David Escimilla is one of the best screamers I have ever heard. This song is nothing but proof, and the fact that he sounds exactly like this live is what makes him one of the best.
The old version + the old girl vocals were better in my opinion... I wish Crown The Empire left their EP material alone. Can't fix what's not broken. Wish they took that saying into consideration before recreating their old work.
SuperTurboTurkey Lmao wtf? The only thing that sounds better in the old one than the new one is the chorus. The girl part easily sounds better with the re issue. But what really annoys me is the fact you are bitching they remade something. You still got the old ep to listen to, and then there is the new one. how the hell is that a problem? The reissue is great and doesnt have auto tune everywhere.
SuperTurboTurkey You're a fucking idiot who had to think of a reply for months. Not only that but scene kid? The fuck I'm pretty sure I'm older than you & I don't even dress scene at all. Fuck up tool.
This version is a lot cleaner. Sounds more like he's actually into the singing and the screaming. In my opinion this is a lot better than the EP version.
Dave is the sickest screamer in this genre at the moment. He is even better live IMO. He can hit any scream at any time and hold it for what seems like forever. Dude is a monster. Andy sounds incredible live as well. Andy does this low scream live that adds to Dave's perfect crisp screams and just makes any breakdown so brutal. I would highly recommend seeing them live if you haven't already.
Steven Rozeboom Hranica is losing his screams well atleast it sounds like on the record. Sam Carter isn't too bad but I'd prefer Dave and Mike over Sam.
Dave sounds like he's trying way harder on his screams in these songs. It sounds like he's putting so much more strength behind his vocals rather than just doing the screams. They sound pretty fuckin' amazing.
At first I decided that the original was way better. I mean, why would they ruin the perfection of the original EP? After much thought and listening to every song a lot, I think the reissue is better. The production quality is way better. and Andy is singing in the range that they do it live. They lower it for live performance anyway right? So, Im a fan. and I am jamming hard to these songs. Plus Dave sounds SO SICK!
I personally love the reissue over the original because i like Andrews clean vocals and runs now as opposed to before when he used a lot of auto tune. Its so much more impressive to hear his voice naturally truly proving his vocal talent.
honestly I didn't expect them to pull of a re-vamp of voices you cant get that song a second time its a song you just cant change because it was too good so I don't criticize this version .Overall got the reissue like 5 minutes after it came out been rocking it whole day REPLAY REPLAY REPLAY!!!
For everyone saying that this is shit and Andy doesn't sound the same... Look, if he sounded exactly the same, there would be no reason for a re-issue (which if you listen to Lead Me Out of the Dark.. You know he still got it). Besides, this is great for people that haven't got lucky enough to hear CTE yet and can now buy them both the EP and full album for only $10... Also, this means they are definitely going to play the songs in Concert with Dave the Sickest screamer out there. This shit is refreshing and CTE is and will always be the best. (In My Opinion)
They always played their old stuff... when they played South by So What they played 3 songs from Limitless ha. And Lead Me Out of The Dark was not re recorded btw
actually it was re-recorded. They just didn't change anything about it. But he re-sang it.. His highs are a tad cleaner and the piano is deeper in this one.
Everything about Crown the Empire is the same since since Limitless came out with the exception of the addition of Dave. Lowering the key of the songs does not make them refreshed.
Voices off of Limitless was and is one of my favorite songs of all time. All of the reissues sound like half speed and no heart was put into them. They seem like they didn't give a shit whether or not they did it, as long as they got the reissue out and got their paycheck
The screams in this version are incredible, and I really like the different pitches they use, but really, how much harder can you sing than limitless? Give this song its own merits and you might like it too
andy and david both do cleans and screams really well. it's a shame they don't take advantage of that to create a duet type of vocals cause i really miss andy's screams.
I notice alot of people are saying the reissue "sucks" compared to the original. Of course everyone is titled to their own opinion, but I think some of you guys are just saying that because this is something different, and you're too used to how the original EP sounds like. When you listen to the reissued version more and more, you'll realize the production quality, and overall skill of this band has improved greatly since they put out the EP version.
