Just quick tip: it’s crucial to put in your AP scores, especially if you pass because it can help you skip certain general ed/lower level classes/prerequisites. For instance, in AP English, if you scored a passing score then you don’t have to take the lowest level of English writing class, which is a requirement in UCD. I passed my AP Physics exam, and I was given credit for it.
Thank you so much for making this video it really made me more confident with myself, I think we're on opposite boats because I have a 1450 SAT and a 3.6 GPA hah
Thank you so much! I didn’t really get a good score on my SAT(it’s around the same as yours) and I’m applying this year. Looking at your stats and seeing how you got into Davis (which is also the school i really want to get into) it gave me hope haha. Did you report all of your scores if you took it more than once? I know on the UC website it says all scores should be reported and they take the highest one.
Hi Tia! I am currently waiting for UC decisions to come out and I am a 2021 senior, but I wanted to ask if you think that ethnicity plays a role in admission? I have a 4.1 which I am really proud of myself for, but I am aware it is not the most academically competitive GPA. However, I am full Native Hawaiian and I wrote about how important that is in one of my PIQs and I was wondering if you thought that could give me a little boost?
hello! i wish i could ask a UC application reader myself to give you the best answer, but i'm honestly not entirely sure. i feel like clarity and sincerity in your writing should take you far! definitely ask fellow teachers and college grads for help looking over your essays to help refine it :) wishing you the best of luck!
i have two questions. I am in 9th grade. I had A's and B's in semester 1, but in semester 2 two D's and all of them A's and B's (normal classes). Am I going get accepted in UC's if I get good grades in 10th-11th grade or 10th-11th? And my 2nd question is what grade dose UC look at?
Hey Tias, Thanks a lot for your energy aand amazing videos!☀️ Can I reach you somehow, maybe email? Have a veeery important question to ask, would be super-grateful if u could answer Thank u💫

What if I didn’t pass my AP exams? I’m not good at tests and exams so I don’t know if I should put mine in.
we get credit for Physics! was it physics C or 1 ?
