Love how Corey takes up 50% of the screen every time he screams.
fr
its like a jumpscare
Fun fact: Craig use to be one of the guitarist's until they realised someone had to be on sample duties.
I wonder why they didn’t take a keyboard player, but put Craig in, they could have put someone else. I think Craig himself wanted for the samples
@@user-cd2xs4vj9y Craig is an amazing musician. He plays guitar, drums, keyboards, almost everything. And also he's a great sampler creator
His creativity is beyond our mortal souls
Yes and no, Craig was their guitarist until Mick joined the band I want to say in ‘96 then Craig became the sampler that way
Knots dead without him IMO
Sad where things are now. R.I.P Joey and Paul. Bless Chris too he seemed like one of the good ones. I'm still a longtime maggot but geez it kinda hurts now.
I mean people hate on Nu Metal so much but this is such a technically sound performance. It’s almost as if every sound and note the band plays has been thought out and it just comes together so nicely.
only tasteless asschaps aka elitists hate on nu metal
Only the elitists hate nu metal and Nu metal has become popular again
It's only hated by 'true' metal elitists who are jealous that their nishe subgenre is not as popular. But nu metal is one of the best metal subgenre, IMO and one of the richest on great bands.
@@johnsmith-ck4qtI don’t think they want their genre popular , it’s just that nu metal is so accessible and literally anybody who listens to Taylor swift can listen to nu metal
@@JupiterKnightthat is such cap my friend listens to hardcore “drill” music yet he thinks nu metal sounds like psychopathic noise
I’ve been listening to this album all my life. How have I never noticed that Corey was sitting in the album cover? It’s so obvious now that I look at the full cover.
ME EITHER
Sorry to tell you but your are blind af my dude
i just noticed this after seeing this video 😂
and can you guess why Chris is between his legs? to emulate cock
Ive been confused by micks little duck head for years until i finally realized whats going on
Pretty sure the drum intro is actually done by Sid. Then again, both Craig and Sid do samples so it's easy to confuse them.
nah i saw a video of joey doing the intro
@@lemex27gamesnshit 0:10 - 0:20 is Sid's work. Joey enters after that.
actually that could be the case. i usually think that sid was only the scratches, nothing else, because i know craig can do many beats
@@soad-slipknotsmusicandvide8270 Yeah, it's pretty confusing because they do similar stuff. The drum intro here was included in a sample library released by Sid so it's pretty certain that it was probably by him. I think there are are also a few live shows which show him playing it. On this track Craig plays a Windows error sound (of all things) during the breakdown. Not sure if he plays anything else.
@@soad-slipknotsmusicandvide8270 Sid does the intro. Craig has the "hissing" sample that can be heard throughout the song. And during the breakdown part there's these sweeping samples that are both Sid and Craig I believe.
How did I KNOW the comments were all gonna be "ackshully"
I *ADORE* Corey‘s vocal on this song
90s Slipknot is just pure carnage in musical form.
This was far more entertaining than I expected it to be. Especially Corey spinning around on the screen lol
Corey saying "Yo me llamo pablo" hits different
No rest for joey and corey
Craig is me when i’m doing a group project
HAHAH and I'm Corey, Joey, Mick, Jim, and Paul. Carrying these fuckin freeloaders
Does that make the nerd corey?
@@Jay3roJoey
Craig is playing a whole lot more than you are putting in 😂😂😂
Lmao "playing"
He’s pressing those buttons like an Xbox controller in a call of duty 1v1
Well, Sid is actually spinning that drum intro, not Craig. There is some weird bongo drum in the background of third verse in between Corey’s vocals, that might be Craig sample…or Chris or clown hitting a drum
1:12 - 1:13 Sid
you missed Craig's hissing samples.
0:14 that is actually Mick before he changed to his much more well known mask. The guy with the gray mask to the right of Paul is actually the guitarist from before Jim Root joined.
No, that’s Jim in the photo. There’s interviews where he talks about hating that mask since it was fitted small for the guy before him.
@@montythemetalmanI’m pretty sure that’s Josh, Jim was “added” on the deluxe addition when they mirrored the cover and added his purple hair sticking out the top.
it’s josh brainard. they photoshopped jims purple hair above the gimp mask in a later release of the cover
Yeah, jim only played on purity
At 2:29 craig makes a swooshing sound that continues and ends at 2:46 you can also hear it at the end of the song at 3:27 and it ends at 4:00
pretty sure thats guitar work
at 1:12 theres also a scratch played by sid, super short but noticable.
@@sophusgrauenfisker8725it’s guitar with a sample underneath
@@edms3656 Sid made a few scratches there
2:28 and 3:40 theres "boom" sound effects on every 2-count by craig here
No, it's Sid's turntable
People in these comments want the smallest unnoticeable details to be added
Yeah man, I mean it's just for fun ffs
They're not unnoticeable if lots of people notice them. Just because you didn't notice them doesn't mean other people don't. They still make a difference to the track even if you don't conciously pick it out
0:21 you forget percussion
0:56 you missed this one
say word?
@@NSmokingWeedCraig
I absolutely love these
Amazing
This is actually clever and interesting, man. Good job
On 2:21 there was a computer type sound, it was Craig's work
Sure thats not the guitar?
