The scripts for 1080p and 1440p resolutions are linked below. I definitely wouldn't run these scripts AFK! Make sure to download AutoHotKey first. Open the script in any text editor, and make the necessary changes to your keybinds. The default button to start the script is "[" which you can change. You might need to make some small adjustments if it doesn't run correctly. Then right click the file and run the script. You also need to reload the scripts in the system tray on the bottom right of Windows if you ever save and want to try out new changes.

Idk why Bungie didn't do this but the smart developer move for farming class items should've been fixing the dual destiny bug while introducing a new way of farming class items or maybe just a good increase to chest drop rate

@@hooky17don’t be pretentious. I have over 120 hunter class items and don’t have the roll I want. It’s a huge time sink if you want very specific rolls.
what grind? compared to hunting down a 5/5 god roll, the odds at an exotic class item being the roll you want are in the heavens, taking a random weapon, lets say apex predator, and doing the math on getting a 5/5, it would be 2/7ths X 2/5ths X 1/7th X 1/7th X 1/5th, giving an insane 4/8575 or a 0.04% chance at a 5/5 god roll, even if we lower it to a 3/5 (just main 2 perks you want and the masterwork you want) thats still 1/245, and only if we limit to JUST the base 2 perks you want, thats a 1/49, a god roll class item is a 1/64, and sure, you can at best expect a class item once every 30 mins or so, but there is no limit to how many chests you can open, you can only run last wish when its not in rotation 3 times to get loot, and each encounter has a chance at apex, not a guarantee at one, so that adds to the odds of getting one
TLDR: getting a god roll class item is easier then getting a god roll raid weapon, statistically easier
edit: to hammer my point home even more, the chance at an apex predator in a single last wish run that is a 5/5 is a 0.02% and now that I look back over my math, I forgot to factor armor into the equation, so its a 0.02% chance if you ONLY get weapons to drop in every single encounter

@@flamingscar5263 I do not miss farming materials in D1 to upgrade weapons and this is what that is. I play all 3 classes as well so that definitely factors into the grind

It shouldn't matter, there's no dupe protection so you'll just be coming back to a postmaster full of random exotics and you won't have lost out on any potentially good rolls.
Read me now. How about bungie add a new tab in colections only for the class item with all possible rolls that you can later pull if you want. And add a protection system so you dont get duplicates And you have to do at least 64 runs of duality (x3, for each character, so 192 runs ) if you want all the rolls.

Used that real old legendary shard macro for like a week straight while I was out of town, never had trouble.

It does not work for me. I have tried it, pressed [ to start the macro as the script stated. It fired my gun 3 times, ran to a different place on the map, waited then ran again, stopped and punched. That's all it did. Sure I could change the key binds to open chect rather than punch, but what's the point when it fires your gun and runs to a totally different place on the map and punches thin air. Plus even after all the wrong inputs, it doesnt reload the instance. As much as I appreciate this video, the macro itself, is completely usless, for me anyway. Maybe others will have more luck or be able to point me in the right direction.

@@Hbalderas23 Thanks for replying, I managed to work it out eventually. Yes it was the keybinds, however there is a common fault that others are having, that I too experienced. It doesn't always launch back into the Landing zone, after opening the chest. The left button click doesn't always register on the map and therefore messes things up. I managed to adjust the timings command though and now it works perfectly.

@@elundiscore3712 I played with a couple but I ended up copying and pasting a duplicate left button click on the map command. Basically adding another line of code. I'm no coder or programmer, but just reading the script, it wasn't that hard to add it. That way if it misses the first click, the 2nd one will get it.

As much as I appreciate the ingenuity and did this exact thing, I can’t stand people making videos… they will now crack down hard on macros that make every day life easier as well as changing the drop rates to one and every 300 chests. it really could ruin it.

I just do one loop around the landing open chest and then reset. I get one exotic for about every 25-30 chests which is 5-6 loops.
not always 25 30 mostley first 2 at 25 35 after that its increased could take 50 to 60

it is but basically nobody gets banned for macros, they’ve said in the past that they dont want gameplay to be completely automated but they haven’t been enforcing it

TECHNICALLY not, but this is probably the most "gray area" afk macro that has ever been available. i would not expect this to be available without a patch for very long at all

@@Gee-bg2rv They have player data and incredibly accurate data in that regard.
They could feasibly look for patterns that this macro throws up (time spent in one area, fast travels etc) and act on that. The likelyhood that they do ban is small but this will be dealt with hella fast.

