Thank you so much. Man I had a red 540i as well. Fun car to drive but I bought a poorly maintained on. This one has been extremely reliable but it is time to part ways. If I can't sell it then maybe I'll put it up in storage and clean it up some more in the years to come.
@photofinishgarage the 528i is the one to have. Extremely reliable and enough power for daily use. Just be warned ⚠️ that you know the usual sellers remorse e39 owners have! I got a lot of dings on my baby but luckily the underbody is mint (rare for a CDN e39)!
@alexmair3613 yea I hear ya. My wife says I should keep it since they are hard to find in good condition and i did all the work to swap it. Maybe give it to my son one day. Haha. He's 4! the thing is it's hard to tell what these things are worth and if they are going up in value. Since the 528i isn't a powerful as the 530 or even 540. I would really swap in a LS v8 and be a happy camper. I'm really wanting to get a truck for family stuff but this seems like the right move for now but could totally be the wrong move for the future. I could see my self missing this one BUT I'm really a 90s honda guy and want to get me another Integra. That's the car I miss the most!
What would you say these 528i are worth or what would you pay for mine. It's been hard finding a fair price in my research. I've been told they could be worth 7-9k but it's all about what someone wants to pay
It's hard, honestly I paid 10k for mine. You have to find someone who respects this era. All I know is that e34, E36, E38, E39 are ALL going up (some faster than others) and require two things when selling. 1)A person who respects the beauty of these classics/a buyer that you know it is going to a good home and 2) No lowballs, max dollar!@@photofinishgarage
Just watched your swap vlogs. I was curious on doing the manual swap. Do you recall which getrag you got it? I have a 525i and i think they are the same for the 528i.
