I have a few of these radios. Beware if getting another receiver separately as some don't work out of the package. If buying at a hobby shop have them plug it in to a battery pack to see if the LED light comes on.
Ron.. did some checking on this.. this comes up at the Futaba USA Center.. they said... "I have a feeling they were powering up the R203/R204 series as they do not show LED lights if the transmitter is on in the wrong protocol so they will appear dead."
@@Floatsfast its my understanding they will NOT light up IF they are in the wrong mode of modulation. I am not the expert BUT.. I can test this for you if you want.. be well!
The default for voltage that you mentioned in the beginning is for the batteries in your radio, not for the model. It was my understanding the only telemetry option you really have with the 304 receiver is motor/ESC temp, and an additional sensor cable is required for that.
@@danb.4571 its not a typo.. I know.. weird right! BTY.. the other surface systems call out 100m range.. I have however tested those to much more then that.. the spec can be very much used as a guide.
As a Futaba 4pm user and fan of most all Futaba radio systems I greatly appreciate your expertise!

sorry to hear this Ron.. I have not heard of this until now. I have yet to have a single failed unit.

They didn't work at home either but should light up when connected to an Rx pack. The LHS had 6 bad ones come in. Those with the TX were all fine.

Wating for the range test! I don’t believe that it has only 80m range
Agree.. we have seen them do much better at the races. Thats one for a range test!
The 80m range is a typo, I think. I saw a 5 radio shootout and review, and in clear conditions this Futaba got over 1000 feet!

Do a range test too
I will put that on my to do list.. thanks!
Can you use the 324sb with the 3pv
O YEA!
