THIS IS CRAZY, and A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME. I cannot believe someone I follow so diligently and whole heartedly featured my picture at the end. This just boosted up my motivation to work and perfect the eye for finesse to be as good as you someday. All in all, your work is amazing and something we all idealize. You just made my day! Stay well and safe, Skyler! :) Amazing tutorial, as always, goes without saying :D
I am so glad you still make videos. I just love your channel. I’m not a photographer but I am falling in love with it and your are a very definite catalyst for that. Thank you for all you do x
Rotating the light across the cap, very nice. I haven't played with that or slow-mo yet. You seriously make me want to do better work. Not there yet but this week getting an HDMI to HDMI micro for tethering on a budget. Very, very excited about that. Macro lens ... ah, that's the dream. Yes, the layers you did, brilliant. Thank you for the work you do. Cheers and boogie boogie, Ivy.
Damn, no, I mean DAMN!!! Man, your way of thinking amazes me. I'm new to your channel and food/product photography isn't my cup of tea, but I really like how you do it. Thanks a lot for your videos. Best regards from Mother Russia.
This is really amazing, fantastic video and wonderful result ! Just one tiny thing though if I may : the final picture is not perfectly straight, it is slightly tilted towards the left :/
You sir just gave me a TON of inspiration for my next product shots, thank you! You explain well, but I do have one thing to ask... where did you get that awesome reflective "table top"?
I just love your food videos as product videos! They are awesome. . . I get confused when i click on camera use for video and link to Fuji xt-30? And please tell what macro lens did you use? Thanks for responds in advance!
This is super valuable man nice work. Would love a preomiere pro more in depth tutorial behind one of your product shoots. FYI I would suggest more product shoots as well lol. You really could be working with some big brands from what I see because of your video and photo background, it brings another element that some folks aren’t bringing. Very well done
I have a question, I love your final output, but I did wonder if the client commented on the darkness of the product name on the bottle's lower front. If they were to want it brighter, how would you address it? Thanks, Mark
I don't think they had a problem, I didn't ask, but I think it would depend on the style you're going for and the companies brand guidelines. Or even up to the art director on set. If after the fact, they made a comment however, I would go into Adobe Premiere (the editing software I used here) and either raise the shadows locally or maybe even globally if that looked good.
Great video. Was interested to see how you worked through a graphical solution. I've toyed with the idea of adding some product shots to my skills. No better time than now. Thanks for sharing and making it look nicely satisfying.
Have to say what a beautiful tutorial , I’m a fashion photographer but always appreciate the talent that goes into product/food photography. Beautifully done. I have a somewhat low level question though, lovely to see you using a Fuji XT3 for the video side of things, they’re a small box packed full of a lot of spec.... my question, why did you switch to a canon 5D for the stills instead of sticking with the Fujifilm XT3, especially as you wanted to match the look and colour? ;) Thanks again and you have another subscriber. :)
I think it's a 5dsr judging from his other videos. So it's either a resolution thing or because he already has all the accessories to shoot with it (he shoots with a remote shutter and also shoots tethered).
Yeah I prefer shooting with the 5Ds because I don't have the same focal length lenses in Fuji that completely match what I'm used to with my Canon. I also shoot tethered and I don't have that cable yet for my Fuji. And I'm making a video so I need one camera to film and one camera to shoot (probably the best answer as to why) If I wasn't making a video, then I technically could shoot with whatever camera I wanted.
hey man, great vid as always! :) can you tell me with ballhead you use here for photography? i like this clicky attach to the camera and it seems very stable when locked vertically! thanks!
I just start to make product and food photography. I like you content but your gear is quit expensive, is there a video with non expensive gear ? and which one you recommend? light setup etc?
That was very informative, thank you. Also nice to see a fellow Fuji shooter. Question though - what lens were you using on the Fuji for the video portion? It looked like a Canon but I really wasn't able to tell? I've struggled a bit with trying product video in terms of choosing the right focal length.
thanks!! yeah they were canon lenses, the 100mm f2.8L lens to be exact. I'm using the Fringer EF-FX Pro adapter. You can find it in my description I believe in the WeEatTogether store link
Great video! Loved the light solution. Could u explain a little bit about your xt3 settings for this type of video? I can't get this clear images ! Is it flog or standard profile?
Clicked your Video lights link and it says can't find that page.... just so you know... You said you use Godox SL60B for videos, I think I will go with SL60W (no battery version, much more affordable to me, should be same I guess)

Does the xt-3 has 120fps? The B&H site does not include it on the specs.
Very nice!
Thank you Very much sir.
Thank you! Great video,
Is that the Fuji XT3? Nice. What lenses do you use for this kind of stuff and for UA-cam content?
I use a mix of fuji and canon lenses. Too many to list, but mostly fixed focal length lenses.
We Eat Together awesome! What made you choose the Fuji as your system of choice?
Pretty good geometry
Nice and inspiring video. greetings from Turkey.