I can't remember the last time That I said goodbye, or that I even tried I'm becoming afraid, it's already to late I'm on my knees, please help me stay alive Love this part ..
Agreed that Mike Hranica (yes especially with his screams on 8:18. Which is not "Mike's losing his voice" it's "Mike is putting emotion into his screams") And Dave from CTE are the best screamers at the moment
You clench your throat slightly while screaming high pitched to sound like Mike. Its just a technique that's un-used, hes not that fucking good, I like TDWP, but he really isn't near the best.
I really like this version. Better vocals than the original. No fake sounding vocals, and the screams hit a lot harder. Especially near the end. Good job.
I like that in this version they fixed the whole lisp thing in the intro, but I HATE that they replaced the beginning cello part that played in the background of the original with some back-and-forth techno beat. It makes the song seem so much less infamous.
Are you high? Slightly refined? They re-recorded the whole song and changed the vocals entirely. Then mixed it entirely differently. I was around when they dropped the original, and I remember hearing this version and still thought the original was better. I'm only here because I wanted to compare them again.
I loved this song before but with Dave's vocals added it sound way more powerful. I think this is my favourite song in terms of the re-issue of Limitless.
I really LOVE this version but Andy's Roar in the original song is the best part of i think. Anyway I'M SO EXITED TO KEEP LISTENING THE ALBUM AFSADFSADA
Honestly they did all these remakes to show how good of a screamer David is. All these songs sound better than the orginals because David is honestly a better screamer than Andy is/was. And since the autotune is gone they sound more mature and honestly are one of the better bands on rise records now.
Andy sounds like he doesnt even want to sing the song. The orginal is still better despite having worse quality all around. Raw emotion and passion will always beat fancy bells and whistles
Dude saw them last year at a small legion center that didn't even have a stage it was fucking amazing, David was amazing I took pictures with David and Ben (crown the empire and the color morale)
Andy sounds so much better. Daves screams gave this song even more depth. The guitars and drums sound phenomenal. Then the girl part sounds so creepy and perfect. GOOD JOB GUYS.
So I have listened to 4 of the re-issues and actually this one his vocals were a perfect fit, wake me up, limitless and Johnny Ringo it was eh, but this one complemented the screams really well I like this songs re-issue better than the original; the other 4 its pretty even.
David Escimilla is one of the best screamers I have ever heard. This song is nothing but proof, and the fact that he sounds exactly like this live is what makes him one of the best.
the girl part in this is hauntingly amazing.
The reissue is great and doesnt have auto tune everywhere.
Knightmare The cleans sound monotone which makes this boring. The beginning sounds lifeless, same with the chorus.
FriggleFraggles I know what you mean. The original also seemed a bit faster too it seems like they slowed the song down almost
SuperTurboTurkey
You're a fucking idiot who had to think of a reply for months. Not only that but scene kid? The fuck I'm pretty sure I'm older than you & I don't even dress scene at all. Fuck up tool.
Andy's vocal from the EP + Dave's screams in this version = Perfection
This version is a lot cleaner. Sounds more like he's actually into the singing and the screaming. In my opinion this is a lot better than the EP version.
andy isnt doing most of the screaming in this one, they rerecorded it with David
Plus they tuned lower
This version is so much.. Stronger, in a good way. Love. It.
Dave's screams add so much to this band, it's awesome!
Their new screamer.... holy shit.
***** He obviously means new compared to the original vocals in this song aha
***** I know he's not ''new'' dumbass. But he's not the original. So he's still the new screamer.
SteveOForToday they both scream and clean sing
Neonzdzn Ok?
do you mean david?? damn fucking straight! he's so badass!
Honestly, the older version sounds more enthusiastic. This is good, but I like the older one a little bit better.
Agree
totally agree!
Dave the sickest screamer ?
Oh please .... ever heard about Sam Carter ?
s0mnum bitch please its all Mike Hranica.