If u like ur account i would not risk it to have a (bot macro) load destinations and go loot chest for you .I still think that they gonna listen to the community and A. Increase the rewards from doing the mission or B. Put the class item in other activities , The community just have to give enough "feeback" on it ;,D
All this does for me is make my character shoot 3 times and run off the ledge

We don't exactly know, it wasn't bannable for xp farms or legendary shard glitches but this is basically cheating and bypassing the intended way of getting class items so in my opinion it could be.

yes and no, if your automating something possible to do without a macro, then no, but if the macro allows you to do something you'd otherwise wouldn't be able to do, then yes
for real examples, a macro allows for 2 inputs to be sent at the exact same time, even the best keyboard in the world will have delays between clicks, so if something required pressing 2 inputs simultaneously, that would be banable as no keyboard in the world can do that (its impossible as the USB standard is a serial standard, meaning that data gets sent 1 after the other, 1 key press will ALWAYS be sent after the first, USB can not send 2 signals at once going the same way, which just means that a USB cable could send and receive simultaneity but can only send and receive 1 thing at a time)
but this wouldn't be bannable, nothing done here can't be done without a macro, all of this would be possible to do without one
Mainly depends if it is used to gain an advantage over other players or ruin their experience. If not, 99.9% of the time you're good.

Players on Bungie's Help Forum claim that Destiny 2 draws full load during runtime, so that would be the whole 500 W in our example.
Assuming one sleeps for 8 hours, the total power consumption overnight is 4,000 W or 4 kWh.
According to EnergyBot, average electricity price in June 2024 was 22.5 ¢/kWh. For a nightly 8-hour, 4 kWh consumption, that cost comes out to $0.90. If we run 24/7 for 1 day, cost is $2.70. if we run 24/7 for 1 month, cost is $81.
Forbes reported on average monthly electricity bills for consumers in the US, and the average from that came out to be $129.33.
Depending on where one lives, winter or summer costs can be 150% higher than off-peak consumption during the year. If we take the above average number of $129.33, 75% of that is $96.99 while 125% is $161.62. Just based on seasonal loading, that's about a $64 cost increase in one's bill.
This is all to say that the electricity increase from this D2 macro is comparable to the cost increase you'd see from seasonal climate variation.
We don't have to run for a whole month though. This macro repeats every 65 seconds. If running 24/7 at 86,400 seconds/day, you could get 1,329 drops. At a month in, you could get about 40,000. You'll likely get the roll you want way before you hit the month mark, so you'll probably stop the macro farm before then and not charge the full monthly price I calculated above.
All of this is to say that the electricity price argument against doing this isn't strong because there are many other loads people choose to power out of their own free will. We could all do well to lower our consumption and be more sustainable, but you're not arguing that.

@@user-yw9ys3dz7xClearly you have no context for this game. These "goofy virtual items" are exotic class items meaning that they never expire. Legendaries and rarities below that do, although Bungie got rid of sunsetting those with The Final Shape so nothing expires now.
And there's nothing goofy to them. These class items combine 2 perks from exotic armor pieces that only have 1 perk each. In Destiny 2, you can only activate 1 exotic armor perk at a time by wearing 1 exotic armor piece. Now this class items allows you to have 2 of those exotic perks active for 1 exotic armor piece. These class items have literally redefined Destiny's sandbox since players have only been able to run 1 exotic perk since 2014, minus the 2017 Rise of Iron expansion and its artifacts.
You're proving to be an armchair Destiny player and troll. Go away now.

This entire script can be done by a human and not by a macro. Imo this is the ethical kind of macro for that very reason. When you get into macros doing things that aren't humanly possible, then that's grounds for ban.

@@tank_dempsey it’s a big deal, cheating or using macros to gain a one up is never okay.. and it violates bungies terms and conditions. think about it for a moment. There are people who go to third party websites to purchase godrolls. Even though class items are limited to the exotic intrinsic perks, it still creates an advantage then the people who will grind to get the item they want.
@@michaelg4044 macros have been allowed before with no repercussions, which is quite literally why legendary shards don’t exist anymore. They never banned anyone then. This is only slightly more intensive than that, and affects 0 other people. If it was a public space I could see them enforcing. But not this
@@tank_dempsey They never said macro's are ok they just said that the instance you mentioned is not against their ToS. They still reserve the right to ban people if their behaviour is effecting the way the game is suppose to be played.
A script that presses a single button for you so you can afk farm glimmer/xp/shards is one thing. A script that auto runs to a chest and resets itself is something totally different.
Likely Bungie will put a hard block in because of this and it will somehow effect the people farming it as was intended. Like if you're having to afk farm an item the chances are you don't even need it to begin with.

I can’t wait for this to get patched! It’s one thing to have hundreds of exotics cause you stream the game all day, have a reliable friend group to run constant daily raids for hours, but for someone to get all this gear and not even play the game is so mind boggling bonkers for me to even fathom, I hope that Bungie is able to detect who uses these macros and bans them the same as PvP cheaters. Using outside programs to offer you a benefit for no effort is so cheese. Sorry for the unpop opinion, but that’s just lame.
