's so amazing how they are so in sync. The moment Conan said "is it fair for me to say..." and they all like IMMEDIATELY knew where that was going.
5:51 - I love how everyone immediately dismisses Conan for contributing to Jack's success 😂
He wasn't even finished his sentence yet they already know what was coming LOL
Before he even gets it out. 🤣
That was my absolute favorite. Everyone including me knew what was coming next from Conan!! 😂
the subtitle lol "everyone groaning at Conan"
@@kwombok Groanan.
Jack is one of like four people that I am legitimate happy for them that they struck gold and their luck was positive in reaching celebrity status. Conan is the first of those four people in my book. I salute you both.
Who are the other two?
I love that he's just as sweet and wholesome as you'd hope he'd be
Jack is the kinda guy you root for to be successful, and so glad he is!
Absolutely love this! Jack is like the polar opposite of the great Jordan Schlansky and I love Conan' Dynamic with them both. Indeed everyone he works with.
This is the most I've ever seen of Jack's actual personality; what a pleasant guy! I enjoyed this thoroughly.
He is really going to outlive us all
Well of course! Did he tell you about the time a young Shirley Temple taught him how to roll a cigarette?
I laughed so hard throughout this episode. Jack is outrageously funny.

I caught this listening to it in the background at work. They were so quick. Haha
Even Jack immediately jumped in with the "noooo you didn't" as well lol
I literally did the same. Conan will always be Conan xD
Jack is so sweet, loved him on 30 Rock 😆
I was honestly so sad when Conan ended his TBS show but this format is so much better.
I don't know about better, but it's still quite nice to see him.
I imagine he employs 90% less people than the TBS team coco.
I feel like he can really let loose and his improv style comedy really shines. To me it's way funnier and more personal than the late night style shows generally are.
@@jerryballstein I agree
30 Rock was so awesome. Loved every episode.
I think my favourite episode was when Kenneth was going back home and all the cast did midnight train to Georgia. It was just done so well
Every time Jack McBrayer laughs, an Angel gets its wings.
This entire interview was great. Him & Conan's relationship was hilarious. Love Jack ever since I watched 30 Rock years ago. Funny & humble man.
Kevin Dorf and John Glaser went on to be 2 of my favorite writers and characters at Late Night. Glaser was Segway Sam & one of the Slipnutz trio and Dorf was the bartender at "Joe's"

I just realized that Conan and Jack's hair and skin color are almost exactly inverted and i have no idea what to make of that
Bruh 🤣
His character on 30 rock is one of the best to ever be commuted to film
The more I listen to it, the more I am sure that to me, this is the best episode of the entire podcast series so far. The only "weak" part is the outro and even that was ahead of the curve.
Jack's "Wait, what?" Was perfect timing
Jack is one of the truest, greatest American artists.💐💐💐
Jack seems to know every line from every episode from every season by heart!

That and Jack is so incredibly kind and sweet that even Conan can’t get any jabs in without remorse
Kevin Nealon…you’re gonna luv it
KEVIN NEALON!
I'm so glad Conan won't stop giving us more content 😌 🙌 🙏 Conan= Life
I admittedly stopped watching the talk show on tbs and I’d watched him for decades and then the podcast just brought me right back in.
Lol, agreed