Steven Rozeboom Hranica is losing his screams well atleast it sounds like on the record. Sam Carter isn't too bad but I'd prefer Dave and Mike over Sam.
I love David Just mikes vocals haven't changed to much since the beginning.
They've just gotten more brutual. I stopped listening to them after Zombie Ep then got back to them with 8:18
I like that they didn't use the modulated start like in the original version.
So true. In the original he sounded as if he had a lisp
voithes
Jesus I said that 6 years ago and yet again, here I am.
i think crown the empire has gotten better the further they go into their career. like their sound has improved and all that.
i kinda like andrews vocals better in the original but OMFG davids vocals sound amazing!
Andy voice gives thier sound so much depth. I don't know what it is about it but dang it's awesome.
They lower it for live performance anyway right? So, Im a fan. and I am jamming hard to these songs. Plus Dave sounds SO SICK!
This song is one of the most relatable of all of theirs to me because I'm schizophrenic and honestly, every word hits deep.
me too its poop but we got this so its chill
I personally love the reissue over the original because i like Andrews clean vocals and runs now as opposed to before when he used a lot of auto tune. Its so much more impressive to hear his voice naturally truly proving his vocal talent.
The chorus would be tight for a movie
honestly I didn't expect them to pull of a re-vamp of voices you cant get that song a second time its a song you just cant change because it was too good so I don't criticize this version .Overall got the reissue like 5 minutes after it came out been rocking it whole day REPLAY REPLAY REPLAY!!!
*.* I'm in love lol xD there is now 2 versions of one of my favorite songs by crown the empire
saw these guys last night in houston tx and they are unbelievable. great music and positive vibes coming from each one of them you guys rock
I love both versions of this. Can't stop hitting replay on both!
First time I listened to CTE was yesterday and now i'm a fan :D Awesome band!
I never liked the original version of this song because something about Andys voice in it bothered me. This is an improvement.
In my opinion the original is great . I like this version too but I'm sticking to the original cuz I luv it. 😌
This is the best month ever. Re-release of this album, Erras new album, and a bunch of album teasers from structures!!! :D
IM BAKING A POTATO!!!!
Did it explode? My cat did.
Dragonsongz1 I.. Wha... Alrighty then

Hahahahaha...
HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAa..

It actually makes me really happy that I checked the comments too this and didn't see any hate at all! Or maybe I just didn't scroll down far enough.
This brings back memories. Dark ones and good ones.
For everyone saying that this is shit and Andy doesn't sound the same... well the screams are by a different person...
god, David's scream..... I don't know I just find the screaming part of songs soothing to me ♡♥
2:15 The sound it's so much better than the first clip
Both versions are equally great.
True!!
I think the version with just Andy is better.
Potato ?
andy and david both do cleans and screams really well. it's a shame they don't take advantage of that to create a duet type of vocals cause i really miss andy's screams.
Yes. Andy sounds much better than the pre-pubescent, fetus version that he was when the original version of this song came out.
David Escamilla Is The Best Screamer In This Genre ATM
He Is A Fucking BEAST Live
He Sounds Exactly The Same
I notice alot of people are saying the reissue "sucks" compared to the original. Autotune free.. nice
This will be cooler if someone used the ep clean vocals but still have the reissue instruments and davids screams.
Im going to actually do that
+powerplay9876 did you do it? Lol
2:13 best part of the song.
there tone changed because of the key the guitars are in now.
still sounds amazing. still favorite band ever
I really like this version. Better vocals than the original. No fake sounding vocals, and the screams hit a lot harder. Especially near the end. Good job.
If you like heavy this version is for you, if you like more cleans the other version is for you. I llike this version better in my opinion.
My favorite song from them :D love it!
I happy to hear cleaner voice of Andy and Dave. Through this album,I'm sure they can already sing better. great!
I was actually worried for how the remake of this song would be, but I think they did a great job.
This is miles better than the original. I'm never going back to the ep :D
I like that in this version they fixed the whole lisp thing in the intro, but I HATE that they replaced the beginning cello part that played in the background of the original with some back-and-forth techno beat. It makes the song seem so much less infamous.
