Join Galveston Unscripted as we explore the entire League Kempner Mansion, from Attic to Basement on 17th and Broadway.
This expansive home was built by J.C. League, a Galveston businessman and namesake of League City, Texas. The home was purchased by the affluent Kempner family in the early 20th century. The home had been vacant for a while, and was recently purchased by Janie Mitcham who is heading the restoration process.
This once abandoned Victorian mansion is undergoing a massive restoration. Designed by noted architect Nicholas Clayton, this Galveston historical treasure is slowly being brought back to life.

Janie... You always put a smile on my face! 😊
You’ve really left your mark on Texas. This is your legacy.
    Janie Mitchum rocked Galveston!
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Lucky for Ima, that you weren’t born in the same era. You’d have given her a run for her money. 😉😉😉

It’s amazing to see how far the house has come since this tour. Love the cinematic elements that really brightens and heightens the experience of the house. Can’t believe it took this long for the UA-cam algorithm to recommend this video to me. I’ve been following the League-Kempner channel since 2nd Empire Strikes Back recommended her channel. This channel kinda needs more attention.

I encourage you to see the video of the "Hay House", ,should be called the "Johnston Hay House", in Macon, Georgia.
It is absolutely the best of all Antique Homes, particularly of the Civil War Era/Southern Architecture.
The link below includes a detailed tour and History.
This Home is built Solid and complete, it reflects its original owner, a man that was Mature Minded and Wise.

Ah! Thank you! This is great. I have been needing a reference point for the layout of the house. I have only seen rooms here & there with no clear relationship to the other rooms. Enjoyed this a lot!

The house won the lottery with Janie. I think it would have been lost otherwise. Overwhelming amount of work to do for most people
