These are really great tractors & from what I've been seeing from owners is it's all good in there reviews & my brother just bought one & it should be in about 3 more weeks YAY! Another Massey - Ferguson in the family , He went with the GC 1723 EB & he did do some comparisons with other manufactures & came to the conclusion this was the best valued subcompact on the market , Along with customer ratings & reviews & yes I did influence him a little being that I own 2 Mighty-Fine tractors myself A 1959 M-F 50 & a 2018 M-F 1526 & I also told him about your informative videos which he did watch. & keep up the good work & You are a good spokesmen for AGCO/ Massey- Ferguson tractors on You Tube.
Great comparison video Doug, really appreciate your videos they are so informative and detailed. I bought a 1740M from my local dealer two years ago, and I hope to get a GC1725M in the near future to compliment my stable. The sub-compacts certainly have a place since they are smaller in size.
I like the new gc series but will keep my gc1720 they are real work horses and you really can get a lot of work done with them. It will surprise you just what you can accomplish with them
GC1720 is part of the legendary history of the Massey Ferguson Sub Compacts that have evolved over time. Nothing wrong with your GC1720 the new models just features some continued upgrades over time.
I have a 1723 e. I have a 5foot pto mower on back. The only time I miss the 25 horsepower is on hills but for the price difference it wasn't a game changer.
Wow. 5 Foot is a lot for Sub Compacts with the length and leverage on tractor. We try to stay with 4' RhinoAG TW14 Cutters for Sub Compacts. 1526 is marginal with 5' cutter but the 1825E works nicely with 5' cutter
May I ask how you have the mower on it with the backhoe at the same time? I thought it wasn't possible-- but it is a feature I definitely would like. If it's possible-- I'm sold!
We have to take off the Backhoe to install the mower for delivery to the customer. You have to use the 3 Point to Raise and Lower Mower. Once we installed the Mower we had to lock the 3 Point and installed Backhoe to transport to customer and he had to remove backhoe to use the mower.
I am looking to buy a 2022 1725m leftover and was told that there is no difference between it and a 2024. Is this correct, and is the resale value affected?
I have the old GC 2610 TLB it is a great tractor! I have a Kubota BX as well but the Massey in my opinion is a better tractor. Don’t know why they went down in power. My GC is 26hp.
GC2610 was 25 Engine HP, same as the GC1715 and GC1725M. Nothing has changed as far as engine HP. Here is Tractor Data on GC2600: www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/006/2/8/6284-massey-ferguson-gc2600.html
@@VahrenbergImplement well for some reason my dealer told me that I was getting more hp with the 2610 over the 2410. I could be wrong it’s been a long time however I still love the machine it’s been fantastic.
The Model Numbers back then had no correlation to Engine HP like the New GC1723E or GC1726M. GC2400 was the 22.5 Engine HP and the GC2600 was the 25 Engine HP models. They awesome machines for sure. Enjoy your Massey Ferguson
Both have the same engine. Same compression. The 1723 engine runs at 2600 rpm, the 1725 runs at 3000 rpm. Could you not run the 1723 at 3000 rpm and get the same power as the 1725 ? Love MF tractors. I have three mid 70’s garden tractors that run great. Two are 46 years old and the other one 51 years old. I sure would like one of those tractors with the loader. The back hoe would be neat, but I wouldn’t use it much. Have a good day.
The RPM Change based on Horsepower but the Rated PTO Speed is Different. Increasing the RPM of the GC7123E would overspeed the Rated PTO Speed. Plus changing the RPM immediately voids the warranty as modification. Which also prevent a Certified Dealer from ever working on it once modified and would effect the trade value as a tampered or modified tractor and there are regulations that limit dealers from trading and reselling know modified equipment. If you need the additional HP, I would highly recommend buying it to save the legal repercussions that exist on modifying tractors.
Those arm rests are held by three little screws that are screwed through 1/8" thick plastic on the seat. I was getting onto my tractor yesterday, grabbed the arm rest for support and it snapped, now my arm rest is flapping around. Calling my dealer on Monday, i mean this ridiculous.
Arm Rests are not for meant to be used for leverage points even on big tractors. They are places to rest the arm. But talk to your dealer if under warranty period AGCO should still support replacement.
@@VahrenbergImplement Dealer is replacing the seat. I still feel this is very poor design, I am not a very heavy fella at 175 lbs, however, I view arm rests also as safety device, if you should trip or fall off your tractor, you shod be able to grab on to them. 1/8" plastic holding arm rest on a $30,000+ tractor is absurd. We bought a electric toy tractor for our grand kid and guess what, arm rests are held on 1/8" plastic, but his tractor was $400 lol. Don't get me wrong, I like my tractor, but there is definitely some things on it that you don't expect from a vompaby that was in the usiness for so long. I could have bought cheaper brands and deal with these issues, I paid more for MF because I was told it's a better tractor. But, dealer is coming through and replacing it, we will likely modify it further to actually make it withhold more than 5lbs of pressure 👍
We have had 2 out of I don't know how many of these seats (Close to 100 sold) we have on tractors crack. And AGCO stepped up and fixed them under warranty. Both operators admitted they used them as leverage point. If your not satisfied commenting on this post will not get it resolved. actually over 11% increase in Horsepower. Yes RPM are higher but they all increase the RPM at rated PTO Speed. Numerous series of tractors use the same base engine and by changing air, fuel, rpm, turbo, intercoolers and other items can create different horsepower ratings. Look at the 4700 Series from 70 to 100 Engine HP with the same basic engine but there are many tweaks to the engine to gain additional horsepower. Nothing new to the tractor industry been doing that over 75 years of our history. Plus the GC1725M has more features and higher flow hydraulics. Buy what best for you. We personally sell both here and the GC1725M is much more popular than the GC1723E we probably sell 8 to 1 GC1725M over GC1723E.

Yes they are...one of the biggest features is the small size allows them to get into places bigger tractors can't. Thanks for watching and commenting.

They have not made any changes to the GC1725M Models. Model Change effects resale value more than year model.

You say that some people might not think there isn't much from 23hp to 25 hp.
Well few people think about torque difference and torque rise % too.
And touching any Fuel or Engine Settings...INSTANTLY VOIDS all warranties and can face Federal Emission Law Fines by the EPA.