Love this reissue! Cant wait for the new album next year
How much they've grown.
*Sniff* *Sniff*
i like their songs Machines, voices, and memories of a broken heart.
I'm seeing them live at vogue theater yaaaaaaaaaay!
congratulations! by the way that was definitly an sws referance
*-is schizophrenic*
*-randomly clicks on this for no reason*
*-sits here awkwardly after relating to the lyrics*
I lover everything about The new albums from the new breakdowns to the new sound keep it up (:
I always thought CTE was meh, but this is actually very, very well done.
This version sounds so much more mature, love it
***** but idk which i like more
This song is so perfect
Of course I would scroll down through the comments and come across your name! XD LOL
Does anyone else think that this sounds way better then when it was sung for the music video?
yes
No
I really like this much more than the original version
I honestly like this better than the original.
I think both versions are awesome! Keep up the good work guys.
ohmygosh this is so much better i'm in love
Can't wait to see what these guys do in the future!
You know a music is a masterpiece when with a slightly refined mix makes even better then when it was launched.
Are you high? Slightly refined? They re-recorded the whole song and changed the vocals entirely. Then mixed it entirely differently. I was around when they dropped the original, and I remember hearing this version and still thought the original was better. I'm only here because I wanted to compare them again.
I heard this and got goose bumps, I LOVE IT.
This turned out to be really good.
I loved this song before but with Dave's vocals added it sound way more powerful. I think this is my favourite song in terms of the re-issue of Limitless.
love this track for sure
andy's vocals sound better live but i love that this is without autotune and HOLY DAVID
You can really hear the beauty of Andrew's voice
I'llllll be sticking to the original versions, thanks aha
Love it !
This version is so good.
Her haunted/haunting voice Just made This song Ever doper Hella heavenly DoPe
I cant even believe how fucking good this is! Love CTE! Been a fan for well over aa year now and this is wonderful!
Sounds alot better!
I really LOVE this version but Andy's Roar in the original song is the best part of i think. Anyway I'M SO EXITED TO KEEP LISTENING THE ALBUM AFSADFSADA
DAVE'S SCREAMS ARE JUST EARGASMIC
I saw them yesterday!
Honestly they did all these remakes to show how good of a screamer David is. All these songs sound better than the orginals because David is honestly a better screamer than Andy is/was. And since the autotune is gone they sound more mature and honestly are one of the better bands on rise records now.
This version is so much heavier than their original and I love it.
what a pure female voice!
They tune her voice, lol can't you tell?
***** Then its not Pure -__-
***** who is the female voice of music? please! NAME
***** Obrigado
I love this album. :3
Andy sounds like he doesnt even want to sing the song. The orginal is still better despite having worse quality all around. Raw emotion and passion will always beat fancy bells and whistles
First time hearing this band and I like it
this is so sick I like this one the most
I honestly think it's great they're trying something new and maybe not everyone likes it but it still would work out and I think it's going great
If they took the intro and girl's vocals from this and combined it with the original version, it'd be absolutely perfect.
Dude saw them last year at a small legion center that didn't even have a stage it was fucking amazing, David was amazing I took pictures with David and Ben (crown the empire and the color morale)
i have a special love for the old one
The screaming and heavy parts remind me of The Word Alive a bit. Which is not bad lol
The only part i rly liked on the reissue is 2:13
The rest is EP over > this
Andy sounds so much better. Daves screams gave this song even more depth. The guitars and drums sound phenomenal. Then the girl part sounds so creepy and perfect. GOOD JOB GUYS.
HOLY BALLS THE RE-RECORDED VERSION OF LIMITLESS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME OMG *fanboying*
So I have listened to 4 of the re-issues and actually this one his vocals were a perfect fit, wake me up, limitless and Johnny Ringo it was eh, but this one complemented the screams really well I like this songs re-issue better than the original; the other 4 its pretty even.
This is such a good songs
Sounds great!