This was fucking hilarious! Thank you 🤘
this is geniuuuuus, my god
nice video!
Really clever. Love it.
i find this shit so funny
real
Great interpretation man!
Que recuerdos cuando corey se llamaba Pablo
Fun video. But if you get picky with it, you missed Craigs samples a lot. Well done tho, make more!
Cool concept, but so much of Craig and sid missed
this just proves that they could've easily been a normal 5-piece metal band with just a 6th person doing the extra stuff like keyboards/samples kinda like Rammstein
Imagine one guy running between keyboard, turntables and multiple percussion sets and doing backing vocals live lol
Joey must be tired 😊
I laughed when Paul first popped up, he looked so mischievous 😆
Corey coming forward each time for a scream 😅
would love to see the full album like this
Can you explain what this means? Shouldn’t they be doing their own role anyway?
@@soldier1913be smarter
@@ChaelSonnen000 aw come on
this is fucking cool
God damn it i miss Joey. That fuckin intro.
This is when Slipknot had balls man. Makes me sad.
Clown and Chris scream along with Corey every time he hits the "EYES" Scream.
I don’t think they really did it in the studio version
this is fuckin amazing
i think sid made a liitle scrach at 1:16
One of their best songs. S/t and Iowa were the best albums. Corey sounded a maniac in pain. This band was my first musical obsession at like 13 years old. But, the music seemed to get less intense and lost the psychotic vibes. Felt like a good friend drifting away from me.
I did this breakdown in music school as well.
More!
This is a good video, but you missed a lot of Craig and Sid parts
i always thought joey actually did that amen break with drums
you managed to mess that one up
In 1999 Josh Brainard was not in the band anymore and Jim Root took his place at the rhythm guitar. He joined Slipknot in january 1999 and this album came out in june 1999 (29th).
No shit but Josh is still on every song but Purity.
cool video concept. do a gojira or mastodon one ?
I never noticed Corey's hands on Chris's head lmao
Kinda like a band playing their instruments. 👍
In the outro sound of synthesizer's Craig real heard .. but u mute him .. 😂
That "door knocks" at 0:56 aint Joey I guess :D But great Idea overall!
2x speed is fire
I definitely hear some scratching around 0:52 and 0:56
with my headphones i cannot hear mick
it's in stereo so put both headphones in
Can you do this but with IOWA album ?
They all look so deuby now being seen individually seen from the album cover, especially corey lol
you missed a lot of parts of sid in the verse
@3:15 i cannot not hear corey screaming "do me in my butt now ahhhhhh"
Clown didn't even show up to record 😂😂
Bitch what
3:51 and 3:56 - u missid that. 2nd can be guitar effect, but 1st is sid's sound, or Craig
So pinhead is the equivalent to orchestral triangle first chair. Joey blew his back due to carrying the load. RIP
so... you cant see california witouth marlon brando's eyes?
How do you these videos?
Well, its very simple. I just get random pictures, remove the background as you can see for this one, its the self titled album cover, and I just separate all the members, its not perfect, but its close and I saved them as images, so when I do the video, whatever instrument they play, they come on.
@@soad-slipknotsmusicandvide8270 nice Photoshop by The way. This type of videos are definitely really interesting 👌🏻🙌🏻
He just do
You missed some samples
I don't get it
This is terrifying
And cool
You missed a few of Sid’s vinyl scratches
is josh brainard in the photo?
pero se llama pablo o no?
Wheres mick??? XDD
The only Slipknot song I need.
Just a remind: Chris Fehn DID NOT played in that record. All percussion was done by Shawn and the ones in the album cover are Josh Brainard and Greg Welts
This is not true, Chris was photoshopped into this cover and he did play on the album other than spit it out which had Greg welts on it. Look up original self titled cover and you will see the version without photoshopped Chris and without purple hair on josh
@@cameronlambert5185 Chris was there but he didn't record any parts
Is it bad that this song and wait and bleed are the only slipknot songs I like
wait corey lays like that? i thought hes staying lol
hes sitting in a chair and chris is sitting below him lol
Missing alot of Craig and the percussion in this.
You missed a bunch of Sid's parts
Sooo.... this is just eyeless?????
no me llamo pablo
You’re missing so much Sid parts
u miss scratches
I can't see California
That's why graig Jones kick out 😂
He missed a lot of Craig's parts and he didn't get kicked out, he retired. The man is 51 years old lol
Look me in my brown hole EYE
That's not right...... and where is Jim root
He's not on the album cover because he wasn't in the band yet when it was taken
I gotta say its weird to me slipknot became super over produced every song. Like sometimes they do a bit punk style, but usually basically stone sour now. Its weird.
You missed so many
So Clown does nothing but "bumbum" once? Sounds about right
Jim was never on this song it was Josh jim only did two songs me inside and purity josh is on the album cover jim ended up using Josh's mask for a lil bit and then changed to the jester
Jim could essentially wear Josh's mask, but it was very small and not comfortable for him, so he put on the jester mask
@@user-cd2xs4vj9y there was pictures of jim wearing joshs mask in the carnival pictures on the cd but the front cover was josh
Fail. Two guatarists after intro
Chris Fehn didn't perform anything on the first album
This is very. Very. Very. False.
Wtf was the point of this…?
Cool concept, but so much of Craig and sid missed
