Very similar tractor. I almost purchased a GC1720 a couple of years ago when a local dealer was running a special. So far I'm pretty pleased with everything. The only question I have is would the R1 ag tires have been better for my "out in the woods" projects. Thanks for watching!
@@judyandhuggins hey, before you go out and buy that tractor, something didn't sound right with the 6'1" so I just rechecked and with the rops in the upright position, it's actually just over 7'1" which means it might not fit your door without folding it down. Sorry for the premature good news.
@@judyandhuggins i just got my 1723MB today and can confirm the 7’1”.I had to fold the ROPS down ro go in the garage as well as my ATC car hauler. Funny thay the non backhoe versions have a much shorter ROPS.
Is it possible to use the hydraulic back hoe hose connections as rear hydraulic remotes to power a 3 point hitch attachment? If so which two hoses would you use? Thank you for the video.
Ok, so it is possible, but not without installing a valve to control it. I was told that you would use the yellow and the red hoses from the tractor connected to what he called a directional valve. Sounds like you'd have to build your own remote component to install.
@@tractorstrailsandlivingfree Thank you for finding out that information for me. Here in Australia it is hard to get any details from the dealer. I will have to study up on hydraulic valves. Cheers
@@tractorstrailsandlivingfree Dude i been thinking about the same thing. I just got a TYM 254 TLB. I was thinking it would be utilized for a hydraulik top link when not using the hoe.
Good video for the massy but that’s a lot of extra work to take off the back hoe my John Deere is much quicker I do like the way the 3 point stays on the massy tho. The massy was my 2nd choice once again good video 👍🏻
But is it really quicker if you need to mess with the 3 point? i figure it ends up being a wash. Add the single seat and I’m happy with mine. If we want to talk easy, then the BX23s should be the one to wish for. Nice to do it all from the seat!
Love My Massey,I keep the backhoe on my most of the time.I have a 2018 GC1710 with 390hrs.

What is the rops height on your Massey from ground to top .
Want to make it will clear my 7’ height garage door .
Thank you . Good video .
Thanks for taking the time to watch!
The height of the rops is just under 73" (6'1") so it should clear it comfortably.
Awesome , thanks for taking time and measuring .

You're welcome.
Short answer, I think so. As far as the hose connections go, I will have to get back to you.
