Will, im a newb and just bought one of these as my first loco, was supposed to run but nothing... dont know whether to try and take it apart or send it back. It was £65 and looks mint condition. Thoughts?
Hi William. How do I get in touch with you? My Rivarossi big boy's pinion gear has completely been ground down with no teeth. It was brass. I would like to get in touch with you regarding the same.
I have a GG1 made by Broadway Ltd that has a gear problem, and B'way Ltd will not help me with the repair. Can you help, I would be willing to send it in for repair and payment for repair or help showing me how to repair it.
Unfortunately if it has a gear issue and is one of the earlier BLI models they are no longer supported by BLI’s parts department. That I cannot help with. Sorry.
Will, I cannot thank you enough for repairing my comet. You are a true legend my dood! ;)
A textbook lesson in how to do a restoration properly. Excellent work as per usual!

Where can I obtain a small socket like the one used in rather drive rods?
Thank you
Where do you get the small sockets for the drivers , what size.
What do you use a a replacement motor for the flat round can motor? Have a UP two-tone grey northern that they motors arcing on.
Clean the motor, don’t replace it. I never remotor my engines as they only have original equipment once.
Dominance asserted comet levels
That was a great video and restoration!👍
The fix
what's the little tool to fasten the rods?
It is a very small hexagonal nut driver
Could you potentially do a video on how to properly service a rivarossi standard line Berkshire?
I don't have one currently needing service. If I did I'd still have to pass on the video as these take obscene amounts of time to produce.
Do you have to use labelle 102 on rods and axels for units like rivarossi, mantua and other older makes of model trains
Dank
what is the tool you used to check all rod fixture?

What do you have to say for people who re-motored an engine, say a Blue Goose with oh I don't know a 2 dollar eBay motor? Totally random scenario btw.
Better run the fuck away with the soap box cause I’ll be up there for a while....
I am the milk man my milk is delicious
