The mysteries of Collinwood. It's no wonder Vicky wants to leave after one night. David's hostility is no help. Roger grilling Vicky about Burke Devlin. Then the sobbing heard at night. The only one who is giving her moral support at this time is Carolyn.
When Vicky snd Carolyn were standing in the hallway, did you notice that ornate wooden box on the table on the left? That box is the Count Petofi hand-in-the-box, which figures prominently during the DS 1897 storyline. I won’t spoil it for the DS fans/newcomers, but that notorious box must have been sitting there in Collinwood for nearly 69 years.
@laura When I was a kid, and rushed home to see the Vampire, the witch and ghosts, I would never have appreciated the characters and performances that I am watching here.
Many years ago, this part (7:15ff) was what "hooked" my interest in the secrets and mysteries at Collinwood and sealed my love for the series.
creepy David Collins.
Yeah, thanks for breakfast, Carolyn, out of here!!!
@@amyepstein4868 LOL! Yes! thanks, girlfriend!
There's very little creepier than a creepy child 😂

I never found out who was sobbing. Was it Josette?
No. But was coming from a locked room in the Basement. By giving away the name I don't want to spoil it it for you by giving away too much.
@@emilyannfrancesmay3919 Elizabeth?
@@laura2372 I have no idea!
Thanis.

Great catch!
Does it show up in other places? Kind of like the ds quilt 😂😂😂

Oh, yes, that Count Petofi box is as ubiquitous as the renowned DS quilt is on the show.
As always, thank you so much for loading these.
I know they are edited for c reasons, but, in some ways, i like the abbreviated version better.
Wow, the late Louis Edmonds really made this soar into Hitchcock territory!
Yes--his voice had a creepy aspect as well!😲