Sona cackling at the tall lesbian joke made my day.
But why is she so sad?
On the 2010 The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour, Conan had surprise guests come out in each city. I saw the Atlanta show, and he brought out Jack! 🤩
This was all so great!!!! But, hearing the Late, Great Tim Conway line just sealed it for me! DAMN THAT WAS FUNNY!!!
He is awesome in Wreck-It Ralph
He was perfect for Fix it Felix , loved that movie.
Hearing Jack's origin story was sooo gratifying, after the many false starts/interruptions from Conan. Thanks to Sona and Matt for shouting Conan down on this one!
Jack really seems like he has an encyclopedic memory; he knew what episode conan was on 30 rock, and he knew what DATE Alec Baldwin hosted SNL
Yes, I’ve noticed it too! In another video from this podcast he is also telling exact days of events. Impressive!
I won't be surprised if he keeps some kind of journal.
Man, 30 rock started in '06. Conan left nbc in '09. Time really just moves like water through hands, don't it? Ahh I'm tired of aging.
I’m glad we got lucky with the genius we did. I feel like while some things have raised the bar the broader popular stuff got worse.
I love that last joke even more bc of how much Sona enjoyed it hahahha
He's so funny. I love his character on 30 Rock.
Best episode yet, dare i say, I believe it can’t be topped. I’ve never smiled and laughed so hard.
30 rock basically raised me and a part of the reason my humor is off putting and absurd 😅 thank you Tina fey 🙏🏻
I could listen to Jack McBrayer all day long.
How is this man nearly 50 years old?!
Jack is super eloquent!
it would be awesome if the whole episode was available to watch on youtube.
He's CLASSIC & GENU8NE
Without a doubt one of my favourite lines in 30 Rock - "Didn't run into another living soul. Except one GIGANTIC lesbian. Who is Conan O'Brien, and why is she so sad?"
This is the one episode where I spit laugh more than twice. Favourite.
Sona's laugh at the "tall lesbian" part is too much. lol!
"Is it fair for me to sa-"
"NO!" 😂
He's like the only one that can ignore the improve rule of saying 'no' or disagreeing with people.
One of my favourite episodes - these 2 together is gold. Sona, Matt and Jack against Conan is platinum.
Easily in my top five best episodes for the podcast! Conan and Jack just have hilarious chemistry! 😂
I am a sucker for people’s voices and I absolutely love Jack’s southern accent. Smooth like southern whiskey
I am enamored with Jack’s smooth southern voice
Sona cracking up at the expense of Conan is cracking me up. ROTF!
Jack is my new fav person on Conans podcast.
This made me feel nostalgic for the good old days of Conan in NBC and New York until he left in 2009, and I wasn't even watching then lol.
Conan brings out the best in people.
"I just... love television so much."
Happy Birthday, Jack!
Could you imagine blowing the audition for a part that was written for you lol
I'm going to watch the entire interview.
The love I have for Jack McBrayer and Conan and Sona

His bit with Triumph the insult comic dog was brilliant.
Wow, I thought his page character on Conan came from 30Rock, not the other way around.
THIS GUYYYYY - and the insult dog at the hot dog resto in chicago !! = AMAZING !!
PLEASE POST THIS FULL EPISODE HERE! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE
He reminds me of the Mormons walking in NYC. There is a wholesomeness to them different than other people.
That's gold baby, gold!
Oh man, I was in boot camp in Great Lakes during that heat wave; that was no joke.
“Is it fair for me to sayyyy…-NOOOOO NO! nooo no!”
I always thought he talked like that for the TV show
@6:54 Matt's subtle "ugh" 😂
Jack has such a good memory!
Jack McBrayer can totally play Huell Howser in a biopic and host California’s Gold.
Season 2, Episode 12 is the Tim Conway joke episode just fyi. The line is: "Well I never left actually. I just wandered around the building all night. Didn't run into another single living soul. the best and funniest Conan reference in 30 Rock will always be Khonani.
Tim Conway of course crushed it on his guest appearance. I have all the DvDs. I've watched the series straight through at least five times.

We need to hear more of Arnold at the end of this episode!
Yes!! I just finished the episode and I want more Arnold (and Rosie)!
Well I'm just gonna come right out and say it, Jack McBrayer is an American treasure.
When Jack went to the angry diner for Conan, that was the best. No, not quite but 2nd to only Triumph sitting all over that same hostess.
You know Jack is a true southerner when he uses words like gussied
Why did I waste my time listening to the podcast version? This is soooo much better! Kazuo from Tokyo 🎉
5:51 I want this as a ringtone.
Ahh pure joy
I had no idea his laugh was like that in real life and I also didn’t know he was very similar to his 30 Rock character
Yep. They're the same guy.
Who can't relate to curing nervousness by wearing a guitar
I loved this episode! laughs all the way right to the end with the guy from Kentucky .
Jack
Fire the audio guy. Jack's volume needs to go up!!!
