I love that VR is relatively accessible for people that arent physically able but as this game shows, theres a special kind of magic when you're actively in the games physicality.
While being accessible to as many people as possible is great, that shouldnt take away from being able to fully take advantage of, well, being in VR and being physical.
    Great video.

im so glad you added the IRL camera for this session. THIS is exactly how VR games should make you feel and move. very enjoyable to watch and even made me want to replay this game again.
devs in the industry should watch this and take notes.

One of my favorite games in VR. The combat is simply incredible. Wish more devs followed suit.

I'd recommend trying the demo for Titan Slayer 2.
To me it proved that Until You Fall would have been even better with less of a reliance on prompts.

One of my first, and all time favourite games. I carved my VR legs from this game way back when. Can be a great work out too 😁
Wanted to let you know that Hellsweeper does have a flick up/down to load the revolvers (with different animation), in the menu's which might do the job. You will definitely find Hellsweeper easy to begin with, it does expand alot though. Melee is, for me, overshadowed by the fantastic gunplay/magic/acrobatics mechanics. Mixed Realms are at least constantly updating the game though, adding and tweeking all the time.

I have played this wearing arm weights and you can simulate and achieve some of the sword weight and inertia. At least until I have room or can create some actual sword controllers.
The double handed sword, while fun, is hard to block the fast attacks without a dagger or short sword in offhand.

the option argument is like the argument for difficulty levels in dark souls, by having no difficulty levels everyones experience is exactly the same and the only differences are in the players choices and skill level your skill level in vr is almost always (or should almost always) be determined by your physical and mental ability.
even if you are just playing the game to get better at the game the hand eye coordination and physical movements can improve your actual life not to mention vr is more engaging and natural.
Vr should primarily be for people who can operate physically and mentally in real life but maybe they want to be a mech fighting robots or a guy with a gun, stuff they either cant do or endeavor to do in the future
without vr i doubt i would have the hand eye coordination or physical ability i have

I love your enthusiasm for VR. It's contagious, and helps remind me why I love it so much. Keep up the good fight. There's so much trash out there but I agree with you that the games that stand the test of time are the ones that nail satisfying physicality and movement like this game, beat saber, and others. We need more games like this.

In an ideal world, this dev would be creating a VR reimagining of the original Phantasy Star Online

??? With how the positional blocking is designed at least, yes. Ported to flatscreen positioning one’s mouse or thumbstick to replicate precise positional defending would be a cumbersome disaster.
Secondly, this premise is greatly enhanced by the mere fact you’re doing these things and more with your active body as opposed to pressing buttons for predetermined actions. It’s a dramatically different experience by comparison.
