In the 1970s I had a film drier the rough size and shape of a kitchen blender that contained a fan, air filters and a drierite cartridge. It would dry one roll of 35mm or 120/220 film in 30 minutes . I desperately need to find or build a unit like that one.
Great video! Thank you for making this review. It would be helpful to know the dimensions of both roll film and sheet film units, when fully assembled. Jobo does not report this detail but for those of us with limited space in the home darkroom, it is an essential spec.
Did you try drying some 35 or 120 film? I just turned it on the low setting for 10mins with a roll of 120 and it totally warped my negative like it looked it was melting. I took it out straight away. I’m very upset.
Yes we also tried 120 film. We are using it on location outside our lab. It always depend a bit on the type of film you are using. Some do curle more than others but this would happen in any other drying cabinet too. You could use the cold setting. In addition it is sometimes helpful to put an open container of warm water on the bottom of the drying cabinet to increase the humidity in the chamber.

looks messy to put together. How does one stop uneven heating because of lack of insulation? There is no way I would dry sheet film in that manner.
