The sole reason I will not play this game is weapon swapping. I like to use my abilities when they are ready and not have to worry about being time gated when swapping back and forth between weapons.
Why would anyone pay the idiot devs in ANet for their total incompetence and utter stupidity? They have wandered off the original concept of GW2 so badly. Have made extremely bad decisions. Here's hoping it goes the way of Wild Star and gets shit canned by NCSoft.
Oh god, that would be amazing. I remember when Living World Season 4 came out and we saw actual Dervishes and Paragons in GW2. I was almost certain they would release them as a profession at one point.
As much as i would love to see new profession in gw2, they already added elit specializations that kinda reminds these professions and their additions would be, in my opinion, kinda redundant. Ritualist is like a Scourge a little and Dervish seems to be a mix of reaper and maybe elementalist. I dunno. I was thinking that maybe they should come with a brand new concept, like astrologians in final fantasy, for example. That would be nice, playing with cards. Or some kind of mimic profession, or even some martial arts one.
Ahhhh, see, there you go. I was unaware of that. That's why I said, "Not playable anymore to my knowledge." I could not find it in-game and could not find it on the Wiki. Do players still play it?
@@Kyosika Yeah, it's a bit of an awkward mix of players tho imo. Like I said, it's a check box in the top right that is automatically checked, so you often get 1. a lot of brand new/first time pvp players, 2. players that love the mode and will usually steamroll new players, and 3. guilds doing pvp guild missions that are coordinated enough to dominate new players and go toe-to-toe vs a few experienced players.
I did Stronghold to get my decade's cape. I enjoy it more than the glorified king of the hill mode that is conquest, but that might be due to the lack of tryhards.
Looking forward to it. Are Spears going to be both land and water weapons? Anyone know? I’d also like some extra personal storage in the homestead. Looks good tho.
I'm most interested in the new Raid wing, and hoping that the narrative of the story will be interesting and well implemented. Having the Raid wing integrated with the story and available either in the Open World, or in a PvE instance with 25 to 50 players entered through a public portal on a timer, will be an improvement and give non-Raiders a chance to experience the story content that is within the Raid map(s). I think the home instance and new crafting skill that will come with it, should be good for Anet, even though I'm not personally excited about it, and I would have been okay with just being able to decorate our existing home instances in each racial city.
Great idea! ArenaNet did this before, somewhat! If you look at Stronghold of the Faithful, which was released in Season 3, you see a White Mantle storyline that was also the focus of Season 3 at the time. However, the storyline in the raid was not necessary for the story.
You forgot an 8th reason, grizzly bear kodan! xD In all seriousness though I do weekly raids with some friends, usually just whatever the emboldened and money are because we don't have that much time, but I'm very excited for a new one to be added into that rotation.
As a WvW player I am not that excited about this expansion. Have not played that much of the last expansion. Not sure what housing will do to my GW2 experience and I never raid and can't see this changing. We do need more maps in WvW.
@@Kyosika I was involved in a chase of one enemy player with about thirty of us. We were on War Claws and the enemy players weren't. The chase covered a large area in EB and we could not catch him. The War Claw has been nurfed for so long in WvW that any change could be an improvement but I will not be holding my breath that it will happen. Remember the War Claw is the slowest mount in the game.
I don’t play WvW but would like to add the warclaw to my mounts for completion. It won’t add any significant abilities like you mentioned but it’s a mount slot that I haven’t activated. Plus warclaw has some really cool skins!
Do you think the legendary starter kit will switch to saying janthir needed? I don’t have soto yet so i kinda of want to buy the expansion that has the starter kit
Some advice for the raiders: they already told that they will make new raids only if people play it. Because this kind of game mode need a lot of resources. So, be nice to new people and don't be a meta slave. People wanna have fun, not have necessarily the shiniest equips in the shorter time possible.
Honestly I want it to be a new elite spec, I’m dying for new abilities and or changing old elite specs to be less locked with the elite specs, I just want customization super badly. New weapon IS nice but with the same other abilities? Ehh.. I want a whole new bar.
Maybe its just me, but ever since SOTE, i felt like the classes lost a lot of their identity. Now everyone does a little bet of everything so the only real choice is what color you want the aoe to be lol
as far as specs go I don't feel like it, I mean, specs usually have some lore to relate to, good animations or style according to the class and if they also make my class do a bit of everything without the need of changing classes (MMO balance nightmare) I'm absolutely in, but what kills it for me and maybe its an unpopular opinion is seeing a guardian with a pistol or a necro with a sword LOL
I know they've only had a year between releases, but really... a spear as the only new gameplay? They need to stop with the "new" weapons and make a damn profession already!
This is not a popular opinion. If they add new Elite Specializations too quickly it will make balance too difficult and negatively impact both PvP and PvE.
@@talzumon101 They're not radically different from each other, still share 70% of mechanics with base. In any case I will take a new spec over a new single weapon.
@@nautilazI second this. Elites share too much of the core profession's skills and gameplay. Yeah they do change it up, but they need their own complete set of traits, skills and weapons. A Chronomancer (time wizard) shouldn't have any core Mesmer skills and abilities.
IF you do not like to do "Jumping puzzle" gw2 not your game you will be MADE to do alot them just to get your mountS its was not fun more like sucking on tolet set and would not wish it on any one it sucks to be made to do Jumping puzzle when you buy the game for having fun and find yourself pissed off do doing the Jumping puzzle crap just to get your mount not worth it i would not buy it again

Many players have! Like I said, I'm rather in the open world but the Homesteads look amazing.
what i would like is to have 2 professions back Ritualist and Dervish
Oh god, that would be amazing. I remember when Living World Season 4 came out and we saw actual Dervishes and Paragons in GW2. I was almost certain they would release them as a profession at one point.
Dervish + Elementalist was OP

Stronghold is still playable, you just check the box when you queue for unranked. It's on by default so a lot of 1st time players are in the mode.

Yeah! They are already underwater weapons. But you can now use them on land too!
@@Kyosika not exactly. Not every class use spears when in water. Also, you'll need two spears if your class already use spears underwater.
I'm very excited, but i have to save up my money for 3 months to buy this expansion. I hope it's worth it.
Best to wait a few weeks/months then and watch a lot of UA-cam/Twitch and see if you like it!

Yeah, it rotates every refresh!
The new warclaw skin is probably a WV unlock.
Nope!
how exactly is the Vault being expanded upon? (besides the obvious seasonal rewards)
That's it. It will get new rewards based on the expansion. Maybe I was unclear. I doubt it will be bigger. Perhaps a category for the new expansion.

I believe there is a new raid coming later this year or early 2025.
I hope they give decent buffs for getting warclaw twice. Im yet to get the skyscale the long way because the buffs are barely worth it.
So far, the Warclaw has nice abilities!

We got the spear! It is pretty good. What are your thoughts?
I'm really excited but the release a mere week prior to The War Within is more than unfortunate.
Agree. Playing WoW for a bit now and planning to get the WoW expac later this year.
They might have picked the wrong date to release this especially since 2 days later the new wow expansion releases
I agree haha! Currently playing a bit of WoW before the new GW2 expac
do you need to buy dlc to pay this properly?
Yes. One time purchase, no subscription! Base game is free!
Id love to play but got no friends that do 😅
doesn't matter. join a nice and friendly guild and you will have friends in no time.
I rarely play this game with IRL friends! Mainly with guilds! Go to Lion's Arch, there are always guilds advertising! :)
