As a Jewish guy married to a Muslim woman, my heart bleeds. I hope people with your mindset, treating every other person as a human being and their equal, will prevail in Israel and Palestine, and something good will emerge after this tragedy. It's difficult to see it happening. But if people see, as you show, that we have more in common than divides us, maybe things will change. And let's hope that one day you'll be able to visit an independent Palestine from Israel and you won't have to hide who or what you are. @@chnsm Mistaarvim were Jews who spoke Arabic and were somewhat assimilated into Arab culture from many places in the Arab world, not only Palestine, and the word's original meaning in Arabic is "someone who makes themself arab" which fits both meanings
I just found this site. I don't understand the purpose or goal. Basically you are confirming that if anyone found out you were Jewish, your life would be in danger.
I'm also Israeli, but mostly American-raised, I don't speak Arabic well at all, but I learned what I learned from a little intermediate school Arabic when I lived briefly in Israel as a kid, and again I studied it in university in the US as well as on-and-off attempts at self-study. You speak it much better than me, but why is it so hard for the younger generation of Israelis, even Mizrahim or part Mizrahi people to say ح and confuse it with خ? Even in Hebrew there is supposed to be a difference between ח and כ. I'm 51, and my father always pronounced them differently. But even when I used to visit Israel a lot as a teenager (1980s), so many Mizrahi people my age who lived in places like Netivot said ח the way Arabs said ح. Now it seems to be getting lost, even among Mizrahi Israelis, and even ones like you, who have managed to acquire a decent Arabic. What happened? Am I really that old?
These days, no one differentiates between כ and ח except for Yemenite Jews. The guys you met that lived in Netivot were probably Yemenite. For me it's hard to differtienate because I don't know when it's ح and when it's خ since I can't read or write. But for sure I'll learn Arabic to a better extent next time i'm in the Middle East.
@@theSalukie I assumed you could at least read and understand, because I thought I saw you reading and translating Arabic signs into English. (I myself read haltingly, but really only well enough to pick out some words.) As for the people I knew from places like Netivot, Sderot, etc. back in the 1980s, most were Moroccans, Tunisians. Nowadays most younger Yemenites you meet will pronounce it differently in synagogue but not in daily speech. So anyway, I've probably got about 20-25 years on you, as late as the 1980s, early 1990s, I would say most Mizrahim who lived in the Merkaz pronounced ח and ע the same as other Israelis (unless they lived in certain neighborhoods maybe, I had a friend from Musrara in Jerusalem who was Moroccan/Algerian and he said ח and ע the Mizrahi way, nowadays Musrara is all gentrified and "mitashknez"). So anyway, I have a similar background to you, half Mizrahi/half Ashkenazi, but I grew up mostly outside Israel, on Brooklyn (you sound like you also spent some of your formative years outside Israel, I hear a little bit of British and a little bit of South African, but I also still detect Israeli in your English). So as I said, my Arabic isn't anywhere near as good as yours (my father and his parents spoke it) and when I speak Hebrew I typically don't pronounce ח and ע that way, unless I am trying to be humorous, but I *CAN* do it (at least I think so). And as I remember, lots of Israelis my age, even fully Ashkenazi Israelis who did not know any Arabic, were able to make those sounds, if only because they watched enough "HaGashash" skits and Sallah Shabbati, and HaShoter Azulai and mimic all the voices with the different accents, just to mess around. I'm surprised, because you're obviously a linguistically talented guy, that you have a hard time with that.
Other than Yemeni Israelis, I think others tend to slip into the khet instead of H when speaking Arabic. Almost like a cultural practice, but a bit risky in a refugee camp

Must of them was born in israel so thats their home from now on.. keep crying like arabs do insted of moving on.. or just keep loosing at wars against israel

"they sell weapons like tomatoes" as if that's a bad thing 😌
You are courageous. Good work that you are doing to bring both together. At the end, we are all human beings.

I still wonder why the houses that belonged to the security were in such good condition that even the most beautiful house we saw later would not look like them
there's a lot of corruption in the pa unfortunately
TZVI they literally pay terrorist of course they are corrupt
The world needs more people like you
Man you need yo star in the new season of Fauda!!
Fauda makes me so annoyed, it makes peopel in the west bank as monsters who have bombs .
Fauda shows high level of fake propaganda that West bank is so dangerous and unfriendly.
The kid in 5:23 broke my heart 💔
Yeah, I should have gotten him some food. I was too preoccupied with the video to notice what was going on
I love how you just kept walking while there were Gun shots 😂😂😂

Brilliant insight into the refugee camp, wow. Genuinely incredible that you went there as a Jew. Loved the video's ending #PeaceInTheMiddleEast

I was actually there for two weeks not long ago, I love it there. Best part of Israel by far
This guy is reckless and puts people and himself at risk.
All for clicks
@@cmcd2898 Spot on, extremely selfish and self-concerned, he was very hungry for UA-cam fame and was willing to put other people in danger if that was what it took
Where did you learn arabic so well
As I see , you can almost understand very well
That's really great 🤙💪😉
I don’t speak Arabic well, it’s the language I speak the worst. I need to learn it properly

Btw your clip got me insanely hungry. Lol 😆
I think they know you're Israeli 😆
They just pretend that they don't know.

I did! I will one day :)
Amazing content, cheers from Morocco!
you have balls going in these places as an israeli jew, but you certainly have steel balls for asking the guy if he owns a gun.
that was very suspicious of you and it could result in thinking of you as מסתערב and that can be very bad news for you.
well done for the videos !
Thank you I appreciate it !
To curious people what he wrote in Hebrew is "meesta'arev" which in the past ment arab jew but today means like under cover agent who blend into Palestinian society and culture, basically the stuff you see in the tv show fauda
@@chnsm Mistaarvim were Jews who spoke Arabic and were somewhat assimilated into Arab culture from many places in the Arab world, not only Palestine, and the word's original meaning in Arabic is "someone who makes themself arab" which fits both meanings
Dude I can hear your balls of steel from here. Amaxzng vlog
מסתערב שמסתובב עם מצלמה גלויה ולא יודע ערבית ?
(I myself read haltingly, but really only well enough to pick out some words.)
As for the people I knew from places like Netivot, Sderot, etc. back in the 1980s, most were Moroccans, Tunisians.
