    I’m confused, why are you masking then cleansing? Shouldn’t you wash your face before doing a mask, so that you’re applying it to a clean slate rather than skin that’s got sebum, dirt, pollution etc on it ?

      they use the mask before because it’s a wash off so its not going to stay on the face :)

    I wish I could use these products, but my skin is so sensitive to glycolic acid. It always irritates my skin and makes it red. 😔
    I also have acne so it's difficult to find acne products for sensitive skin.

    I know I am late to this video, but I have a question about using wash-off mask before cleansing. I just want to make sure I understand if that should only be done with moisturizing masks? Like clay masks and mud masks aren't included, or are they?

      And what about brightening masks?

    • @Glowrecipe

      Hi Marie! We can only speak to our products in this regard since each brand has unique products meant to be used in specific ways. Our overnight masks can be used as 10-minute flash masks, and are both hydrators and mild exfoliators. 🥰

    shouldnt we have washed the face first ?

    • @Glowrecipe
      @Glowrecipe  5 років тому +18

      When using a wash-off mask, you'll want to apply it before the rest of your routine, since it needs to be washed off and you wouldn't' want to over-cleanse 💕

      Because this is a morning routine, I generally think it’s ok to apply the mask first. If it was a nighttime, then you would cleanse first.

    Guys... this aint it. 1) She should've washed the skin before applying the mask that would've been alot better for the skin 2) Applying serum for highlight? Questionable

    • @Glowrecipe
      @Glowrecipe  5 років тому +14

      Hi there! Wash-off masks should be used prior to cleansing, so you do not have to cleanse the skin twice. Mixing serums with makeup products or using them alone to create a natural highlight has been a longtime practice by makeup artists and models looking to achieve the natural "glass skin" look.
