My wife bought a Lady Colt...a special edition from one of the distributors with gold accents..forget which one..ANIB.. back in 2008...still in the original box with the 'velvet' bag...a real lady's gun...it's anazing...really when I met her 5 years previously she was terrified of guns...by 2008 she was collecting along with me and had her Florida concealed weapons permit...
I had to send mine back with an issue with the grip safety. So I've never fired mine.I was hot to trot over this one in 45.If it works well after this all's forgiven and this could become a favorite in my collection. Big if though.
ROOMS TO GO BABY!!!!!! Got a table identical to yours!😂🤣😂 BTW, I love my Baby Rock .380 !!!!
I would like to see RIA BBR .380 in stack like the rest of the other companies.
I got one the frame slide and barrel are pretty good. Had to do a trigger job, work on the slide stop. Now it shoots pretty nice and so far reliable. The trigger was nearly 13lbs and horrible. And the slide stop was too wide touching the bullets. It would lock back on second shot. It is mim parts on the inside. But i really like the longer barrel and yet still very small size. Its very accurate. And you can put it in your pocket if need be. Also had to polish the slide stop alittle where it locks the slide. It was taking 2 fingers to release the slide. Overall its worth 350.00 bucks. It shoots real nice.
Good review. I have the Rock Island 1911 A1-FS chambered in 10mm bull barrel. Just recently hand fitted a new Rock 40s&w barrel to it's slide. Didn't have to shave it much. Anyways, might have to pick up one of these. The only other 380 I have is a Remington rm380, which has been excellent.
I see in the comments where you got rid of yours, for biting into your palm? I wonder, now, if the Browning would be a better option? I have, also, a Baby Browning, serial is circa 1966.
A great little 1911 380 fun to shoot and a low price
I just can't get over the two ugly holes they drilled in the trigger for whatever reason.
It's a llama 380 I pulled up a parts diagram for the llama and for the baby rock and put them next to each other and other than different grips every single part is identical
Great video thank you. What are your thoughts, if you’re familiar with, the Springfield 911 in 380.
It's a fine gun. Reliable use 95 grain hollow points for carry
Any holsters you recommend for the baby rock .380?
That's a hard one. At our store we carry 1791 holsters and couple other brand all of a sudden I can't think of. I know that the same holster that works for the Browning 380 1911 will work but I think also a holster for a Glock 42 will be close but that's going to be a little bit wider and one for a Ruger ec9 might be closed
Do you know if these are approved/rated for +p ammo? I've been looking and haven't found any information yet.
+p is o.k. but not recommended.
@@TheJimminiShow thanks. I was literally asking for a friend. Given his general state of expertise I'll just tell him "no." :-)
Nice. I have to get one
I wanna see this in double stack
Rock Island makes a sub compact double stack in .45
Not all ammo will fit the mag on this pistol I wont buy another Baby Rock and I dont recommend it for a first time shooter.
I sold mine. Didn't like the way the 380 bit into my palm when I shot it. Almost forces you to hold it nose down. I agree not a good gun for a first time shooter
I have thought about getting one for a disabled vet friend. Looking back I have had numerous.... think @ 20 colt 380 governments and mustangs over the years. Carried a mustang as a covert pistol during my army career. Gifted most of them to my NCOs and some to women... friends and sweethearts. One to my daughter in law. I gave my oldest son a mustang plus 2 with coltguard finish to my oldest son. He was shocked that I gave him it. I told him nothing but the best for him. Gave him a 1911 kimber ultra compact 2 tone for xmas 2 years ago. It is his favorite. And yet he loves his 1st pistol too. I have 1 mustang plus 2 and colt mustangs in my safe.
To add to my other posts... I am thinking of gifting my disabled vet friend a taurus G3 or PSA 9mm Dagger. I recieved a G3 from my oldest son for my birthday 2 years ago. Shoots as good as my G19 at half the price. I am a 1911 tribe guy and yet love my glock 19. Edc for 4 months now. Eventually I will rotate to a 1911 compact down the line. Other candidate for my DV friend is a palmetto state Armory dagger 9mm. I bought one for 300 bucks and will shoot it next week. Thoughts? Thanks.
