Those who have followed Steffi's whole career will find hard to follow WTA right now. Today women's tennis hardly have any dominate player & hardly any classic rivalry.
@@tobiasisback4605 Serena won 15 of her slams post-2007 with no all-time greats in the fields. And never faced a top 10 ATG in any slam final. Steffi did this 13 times. Anyway, Steffi won 6 of 6 slams she played in 1995/96 while under criminal investigation for tax evasion, 4 of them when her dad was in prison. Which is maybe the greatest achievement ever in women's tennis. Seles would have committed suicide under those circumstances. But Steffi was a tough cookie and not a fragile flower. Steffi beat Fernandez, Novotna, Sukova, Sanchez in slam finals during Seles's absence. Same Fernandez who had match point against Seles in the AO 91 semi finals, losing with 36 60 79 in the end. Same Novotna who was one of the best grass courters of the open era and who lost one slam final to Seles. Same Sukova who denied Navratilova the Grand Slam in 1984. Same Sanchez who beat Seles in the FO 98 final and who lost 2 slam finals to Seles. Seles won HER 9 slams against Fernandez, Novotna, Sanchez (2), Huber, 34-year-old Navratilova. And 3 against a slumping Steffi (all on slow courts). Nothing to brag about.
@@tobiasisback4605 My post was 90 % verifiable facts. 10 % were opinions. Which of them annoyed you so much? 1) That winning 6 of 6 slams while under criminal investigation might be the greatest achievement ever in women’s tennis? 2) That Seles would have committed suicide in the same situation? 3) That Novotna was one of the best grass courters of the open era? 4) That the list of Seles‘s slam final opponents was nothing to brag about?
Gracias por el partido y por tu vuelta con nosotros!!! Ojalá nos sigas sorprendiendo con joyas nuevas de Arantxa, Graf, Seles y Martina!!!
Steffi eye candy as always!
Arantxa licorice 😊

I always used to love it when Arantxa would randomly blast a forehand or backward harder than anyone else on the tour! 4:04
